This house is all about the location! It sets on a beautiful property and is a mile from access to Acadia Park loop road, not to mention close to town. More than enough space for 5 adults to lounge around. The weather was starting to turn to fall so using the fire pit and having the fireplace was so nice. Had a question, and the property manager was so quick to answer. Highly recommend.

7 of us stayed at this little hideaway cabin and really enjoyed ourselves for the whole week. There was hiking and cycling, antiquing, lobster rolls, ice cream, making art, sightseeing, sunrises and sunsets, stargazing, and celebrating a milestone 50th wedding anniversary! We had a lovely time on our 7th trip to Bar Harbor and would highly recommend the cabin if you want something clean, quiet, and close to town.

What we liked •lots of natural light, great forest view•close proximity to everything •5 bedrooms with queen beds was perfect•Beds very comfortable, but too tall.•Grilled steaks & veggies -- delicious! •open space kitchen, dining, living areas perfect for being together. •plenty of dinnerware •upstairs bathroom spacious•glad for washer & dryer •appreciated sunscreen & bug sprayImprovement needed•Sticky/gummy finish on dining table was impossible to clean. Bought cheap disposable table covers. •Stove-top light didn’t work.•Toaster doesn’t lift up; had to unplug toaster & use fork to get the bread out•Grill drip pan, filled to the brim, not usable. •Upstairs bathroom grout in the tub has mildew. •The basement bathroom & 2 bedrooms had spiders & cobwebs in the corners at the floor & ceiling. •The basement bathroom shower has mildew & sink is missing a stopper.•Basement bedroom near bathroom uncomfortably warm with no A/C; the fan provided helped but not enough.•Basement bedroom further from the bathroom had no curtain on main window, though rod was there. •Only one pool table cue stick was usable. Others were missing the tips. •we found a load in the dryer that included a disintegrating shower carpet. It left a lot of gritty crumbles that required thorough cleaning before we could use the dryer. We wiped out what we could with paper towels. We found the shop vac & used that to clean the dryer better.

Cabin/house is very comfortable, great location with plenty of room for our family of 8 adults and 1 toddler. It was nice being so close to everything. We hiked in the AM, went back for lunch and a nap then hiked again in the afternoon. Highly recommend Diver Ed tour and Arcadia Lobster cruise.

A wonderful stay, perfect family home - we comfortably fit 7 people and 2 dogs. Really enjoyed time out on the deck as a family. Very easy to get to trails and town from the house. Would recommend staying at Ken’s!

Bar Harbor Puffin Adventure

We loved our stay at this Bar Harbor log cabin home that was within minutes of downtown Bar Harbor, Thunder Hole, The Wild Gardens of Acadia (highly recommend), Schooner Head Overlook, Asticou Azalea Garden and several accesses to the park. This place easily sleeps 10 people with all the comforts of home. The beds were comfortable and included 2 pillows per person. There was an abundance of towels and we never ran out of hot water! The kitchen was well furnished with cooking equipment and tableware. The oven, stove, toaster, coffee maker and dish washer worked well. There was lots of space where the family could gather together or hide if you needed a little quiet time. My 3 year old granddaughter loved the deck - great place for her to play and ride a little bike. The side porch with the entrance to the house was covered allowing us to unload the car and quickly get out of the rain on arrival. We used the fire pit twice to make some-mores. I highly recommend this home for vacation.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our visit. The home had plenty of space for our family. It was very convenient to the Park Loop, Acadia, and Bar Harbor. The pool table was well used with challenges between the family members.

Family vacation

The property was beautiful! It was secluded but close to everything we were interested in doing and seeing. Unfortunately, the weather was not very cooperative so we werent able to enjoy the firepit as much as we would have liked. The house was everything it said it the description. The beds were awesome. I would definitely recommend this rental!!!

Maine Autumn Experience

Perfect location and beautiful house. We are a family of 10 adults and had plenty of room. The park is fun to visit though parking can be challenging. The same with Bar Harbor, great town but difficult to park. I’d recommend this home and location for a Fall getaway. Foliage was amazing. House was clean and stocked but needed a few more forks and coffee cups. 😀

Great Home Close to Acadia

My family stayed at this beautiful house the first week of October. The house is large and can fit 8-10 adults comfortably. We loved that this house is one mile from the ocean path and 10 minutes to Bar Harbor. 5 of our family had never been to Acadia and this house probably spoiled them. We loved the large deck and the fire pit was a nice amenity that we enjoyed several evenings. We would definitely stay again. You feel like you are in the woods secluded but you are right near all the action. You do need to bring paper towels and extra toilet paper but everything else was supplied.

Excellent Cabin Rental!!!

My adult kids and I had a wonderful week at this cabin! It's so close to Bar Harbor, less than 5 minutes from Sieur de Mont Acadia entry, and is so quiet! We loved the fire pit, balcony, and beautiful light coming in the large windows!

The Maine Event

We had the best time on our girls trip. There was 8 of us. the house was wonderful with such great access to downtown and the national park. The best were so comfortable. The only time we needed to contact Ken, things were taken care of immediately. It was an enjoyable and memorable trip for all of us!!!

Family Vacay

Our family of nine had a wonderful time spending a week at Bar Harbor Home Near Everything! The name is perfect. You can walk to trailheads or hop the bus that goes right by the house. Town is a short drive or bus ride away. The home was a perfect size for our family, 4 couples and a toddler.

Enjoyable Maine reunion

My family and I enjoyed returning to Maine after 25 years. Acadia had been a favorite vacation spot for me, my children and brother and his family. So this was a special vacation as we returned with my grown children and their young boys. The house was spacious for our group. The children enjoyed the pool table, games,etc. They loved roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. The house could have been cleaner though. Also we were seven people and there were only 7 forks which meant we had to wash forks throughout the day to have them available. Overall, the house was in a great, quiet location with plenty of space for all of us to spread out. We particularly appreciated that it was so close to Bar Harbor and its shops and restaurants.
