The condo is nice. Furniture is in good condition, the view from the covered deck is exceptional. Wi-Fi was working and easy to connect. Kitchen was nice. Dish towels in the kitchen would have been nice. Water pressure in all of the faucets is low. Carpet in the bedrooms is quite worn.

Fun trip with a baby

This was our third time staying here. Everytime has been great. We really enjoy the area and the access to a lot of fun areas. We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the unit this time though. It was 60 degrees inside upon arrival, there was a pretzel and some trash on the floor, there was mold in the bath tub, and I I found a blood stain on my pillow case. Other than that the unit is well equipped for a good time and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The unit is nice but needs updating. It wasn’t cleaned properly before we arrived so that was disappointing. Carpet is old and worn, cabinets need repainting, bedding is tired. We have stayed at Echota many times so we generally know what to expect and this wasn’t it.

Amazing view & comfortable home

The view was absolutely amazing! Plenty of room for our group of 4 adults & 1 teen. Very comfortable living area, large bedroom & bathrooms, and comfy King beds!

The worst! Do Not Book with Vacasa

DO NOT BOOK THIS RENTAL. The worst flooding in history in boone area. We made it to the rental anyway using back road and 4 wheel drive. When we arrived the previous tenants were still there do to closed roads. There was not power which was not unexpected. But the condo was not cleaned. We left as we were not able to stay in condo with other people there. Vacasa's only response was re-book same condo within 30 days. There are no more weekends available within 30 days even if the area is recovered in that time. We would have been happy to reschedule at later date in spring when we will be returning to area, but they will not budge. Save yourself and do not book through this company.

Property is small but view out the back is a beautiful Mountain View. More difficult to find than expected. Communication with Vacasa the host was a California subcontractor and new very little about property.

Terrible Experience

The home is great in pictures. We were unable to checkin until 2.5 hours past the scheduled checkin time. We expected to checkin at 4pm but could not until 6:30pm at which time cleaning was still occurring. We traveled hours with a child and could not even get in. We were told we would be credited for this issue and we were not. The home was filthy. Owners should be embarrassed. Stains on bedding, extra bedding, and couch was so stained we couldn’t sit on it. There were no working smoke/fire alarms. There were bugs in the light fixture over the table which shows the obvious neglect of management and cleaning. Would not recommend this home or the rental management company (vacasa) to anyone. During our last night we could smell gas. With no working smoke and fire alarms we felt it best to leave. What a terrible experience all the way around.

Great access to fun activities and great dinning.

We did the Alpine Slide, Mystery Hill, and Linville Cave. Shopped at Belk and the outlet. Dined at Bella Italian Restaurant, Vicious Biscuit, and Daniel Boone Restaurant. Stick Boy is wonderful. Fun time, although the weather was not the greatest.

Great views and comfortable place

The home was clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and linens. They had plenty of towels and pool towels for us, which can be rare for rentals! We were disappointed that the outdoor hot tub wasn't open near us (probably expensive to heat with limited use in the winter/spring) but went to the indoor one a few miles away and enjoyed that. I imagine the pool and hottub by this unit is amazing in the summer and fall. The area was beautiful but know you are taking a windy road with a lot of switchbacks to get down to any stores or towns. We were there to relax so it wasn't a big deal but it definitely factored into our plans. Lastly, part of the dining room table was broken and I tried to contact management to make sure they knew about it but could not message them and the emails we got were no reply so we couldn't contact them.

Overall the stay was good

The stay was overall nice . We just had trouble getting up the last hill due to the ice on the ground we had to call a tow truck . And the rep that was helping us and reserving was nice but did not supply all of the codes to enter the home in an appropriate manner. That delayed our entrance into the home but once we got it in it was beautiful and the view was amazing.

Peaceful, private mountain get away

Perhaps it's the time of year, even though the home is a condo, it felt very secluded and private. We didn't realize how foggy it can get and stayed a night in with the cozy fireplace. Only a 20 minute drive to town for shops and restaurants. It even snowed a little before we left. The condo was clean, comfortable, and tastefully updated. It was a perfect long weekend getaway and we can't wait to return!

GREAT CONDO WITH GREAT VIEWS

We enjoyed the location of the Condo and all the amenities included. Spectacular Mountain View’s. The Condo was very clean with the exception of the Master bathroom toilet and the Deck Furniture cushions. And not enough toilet paper. Also, Keypad Entry was not functioning correctly and we had to use the actual key, which was a bit of ordeal accessing. Too long of a story to type out. The guest bathroom tub - was draining very slow - needs Drain- O or some type of drainage applied to it. We enjoyed our stay very much and we really like the Condo we stayed in vice the problems noted above. But biggest issue that we had with this whole process is: why I booked through Vrbo, but was also dealing with Vacasa? I requested detailed Check In and Check Out instructions from Vacasa multiple times but got very general information at best. Last year we stayed at Sunset Beach NC - booked through Vrbo, we and very precise and detailed Check In/ Out instructions, along with detailed instructions as to all the amenities we had access to and how to access them and where they were located, etc. None of that for this vacation stay. Just had to figure a bunch of that out through trial and error. Very frustrating. If we go back to Echota, which probably will, we will just go through Foscoe Rentals. My sister-in-law said that they are easier to use and give you all the information you need. Thank you.

"The Almost Perfect Condo!"

My husband & I stayed for 2 nights in this gorgeous condo with the spectacular views from the porch. It was clean, and comfortable plus had a kitchen that was well stocked. Location was great for our day trips to Blowing Rock & Boone. We loved the new wicker furniture on the porch and used it daily. What views! I posted a bunch of early morning photos and some sunset views from the road. The reason I didn't give it a 5* rating is that it mentioned that Netflix would be available and we were glad since we use Netflix at home. When we tried to watch Netflix in the evening, it only had "kids" that you could watch and when we clicked on the "Jason" name...it said "There is not an account for this household." So there was not a lot to what we could watch...lots of sports, wrestling, etc. Also, it would be a good idea to put some blinds or shades on the doors leading out to the porch because when the sun comes up in the morning and shining brightly there is a definite glare for a long time and hard to fix breakfast shining right on you!

Location with in Echota is great. The condo needs a good deep cleaning. Slipcovers all have stains. Kitchen cabinets are sticky. No wine glasses. Very few serving pieces. Master bedroom linens tattered and old.
