Home needs safety improvements. Porch stairs are rotten and splintered. Grounds could use som cleanup. Nice view and comfortable master.

Sweet little house

We took a quick trip for less than 48 hours to Grandfather mountain for a parent weekend getaway. Tranquility was the perfect home away from home. It was very clean, photos were accurate of the property. We enjoyed the hot tub and seeing different wildlife right in the backyard. Would recommend.

Wonderful Weekend!

My wife and I stayed for a weekend and had a great time. The house is perfect for a couple or small family. We were able to enjoy a quiet night in the hot tub but we were also very close to Banner Elk for entertainment and multiple ski slopes. We would love to return!

Magnificent

The property is beautiful and the views are incredible! Everything you need is in the house already as well as user friendly instructions for equipment. We have stayed in other houses 2x before and Tranquility house tops them both! Plus I Greatly Appreciate the fact that we didn't have to clean anything upon departure!!! Thank you very much! We would love to come again

Weekend at Oz

Love the space and the views! The home was very clean but the outdoor furniture could have been hosed off prior to our visit (many spiderwebs). The sunrise and sunset from the living room windows and the fire pit were out of this world, and we saw plenty of deer and happy birds every morning. We stayed during Autumn at Oz and this home was fairly close to Beech Mountain. I would most definitely stay here again - wonderful mountain getaway!

Great Winter house!

What a beautiful view! Perfect place for a morning coffee by the main window! Great hot tub, comfortable beds and pretty fireplace! Close to downtown Banner Elk as well. We will be back next year!

Spectacular views

The views from this house are absolutely beautiful !! we were there for the full season and it was so beautiful. we enjoyed the fire pit in the front of the house as well as the hot tub. The house is so close to downtown Banner Elk only five minutes. Two minutes to the Banner elk winery which we enjoyed and went numerous times. Food Lion supermarket is a short, eight minutes beautiful drive. The location is perfect. We will definitely go back to this house and would recommend it. 👍👍

App State Football Weekend

Wonderful stay! This property was exactly as advertised! Cute and cozy but plenty of room to visit. We enjoyed the fire pit after the game having drinks with friends. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was so comfy and the hot tub was great for relaxing in the evenings. The view was amazing. Everything was perfect! Thank you!

Great property!!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Tranquility House and it is a great property! Extremely clean and a view out the front door of the Appalachian Mountains. Roku TVs in the den and bedroom. Well stock kitchen with everything you need for your cooking. Banner Elk is a wonderful town with lots to do. We love walking and there is a lovely park in the center of town. Lowe's is a great grocery with high end seafood and meats. There is a winery right down the street and a brewery in town. There is a property manager who is very helpful. Highly recommend this property!!

Pleasant Week

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tranquility Cottage. The mattress and bedding were very comfortable. While we did not cook much except for breakfast, the kitchen was well equipped for cooking full meals. The hot tub was nice to have. We saw many small animals on the property such as chipmunk, gopher, fawn, bunny. The view was breathtaking. We liked that the location was secluded but less than a ten minute drive to restaurants in Banner Elk. Except for the driveway, there were paved roads to get to the cottage. The only recommendation we would have would be for the cleaning people to leave some A/C on or windows open if the weather is above 80 degrees when guests arrive. There is no central Air but 2 room units that are slightly noisy. When we arrived, the place was like an oven and it took many hours to cool it down. After the first day, the weather was in the 70's so we only needed to open the windows and then it was very pleasant. Overall though a great stay.

I questioned all of the 5 star reviews!

When my husband and I started looking for a mountain getaway, we wanted somewhere close by, sized for two and reasonably priced. When I came across Tranquility Cottage, I immediately liked the size , price and distance from our home. It was just what I was looking for! But I must be honest. The number of 5 star/positive reviews made me very skeptical. I even quoted to my husband the old saying “ if it seems to good to be true, it usually is.” I’m a person who read reviews for every hotel, restaurant and so forth that we visit. Sadly, there have been times when the very favorable reviews were a complete disappointment. Obviously fake! But I decided to take a chance with this cottage. And I was oh so pleasantly surprise with Tranquility Cottage!! The 5 star reviews proofed to be very deserving. The cabin is SUPER clean, cozy and conveniently located. The view is truly beyond description. It was cool enough for the fireplace. That partnered with the view took our getaway over the top. My husband is a Pastor and the view bears witness of the beauty of God’s creation. Meditation comes so easy with a view like that of Tranquility Cottage! Any Ministry Leader in need of a getaway—-this is the place for you! Especially if you’re in the NC/SC area. It’s so hard to get my husband to take time to relax. But , he was actually the one who mentioned returning! Which by His Grace, we definitely will.

Can't wait to go back!

This place is everything you can imagine & the pictures don't do it justice. The house was clean, well kept & very welcoming. Everything you could need is provided. The view is spectacular and the hot tub was amazing. Even with the crappy weather, which changed most of our trip plans, we were able to enjoy all the house has to offer. I loved having my coffee in the most wonderful rocking chair, looking out the massive living room window. And the pond is a hugeee bonus! The boys caught 14 fish together, including the bass of a lifetime my son caught. It was an amazing trip & we will definitely be back.
