First off: it’s absolutely absurd that they charge 30 euros if you arrive after 8 PM. (They warn you in advance). The rental is NOT cheap, and the extra charge stings.
That being said, the property is lovely, and well equipped. It was cool while I was in town and the heating system was perfect. There is a charming balcony and plenty of living space. I used the washing machine which was really helpful, and while I didn’t cook any meals, I used the microwave. The TV control was incomprehensible and therefore unusable. I also appreciated the bathroom, which had a large shower, since that is not often the case in Spain.
Most importantly, it is VERY quiet at night, despite being next to the train station.
The neighborhood is fine if you want to eat at restaurants there, but there’s not much else to see or do and it’s architecturally bland compared to the rest of Barcelona. Luckily you can hop on the subway and get anywhere, which is a few minutes’ walk.
Super location if, like me, you are travelling around Spain by train. Also, you can take a train or the subway non-stop from the airport.
