  • The Granary at Oriel Farm is a stunning apartment in the Cotswolds which sleeps four guests, in two characterful bedrooms, with a family bathroom. Oak beams are featured throughout the property, giving a nod to the 200 year old history of the beautiful Grade II listed apartment. The morning sun floods in through the skylights, making the spacious open plan living area the perfect place to spend a lazy morning. The whimsical garden is laid to lawn with wildflowers and a bistro dining set, making it the ideal setting for your four-legged friend to explore!

    This two bedroom apartment in Shenington is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and quaint towns. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

    The Finer Details
    The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)
    - Bed linen and towels are provided
    - Off street parking is available for up to 2 cars
    -1 highchair is available on request. Travel cots are not provided, so guests will need to bring these with them
    - 2 dogs are welcome for an additional £40 per booking per dog. For pet rules, please visit our FAQs
    - Free WiFi
    - Mobile phone reception is generally poor, so WiFi calling is recommended
    - Smart TV with Netflix (guests to use their own login details)
    - The garden is enclosed with a right of way for the neighbouring property
    - Charcoal BBQ, April to October only (guests are responsible for providing charcoal and cleaning BBQ after use)
    - Oil fired central heating system
    - Starter supply of wood provided for the wood burning stove
    - Please note this is a period property with character features including low beams and sloped ceilings
    - Please note there are display hayloft stairs in the garden which are not to be used and children should be supervised in this area
    - The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could
    be at risk
    - No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

This was the perfect accommodation for our break in the Cotswolds. Enjoyed by all including our dogs. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday home, the Garden was so tranquil.

Fabulous bolthole for a weekend away

What a fabulous place for a weekend away. The property had everything we needed and the owner had added some lovely small touches such as a vase of daffodils and bowl of fruit. The pint of milk in the fridge was very much appreciated as well. The beds were especially comfortable and we slept very well.

Comfort in a great location

We had a lovely stay at The Granary. The location was very quiet with plenty of walks on the doorstep. The Granary was spacious and comfortable. Use of the garden was great for our puppy. We would recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful relaxing Cotswolds retreat.

We had a very enjoyable weeks stay at The Granary. The presentation of the property was stylish, with lovely added touches like fresh roses in living area & bedrooms. The beds were comfortable & good quality’s bed linen & towels provided. We felt very comfortable & relaxed and would highly recommend it.

Fantastic stay in a gorgeous cozy apartment

Stayed for 4 nights between Christmas and New Year and the apartment was the perfect place to stay. So cosy yet spacious (plenty of room for a family of 4 and a dog!) Very well equipped with everything you need. Lovely location in a quiet scenic village and village pub across the Green serving great food. Visited Broadway and Bourton on the Water, all within approx 30 mins drive. Highly recommend and would love to stay again!

5 day stay at Oriel Farm

First time visiting the Cotswolds, Shenington is a lovely quiet little village with lovely walks for the dog and a village pub. Great central area to visit the Cotswolds. Our accommodation was everything we wanted, comfortable, clean, great little kitchen with everything you need to cook which we used during our stay. A private outside garden to sit in on a warm evening. We will definitely be returning to The Granary.

5 day stay at Oriel Farm

First time visiting the Cotswolds, Shenington is a lovely quiet little village with lovely walks for the dog and a village pub. Great central area to visit the Cotswolds. Relaxing and warm get away

Overall this is a lovely property in a great location. We wanted a quiet stay in a warm and inviting property and this certainly fulfilled the brief! We loved the log fire. If we had gone at a later date I’m sure we would have appreciated the large garden. A few small touches would make it more welcoming eg there was little or no hand soap in the bathroom but such small things didn’t spoil our stay.

Highly Recommend!

I had an amazing week's stay at this beautiful property with a friend. We wanted a place where we could relax, cook nice food, and go round the lovely Cotswold towns and villages. The Granary was the perfect place for this. Our stay was extremely comfortable, and the property itself is as great if not better than in the pictures advertised. It is really well located for going around the Cotswolds, with Burton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Broadway all within 30-40 minute drives. We also very much enjoyed the local pub (The Bell) and the gliding club (a 15 minute walk down the road) which has a fantastic outdoor bar (great for summer). The wifi at the property was also great! I would highly recommend this property!

Perfect for a relaxing get away.

The apartment was beautiful, clean and comfortable in a lovely peaceful village. Everything we needed was included and more. Having the log burner was amazing for our January stay and made a perfect cosy night in after exploring the stunning area all day. Have to mention the nice big towels! Always a bonus. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Thank you

Really cosy, much bigger than it looks, gorgeous walks right for the door

We'd definitely come back. A great apartment in a beautiful barn. Really quiet location in a pretty village with gorgeous walks straight from the door - we only took the car out twice. The apartment is very cosy and warm, beds are very comfortable with lovely linen. Everything has been very well thought through. Village farm shop and a village store nearby great for provisions. Dog towels a generous bonus! Thank you!

Peaceful and private with room for improvement

Oriel Barn provided quite comfortable and open plan accommodation in a very peaceful village setting. It was well furnished apart from the sofa, which had seen better days and needed replacing. The kitchen was was adequately equipped for self catering. There were odd items missing however, such as a baking tray for the oven and no kitchen foil, plus no black pepper in the pepper grinder, which are basic essentials. There was a large garden which was private and sunny, although a work in progress. Overall we thought it was a very pleasant place to spend a week. It was a convenient location for exploring the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire.

Comfortable and cozy

Honestly, wished we had more time to explore the surrounding areas as the walking trailslook so good!The property is generally well equipped (for humans and dogs!), and is perfect for a cold evening - especially the log burner. The garden is spacious if you have a dog so do bring a ball for fetch. The single beds are comfortable enough but the mattress keeps tipping us off haha Can’t fault it really. Would recommend a bigger sign for the property though but Janet was very helpful in helping us find the cottage. :) I’d say definitely arrive before dark when you first check in otherwise it may be challenging. Definitely a good area to stay in for Cotswold visits.

Absolutely loved it...would love to visit again!

From the minute we walked in the door, this place was special...I had booked it and my partner had no clue so I took a video of my first walk around the place which shows him standing by the dining table looking around with his mouth open...the space...the skylights...the anticipation of a wonderful break! Clean, spacious, well equipped, quiet, cosy...all the right adjectives were perfect (except for the shower head which definitely had seen better days...)! Locally unfortunately The Bell pub was only open from Wednesday evening - appreciate this is a sign of the times though - but was friendly and well worth it on the night we did visit. Wykham Park Farm Shop was absolutely amazing and, for someone who loves cooking, was perfect for buying food to cook in The Granary, plus a base for breakfast at the start of wonderful days in the surrounding countryside. It was lovely to have something so spacious, self-contained and remote and, even without dogs or children, the garden was a very welcome area to chill til the sun went down. Am hoping to book again later in the year.

Lovely stay, in a very pretty village. The accommodation is very nice for 4 people. An issue that needed attention was dealt with very promptly. Would not hesitate to stay again. A great place to book.
