Great location

The location is certainly the best part of this property. You have access to so many wonderful parts of Barcelona, and the metro is very accessible to anywhere you might want to go. That being said, the bathroom had an odd smell to it. We reached out on the first day to get the wifi password and sadly didn't hear back till the last day. This is partially on us because we couldn't locate the email with that information in it, but communication was lacking a bit. It is also critical to follow the check in information and use the app to get in, we saw many people struggling to get in or use the elevator as they are controlled by an app. The bed could also be updated, it is just 2 twin sized beds pushed together.

Great location, limited space

Overall it was a fine space. The location in the Gothic quarter couldn't be beat so if location is your primary concern, then I would recommend. The check in is a few blocks away from the actual apartments which they don't really tell you . The space is *very* small. It can sleep two comfortably but there is limited floor space to put your luggage, sit around, etc. You are most likely going to be spending the day and evenings out and about so it's not a huge deal but if you are looking for a space that you can lounge around in, this might be difficult for you. The elevator was broken during the first leg of our stay. The locks on the door were difficult to work. We got lucky and eventually got in after a few tries each time but one morning there was this couple that had to sleep on towels in the lobby because they couldn't get it to work. On our second stay, the elevator works again and opens right into the apartment which was much better. Everything was very clean and the beds were *ok*. We had two twin beds pushed together to sort of form one larger bed. It met our needs just fine.

Great Location/nothing else

Really poor communication with office before arrival and then getting the key. They don't list their hours or answer their phone. The bed was ridiculously hard. Water leaking from ceiling in bathroom and shower drain didn't drain (good response on this but they left the shower full of floaties!). Also an overall sewer issue that caused heavy methane gas smell. Especially at the entrance. Other than that, it was a great location! Maybe I caught these guys on a bad week. This could be a really cool spot.

Only ONE major complaint...the bed was NOT comfortable (thin, lumpy & springy) and that is a critical component when touring long days on holidays. LOCATION was great! Walking distance to beach, shopping & many sights! Studio was QUAINT & clean. Check-in was painless. IF beds are upgraded I would consider a return booking...unfortunately I could not recommend to others until that upgrade has been accomplished. Your Canadian friends Kim & Landon

Best location!!!

This apartment was in the best location. We had been wandering around before we checked into our apartment and I made a note to visit this street later because it had so many cool, unique shops on it. Turns out that was the street our apartment was on. The decor was very nice. This is a small studio with a well equipped kitchen (which we never used), an industrial decor, an elevator, and a good sized bathroom. The only thing from keeping me from giving this a 5 star rating is the shower, which could use some updating. It was somewhat mildewed and the water drained slowly and probably just needs to be retiled. Even so, I would greatly recommend this apartment. Shops, groceries, restaurants, bars, and nail salons all a very short walking distance. A block from taxis and the subway.

The apartment was just as pictured! It's small but the layout works well so there is plenty of room for two people. The apartment managers responded to all of our needs and questions during our stay!

Great Location but disappointing amenities

First off we loved the location and would give it 5 stars for that. However, the unit overall was a bit of a let down. The pictures are great and for the most part it is as pictured but keep in mind they are showing the same pictures for multiple units. The stonework is beautiful and for the two of us it was all we needed. The bed was comfortable. Here is why the 3 stars. The shower had some mold and both the shower and sink leaked onto the floor a lot. They didn't leave enough toilet paper or towels for the length of our stay. The check in area is about 2 city blocks up the street and no phone to reach anyone so kind of a pain in the butt to get additional service. They basically give you keys and you are on your own. It is in the gothic district - super close to the Arc and Picasso museum - we loved walking through the cobble stone streets and all the graffiti is cool...lots of nearby markets for grocery items, restaurants, and bars. We felt safe at all times. The streets are very small and you will hear people until late (like 2am) walking in the streets below your apartment and the stores/bars opening and closing early and late so if you are a light sleeper this is probably not the best place for you. If you like a lively area and only plan on sleeping here (like us) then you will be fine although not your typical 4 or 5 star place if you like Marriott or Hilton type vacations. We travel internationally a lot and stay at both VRBO and Hotels so I hope you find this helpful.
