We were excited to spend an extended stay at this apartment for our Christmas holiday, it was the perfect size - 2 beds/2baths. When we arrived the overwhelming cigarette odor was of great concern. It permeated the unit, our clothing, etc. We did contact the office and were told the prior tenant broke the rules by smoking in the apartment, and they could send someone to clean it. A woman arrived with a bottle of spray disinfectant. Admittedly, she said the smell was horrible and she was unable to get rid of it by simply cleaning. Ultimately, management said it was out of their control. They were not responsible. No refund, no monetary compensation for our inconvenience. They claimed it was not a health hazard; we disagree and did not sleep well, we were congested and felt ill from the smell. We left two days early to stay at a hotel instead. We can't send photos of the smoke smell, but even after several days of airing it out and trying to rid the unit of the smell, it still persisted. They advertise a smoke free environment but did not fulfil that promise. We would have enjoyed the unit otherwise!
