"We came to Barbeau for an outdoor getaway. Ruthie’s Cottage was the perfect spot for us, clean, comfy beds, cute decor and a gorgeous 2nd floor view of the St. Mary’s River. The hosts were easily accessible and super helpful. The cottage was well appointed and the kitchen was supplied with all you could want for preparing meals The birds serenaded us all day. "My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!"
