- The kitchen area was nicely set up. Could have used a few more full size dinner plates, tongs and other utensils.- Glad that the gas tank for the grill was full. - Enjoyed the sauna!- Great host response for everything that we was asked about. e.g. no smaller garbage cans were available in the kitchen, but a solution was quickly provided. Outside light was very bright at night, but host told us where the off switch was. - Didn't realize from the pictures/description that the full bath on the first floor was en suite to a bedroom and not readily available to everyone else to use. - Excellent location close to Bar Harbor, yet quiet, even with the MDI Marathon going on that weekend. - Some of the beds were too soft, some too firm. Maybe they could be flipped, rotated or replaced.Loved the place and already booked it for next year- same time!

Our family stayed for a week in October. The property was large, secluded, yet amazingly close to the park, popular trails, the beach, and Bar Harbor. The basement game room was a hit with the kids and the jacuzzi was enjoyed by all. The property offers many opportunities to see wildlife including deer, fox, raccoons, coyotes, and even bear. I would highly recommend this property if you are visiting Acadia!

Very nice house located very close to downtown Bar Harbor. Ideal for large groups (family or friends). Very well equipped to cook family style meals and enjoy friends and relatives. Walking distance from town / restaurants. Highly recommend it!

PERFECT

We arrived to our Strawberry Hill home and six of us found the bedroom that suited our needs. The home was SO VERY CLEAN and EVERYTHING was GREAT. We found a shorter route to Main Street by turning right at stop sign which was helpful. We shopped at Hannaford grocery, ate at the Reading Room which was DELICIOUS. If I wanted to add something to my BRING list I would suggest a face mask to shut out the light in the mornings from the shades. The sauna was DELIGHTFUL and I haven’t played PAC-MAN since FOREVER. We had a BLAST and this home was PERFECT.

Perfect for multiple families.

House is as advertised and more. Location is great. So close to town. House was wonderful for 6, 15-17 year olds. Everyone had enough room and there was great space for game nights. The property manager was delightful and helpful. Highly recommend.

The location of the house was perfectly situated between the village of Bar Harbor and Acadia. We really enjoyed the size of the house as we had a large group with 13 people to accommodate. The basement was great for entertaining the kids!

Great location in the heart of Bar Harbor and Acadia NP

This listing was perfect for our occasion with family and friends! It is a 5 min drive into the heart of Bar Harbor, and very close to many of the amazing Acadia NP highlights (5 min to Jesup, 15 min to Sand Beach/Beehive/Ocean Shore, etc). The kitchen is large and beautiful and it was well-stocked as far as pots/pans and plate-ware. Dining and living room are more than spacious for gathering for meals, hanging out and games nights. The deck and backyard are also gorgeous and perfect for spending time relaxing and hanging out outside. The host was responsive throughout our stay with any issues we had but I would recommend bringing additional paper towels, toilet paper and garbage bags as not enough were provided for our stay at all. I will also note that the listing states 4 full baths, 1 half-bath but we could only find 3 full baths, 2 half baths. We didn’t follow up with the host to see if there was a hidden one we couldn’t find because it wasn’t a huge deal but we were initially excited that each couple (we went with 4 adult couples) would essentially have their own full bath. Overall, would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend to others!

Fall in Bar Harbor

The home was beautiful with plenty of room for 9 people ! The house is conveniently located to town and the park! We couldn’t have asked for better weather and fall foliage. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This house had everything and more

We loved staying at Strawberry Hill. The six bedrooms were all very comfortable with excellent storage in each room. Each room felt private, and only one of the bedrooms even shared a common wall. The bathrooms were well appointed and spacious. The master bathroom with Jacuzzi Fireplace was unique. The kitchen was very well supplied and stocked with everything, including All the appliances and utensils we needed for some very fun family cooking. It had the big pots and all the utensils for opening up the lobsters The living room was a great gathering spot. The property was very private also and we could not see any neighbors – only the trees that were changing color for the fall. The location to the town of Bar Harbor was great so after we left the restaurant, we were back at the house in just a couple of minutes. This home is excellent in all ways. I booked the house for the family. Everyone expressed so much gratitude to me for picking the ideal place for a family reunion. Working with the property management company was excellent – they responded to all communications and questions very quickly, often in just a matter of minutes. Thank you main Vacation Rentals and owner Justin for a great experience in Maine. We plan to come back again soon.

Weekend trip

We only stayed the weekend, but would have loved to have spent more time here! We were able to be with family, but still have our own space as needed. We didn’t have enough time to enjoy all the house had to offer! Would book again!

Great last night to weekend stay in Maine

We had a great night at Strawberry Hill, we stayed one night as an end to a weekend camping trip. I would highly recommend them for any group/family looking for a house with a lot of space and great for families of all ages with the activities provided. Thanks for a great ending to our trip!

The property is spacious and in a great location. Close enough to walk into town and tennis courts. The property management was extremely helpful and friendly. They repaired clogged sinks and replaced non functioning grill during our stay. Cleanliness of property was lacking but management did try to address this issue also.

Family Reunion

Finding a home for a family reunion is no easy task, however this house accommodated us all. The house was clean, secluded, and within a moderate walking distance of main streets in Bar Harbor. Everyone in my family was satisfied with the stay.

Great space for a family reunion

The house was perfect for our group of 16 ages 12 to 54. We were easily able to host an 80th birthday celebration for my mom. Plenty of seating for 20 people. The house and sleep arrangements were pretty ideal compared to other stays at other locations. My only suggestion is extra towel sets!

Great location

Our family - 13 total - spent Labor Day weekend in Bar Harbor and this was a great place for us. Very spacious! It was close to town (approx a mile) but not within walking distance for our family of small children. The children enjoyed the woods, the game room downstairs, and being in Acadia. The house doesn’t have central air but they provided a floor unit air conditioner in each room which meant the rooms often were either hot or cold. I would recommend and stay here again if our family is ever back in Bar Harbor.

Lovely home

We enjoyed the spacious rooms. Everyone had a place to go for some down time. There were games, toys, and lots of fun things for the kids of all ages to do. The yard was nice. Everything was very clean. The host was extremely helpful and very prompt. Our family had a very enjoyable experience.

Fantastic Bar Harbor Retreat

We had an amazing stay at this spacious, spotlessly clean house in Bar Harbor. It's conveniently close to downtown, with a beautiful backyard and all the amenities we needed. The kids loved the basement with ping pong and foosball and the basketball hoop in the driveway. Highly recommended!
