"This listing is deceiving. The whole area was under a blizzard warning. They had roughly 3 days notice that this storm was coming, and it did. 14 inches of snow later I’m supposed to check in but the host forgot to make sure the rental was plowed. Her words “oh yeah I forgot that” when I called to find out what was going on. I was refunded that first day. Day two, and I didn’t get checked in until after 11am. So most of the day gone. "Found these cottages by chance & we’re so grateful. It seemed that EVERY other place was booked; required multiple night stays, or would not allow pets. Our request was granted promptly thru VRBO, as usual. Admittedly, it was strange not having a hotel clerk to admit us, but we were used to it w VRBO. "It is not a great first impression as there are empty storefronts in the building, and there was a bike parked right in the way when we first walked in the front door. BUT, it is a very good value. We visited our son for Parent's Weekend at MTU and did not want to pay the high hotel prices. This property is clean and had what we needed. "

"We had a great time at this cabin- everything was clean and as advertised! The hosts were really friendly and easy to communicate with. The proximity to the 41 made it easy to venture out to different parts of the U.P.! We’d definitely stay here again! "
