This was an absolutely beautiful place. Off the beaten path, which was nice for calm evenings - after being in Bar Harbor during the days. We were 7 people and this place was plenty big. So clean - that really stood out to us. Highly recommend to any family heading to Bar Harbor/Acadia.

The house is exactly as described and a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of Bar harbor. The host was helpful and prompt in answering any questions we had. Our family of 4 along with my parents fit comfortably in this home and created lasting memories of Maine.

Excellent stay!

We could not have enjoyed our stay anymore than we did! The house was just as described, the views were beautiful! The home had everything we needed for our stay plus some. The owner was very responsive, and the location was perfect for visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor, and then returning to the peaceful side of the island.

Maine getaway

We had a great time at this property. The house was very charming and clean. The sunsets are spectacular. We enjoyed lobster twice that the owners dropped off for us. We slept in the downstairs bedroom with the king bed and it was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Its an ideal location, close to downtown Bar Harbor and several other quaint little villages.

Cozy Cottage

We enjoyed our recent stay at Harborside Cottage, which was very clean upon arrival. Such beautiful sunsets from the deck! Elean was very quick to respond to any questions. Quick drive to many restaurants and Echo Lake Beach.

Perfect place

My wife and l had a wonderful week here in this beautiful spot on the western side of Bass Harbor, where the sunsets are gorgeous and the kayaking couldn’t be better. Elean, the host is terrific. She went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable.

Love This Harborside Location

This house sits on a fantastic location. It is far enough away from the tourist “hub-bub”, but close enough to touch everything Acadia Ntl Park and Mt Desert Island have to offer. There are peaceful sunsets, a view of the lobster boats and tide activity, and access to great food. The house is a very comfortable place to land for a week! The Host provided great info for the stay as well as things to do. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Honeymoon

Harborside Cottage was amazing! We had to change plans for our honeymoon on short notice and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Not only was the property available on short notice but it was spacious, clean, stylish, and very homey with a great waterfront view. It felt like our home away from home. Elean was an awesome host with great communication leading up to and throughout our stay. I highly recommend staying at Harborside Cottage if you’re planning a trip to Maine!

Beautiful house by the harbor

The property was as advertised. It is in a wonderful location, close to Acadia and Bar Harbor but far enough that it's fairly quiet. The house itself was in immaculate condition. It was nice to sit outside and look at fishing boats or the deer that wandered into the yard each night and morning.

Great place on the quiet side

Clean and spacious property with everything we needed to have a great week for our family of 5. Reasonable driving distance to everything. Enjoyed being able to go out at low tide and explore. Hosts were welcoming and communicative. They made sure the cottage had everything you needed. Would definitely recommend

Exactly what we were hoping for

Great location if wanting to take advantage of the quiet side of the Island. Property was exactly as described and very well appointed… it had all the pots/pans/utensils needed. Sunsets were simply amazing. The harbor view was spectacular. great to have the outdoor space to simply enjoy 'being there'. Great communication with owner. A+ all around!

Wonderful!

Elean was gracious and attentive to our needs for our entire stay. Cottage is out of the way enough to be quiet and cozy, but at the same time close enough to all the area attractions to be a great launch point. Cottage is very comfortable and well maintained. Kitchen is equipped very nicely for the evenings that you don't go out. We highly recommend this spot!! Mike & Melinda

Lovely

This was just right for us. Quiet Side location on the water was so serene and relaxing. Enjoyed all the amenities, especially fire pit and roasting marshmallows in the evenings. Got some of the best sleep in ages - very quiet at night. Stones throw from SW Harbor and all there is to feast on there. Really appreciated being able to easily access Bar Harbor without having to be in the thick of it and related crowds. Hope to return soon.

We loved it!

Bottom line - we loved it! Everything was comfy and clean. We loved waking up and having coffee on the deck overlooking the water. The property is on the quieter side of MDI, but there was still so much to do! Ample supplies in the kitchen, but no dishwasher. We ate out a lot so we didnt have to wash too many dishes. At high tide we jumped off the wharf with our kids and had so much fun! Overall 5*!

Beautiful, scenic and calm

Everything stated online is exactly what you get! The home itself is solidly built, energy efficient, comfortable and well planned for two couples at least to share the home. The separation by having living quarters downstairs and upstairs with both parties easily meeting in the dining room or tv lounge was excellent for privacy. Elena answered our questions and was never obtrusive. Scenery was beautiful. Ease to get to stores, restaurants and hikes were a plus. Great way to wind down and relax.

Best hosts ever!

Have spent many fall seasons at Acadia, but this accommodation was one of the best. The view was unparalleled, and when you’re stuck for a week due to Covid, the view is even more important! Our hosts were very responsive anytime we had a question. We had a power outage while on the island, and before we woke up, we had the necessary items to get us through that power outage. The cottage is outfitted very well, the kitchen has anything and everything you can need. Plenty of bathrooms, beautiful deck, and the surroundings were lovely. We will stay there again on our next visit! Thank you, Elean and family.

Great vacation in Maine

We are a family of 6 and had a great vacation. Reservation was very easy and communication with the owner, Elean, was seamless. Everything about the property was wonderful. The facility was recently renovated and very clean. Yet, still retained the ambiance of a Maine cottage. Waking up early in the morning and sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee while checking up on emails and work was very relaxing. Sunset was wonderful. Distance to Acadia and Bar Harbor was just perfect. This is a great place to stay. Close enough to main attractions, but sufficiently far for solitude and relaxation. Lastly, clamming when the tide goes out was a blast for me and my children.
