If I can save you from our experience, writing this is worth it!
I don't normally write reviews, let alone negative ones, but if I can save someone from experiencing this place, it's worth it. The pictures definitely don't match the listing. When we arrived, we were greeted outside the property by approximately 20 different neighborhood dogs that not only barked loudly then, but continued throughout the entire night. The bed was filthy. Not only did the sheets have bad stains, but also the bed and frame itself. There were also several curly black hairs on and in the sheets as well. The rooms in this property are upstairs and there is no air conditioning (which is listed...Our fault for not noticing). It was really hot and humid, so you need to open the window to sleep, which greatly amplifies all the neighborhood dogs. The bed itself was the absolute loudest bed I've ever seen. Any movement whatsoever creates incredibly loud creaking, so if your partner is a light sleeper beware. When my wife went to use the shared bathroom to take a shower after a long day of travel, another guest walked in on her as she was unable to lock the door. My wife is usually very tolerant of less than ideal things, but was very upset with this and the absolute filth in the bathroom. She thought it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. She didn't even dare shower without her shoes on. Again the bathroom had lots of curly black hairs and dead bugs throughout. The worst thing for us personally was that the property has multiple cats. We both are very allergic. This was ultimately the final step for us leaving the property. This was not listed in the listing, but we accept partial responsibility for not asking ahead of time. When brought to the owners attention the next morning that we could not finish our stay there due to the allergy, he said the cats never go upstairs. We were shocked that he said this as the cats were climbing on our bed and luggage as he was showing us the bedroom. He even grabbed one off my bag before he went downstairs. We politely asked for a refund based on our allergies of the remaining days (without complaining about any of the uncleanliness, dogs etc), and he became VERY defensive and extremely rude. Prior to having an issue, he appeared to be nice and accommodating. We travel the world and have had lots of varied accommodation experiences. In over 100 countries, this was by far the worst place and a huge disappoinment. I hope you look elsewhere to enjoy your incredible island stay. We have pictures
