  • Misty Peak es una cabaña de tres dormitorios y dos baños ubicada en forma privada pero convenientemente ubicada a Boone. Esta casa es todo lo que podrías desear para una escapada cómoda, agradable y entretenida. Cocina completamente equipada con todo lo que uno necesitaría para preparar una comida. Asientos cómodos dispuestos alrededor de la chimenea de piedra de gas. El área de comedor tiene capacidad para seis personas con asientos adicionales en la barra del bar en la cocina. The cabin stayed warm for the duration of our stay, the hot tub wouldnt work for a few days but eventually started working the last few days we were there. The views from inside the cabin were phenomenal, and the upstairs tub was great after a day of hiking in the snow.

Relaxing Retreat

The goal was to disconnect from the world and reconnect with the family. The cabin and location allowed for that very well. The view was great and the amenities as described.

Enjoyable quick trip

The property was as advertised. Comfortable and relaxing for everyone. The fireplace worked sparingly but overall the property was comfortable and convenient.

Mountain weekend

Best view. Nice accommodation. Hot tub cover was broken was a real pain to deal with. Would be nice if there was a tv in the main living area, not just the loft. Overall great place would definitely come back.

We have rented several cabins in this area and this is our best experience so far! The kitchen was very well stocked for some simple meals. Views were incredible. While I would recommend 4wd, the access was in good condition and not impossible, as some have been. Wi;; rent this cabin again

Excellent remote getaway

The property is nicely appointed and the long range views of Sugar, Beech, & Grandfather Mountains are wonderful! A hot tub with a view? Yes please! The location is a bit more remote than anticipated, but after the first couple of day trips to regional adventures, it really wasn’t an issue. We would stay here again for sure!

Birthday Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Misty Mountain Cabin. It’s private and secluded, clean and cozy! It rained on/off while we were there but that didn’t stop us! We still hiked all over, ate outside on the huge deck and enjoyed the hot tub!! The cabin was reasonably close to Boone and Blowing Rock so it was easy to get downtown too! We would definitely recommend!!

View off front of cabin was awesome!

Very clean and comfortable! View off of front of cabin was spectacular. Leaves and weather were fantastic! A little too far off the beaten path for us. We will be looking for something in or close to Valle Crusis next year for convenience. Highly recommend this property!!

Everything was as expected and fine. EXCEPT. The cabin is extremely noisy. At first we thought someone was upstairs when we walked in, with what sounded like floors creaking. No one was there but us. I went upstairs and the creaking was above my head. Looking at the beams supporting the roof I could see that many (half?) of the support beams were barely touching what they were supposed to be holding up, and were held in place by ONE LAG SCREW! This structure is at risk for falling down! Every other structure like this that I have ever seen has the beams either morticed in or strong brackets at each junction. This roof cannot be up to code. I strongly suggest you get a structural engineer to look at this. This creaking is random and sometime very loud. Wind, cold temperatures, and direct sun seemed to exacerbate it. Please have it checked out!

This house and view are great. I would say the details about how to get there and the roads you drive on should be a little more in depth. We have a 4WD and it was still difficult for us to get to the house. Also there is no way you could get more than one car in the driveway. Just think people need a fair warning on the difficulty of reaching the house.

Cute cabin way up the mountain

Overall, we had a great time. The cabin is beautiful. The mountain views are amazing. It is way, way up a long and sometimes steep gravel road, so you need to be comfortable with that. Only a couple complaints -- the gas fireplace is scary and a real pain to use -- we barely used it. The jets in the hot tub are. The water pressure is not great. And the showers are small. Other than that, it was great.

A little disappointed

I only can give 2 stars. The showers looked to have mildew in the grout. I found a bowl of uneaten cereal in my sons room. It was in a drawer. The grill was so full of grease we did not even use it. Not sure who is taking care of the property but those things should not be an issue. The location was beautiful. Weather was perfect. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but the cleanliness was an issue.

Great Cabin

The only issue was the cleanliness. The bed covers were stained and dirty and the floors were never vacuumed. My son was picking up popcorn and jelly beans... I would also recommend some electrical changes in the master suite..there is a floor plug too close to the tub and another outlet right behind the faucet. And while we are at it clean or change the shower heads. Other than that it was a great location, view and overall well built.
