We had a great time at Above It All! As Floridians looking for a change, this was the perfect, quite, scenic spot. They had everything we needed to stay entertained, warm and local. Loved the wildlife, amazing views, and location.

great place to stay! rating 4/5 as there could have been more blankets and kitchen towels; it was obvious the place had just been cleaned but there were still long hairs from the previous guests in the shower and a quarter of paper towel left in the kitchen. great location and beautiful house with a pond nearby. the host was easy to work with and had prompt communication when needed.

“Above It All” Cabin – Truly Lives Up to Its Name!Our family had the most amazing weekend getaway at Above It All! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully planned. The cabin was spotless and beautifully maintained, with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home.The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need, making meals a breeze. We spent hours laughing and playing pool, and the hot tub offered a perfect spot to relax while taking in the breathtaking view of Grandfather Mountain and the Seven Devils lakes. Every space, from the comfortable bedrooms to the spacious living area, was designed with relaxation and family time in mind.You can tell the owners have gone above and beyond to make sure guests have an unforgettable stay. We can’t wait to come back, this truly is a mountain retreat above it all!

Very clean and accommodating for all of us. Enjoyed playing pool and relaxing on the decks. We had breakfast out on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful view. Can’t wait till we can get away again. We will definitely stay here again.

Great house; all that you need

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was great to be able to take our dog Tess. We so appreciate that! The house is really nice. Plenty of space. We enjoyed having no TV upstairs to just sit and chill, drink coffee, etc. (There are plenty of TVs throughout the house and the view from the livingroom/deck is incredible. )We loved having a firepit too. Although, we will say, just be careful with yourself or kids while enjoying; the house is built on the side of a mountain! Overall no complaints. Would definitely stay again. PS-Dont sweat the review about the floors. They are hardwood and worn but is that really that big of a deal? We didn't think so. And the fireplace...No problem lighting for any competent. The "gas smell" wasn't anything I've never experienced before with any other propane fireplace.

Nice property however needs some improvements

This property is in a great location however be aware that cell service is almost non existent. The property looked like it was in great condition however there were still dishes in the dishwasher, remotes to TVs were not with correct TVs, heater downstairs did not seemTo work.. The internet went down and would not come back online and then an alarm went off that would not stop so we had need up leaving. Fosco rentals however was very responsive and did find us a secondary place to stay the next evening which I though was even in a better location. Hopefully they fix some of these issues as the property looked very nice. I would at a minimum suggest though a landline since with no internet and no cell service via Verizon was possible.

Not as advertised

False advertising! The main floor fireplace didn’t work, the downstairs had no heat and that fireplace wreaked of gas. The floors needed sanding 10 years ago. The house is not at all maintained. The master tv didnt work. Christmas decor was still up in Feb even though I requested them to come down beforehand. The views were beautiful and location was great. Wouldn’t return. The house could be great with proper maintenance

I would like to start with wow what a beautiful view, the location and accessibility of all the surrounding attractions was exceptional. Layout of the home was wonderful for a family to enjoy each other company. Now that being said, we had disappointments in the qualifying and upkeep of the home. To start, the flooring on the main floor looks nothing like the pictures, it is rundown. One of the sofas on the main floor is so rundown that repair is done with the piece of tape. The outdoor decks are full of mold and urgently need pressure cleaning. The gas grill is almost unusable. Handles in one of the bedroom dressers were broken. The washing machine had wet towels left inside causing moldy odors. The balance of the heating was impossible to control. We suggest that these items be addressed before renting to next person

Love the view!

We stay in 7-D frequently- this was our most favorite stay! Amazing views! Good space for family in the house. Great gathering spaces for playing games, eating together and watching football. Fun was had by all!

college graduation

Celebrating my daughter's graduation along with several family members from all around the state. We loved the large areas to visit and catch up. The deck was a hit with beautiful views. Very pleased with the complete kitchen included everything we needed to cook with. Plenty of room. We were a little disappointed in the fire pit area. The top of a tree had fallen across part of the seating and the area was grown up around it. I did call upon arriving Thursday to ask about getting a weedeater . A man showed up Saturday and confirmed it needed mowing. We did start a fire but family not comfortable with sitting in the overgrown area. Overall everyone was delighted with the home and the experience.
