Apartment was less glamorous than what shown in pictures. There is not a lot of natural light, and furniture is dark and a bit run down. Building is old, with small elevators that is wonderful if you have a lot of stuff.In contrary what yoh would expect for an old brick building, it is poorly insulated: hollow walls, and ceiling make you hear all sort of conversation and noises. Internet WiFi is weak in bedrooms, and building. Apartment is clean and contain minimal toiletries (bring your own) Host is wonderful! Responsive and helpful. Allow to make the whole thing rather helpful. She was very accommodating with our request Location is great. Most of the things were 10-20min walk. Also 2 subway lines are few blocks away- which made it easy to go towards other parts of Barcelona.Not many shops in the area, a lot of quick food and coffee shops around.

Clean and spacious apartment in a great location. Check in using virtual keys slightly challenging for those who are not tech savvy but we figured it out. Check in is very late in the afternoon 5 pm so have a plan for the day. We arrived in Barcelona at 9 am but earlier check in was not available to us. The property managers very responsive when issues arose- our sink wasn’t draining …they had it fixed within 24 h, we couldn’t find the specialty coffee pods used by coffee maker in the super market…they sent a box over, etc. Especially good restaurant el Mercat at 35 Carrer de Casp not too far

Wonderful location and apartment

This apartment is phenomenal. A great, centrally located apartment with all the amenities one could want in a VRBO. We are a family of 4 (two tween daughters) and had plenty of room to spread out. Apartment comes with a washer/dryer combo. Check-in/check-out very easy. Key is through an app which failed for us many times but there is a backup code that worked. Overall excellent apartment and highly recommend to a similar sized group.

Beautiful apartment and great location

The apartment is gorgeous! The location worked perfectly for us - we could walk to La Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, the bus station (from which we took a tour to Monserrat) and many restaurants. The apartment was very comfortable, with ample common spaces and a nicely stocked kitchen. The primary bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and is quite spacious. The secondary bedroom is small but has a queen sized bed. We did not have any concerns with the disparity in room size. The apartment was clean and the owners were very responsive. I highly recommend staying here.

We had the best time in Barcelona and were grateful to have found this gorgeous, centrally located apartment! Walking distance to the Gothic Quarter and a short bus or metro ride to all the other places of interest. Highly recommend!

Wonderful time here

Loved the apartment! Was perfect for me and my husband and our two young children- loved the ease of access with the app to come and go and there was so much right outside our doorstep- close to transportation, grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants. We loved calling this our home base while exploring all of Barcelona. Would definitely stay again! Home was clean and updated!

Comfortable base for exploring the city

We stayed in the apartment for 8 nights and really enjoyed its proximity to great restaurants, bakeries, shops. We were 2 adults and a teenager. It's in a residential neighbourhood and only a short (15-20 min) walk from the Place Catalunya, Sagrada Familia, shops in Born and Passeig de Gracia. The apartment itself is clean and has a good kitchen, sitting space, and bathrooms. If I had the option, I'd give the apartment 4.5 stars because it lacks a few extras that would make it really excellent (linens and towels were fine but minimal, second bedroom is a bit cramped and could use some decor- drawers in that room don't open because of the bed placement). But overall, we were comfortable there and enjoyed our stay. Management responded quickly to our questions.

Absolutely Do Not Recommend

Cannot figure out all of the great reviews for this place. Biggest issue was cleanliness - there were stains on the sheets and towels, visible hair/dust/crumbs on the floors and in the bathrooms. Wifi does not work in bedrooms, lamp bulbs were burnt out, sink drain was clogged. Second bedroom is not as pictured, the room is one large bed with no usable space to even open a suitcase, and a closet that won't open due to bed being pushed up against it, with one small frosted window that looks into a dark courtyard with a broken shade over it. Maybe an acceptable space for a child - certainly not for an adult to make themself comfortable. Overall we were incredibly disappointed with the space, which was much more worn and dark than the photos portray. Only positive is that the property manager was responsive, although in the end not very understanding. While the host sent a cleaner after our first night (having to sleep in dirty sheets), we opted to leave as we felt extremely uncomfortable and ate the cost (as host would not budge on refunding even one night). Absolutely would not recommend this place, and while I'm at it - would not recommend VRBO either, whose support team is useless.

Perfect location Beautiful apartment!

This apartment was so perfect for our family! Almost everything we wanted was within walking distance. The apartment is in a nice quiet neighborhood, but close to almost everything! I think we only had to take a taxi twice. The apartment itself is big, comfortable, had everything we needed to stay comfortably, cook when we wanted to and the beds were super comfortable. The host was very helpful and responsive. There is a wine store across the street, and it was lovely to sit on the balcony at night to enjoy a nice glass of Spanish wine and enjoy life outside. There are grocery stores and bakeries on the street, excellent restaurants, and pretty much anything you could need right there.I couldn't be happier!

Location was great, central to everything/market within the block and cafes everywhere!. Place was very clean. My only issue is figuring out the door lock to apartment - It took several times to get it right. But that would not stop me from booking it again.

Great location, apartment, and communication

We so appreciated how easy the host made check in and check out. The apartment was beautiful, clean, well appointed, and blocks from the center of town. Could not be happier with the stay, and would highly recommend.
