"It’s always a joy staying in the North West Castle. The rooms are really big and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. The only downside was that during the heatwave, the room had become quite warm."

"Everything great, except that when we booked we informed you that my wife had a breathing problem and used oxygen, and also asked whether you had a lift, to which the answer was yes. On arrival we were given a room on the side without a lift, so my wife was obliged to struggle up and down the stairs. On the side where there was a lift, the sitting room and restaurants required no use of stairs. Obviously you decided to ignore our problem for some other convenience of the hotel management. "

"It’s an old property- if you love quirky you’ll love it. If you want pristine, you won’t.
Food was fantastic for dinner and breakfast. Spent time talking to the owners who are fantastic people- including the son as chef.
If character and informal brilliance are your thing go. If not don’t.

"Hotel is a bit dated and could do with a freshen up but for what you pay, I can’t complain.
The staff were fantastic, especially the young man in the restaurant on Saturday night, a credit to the hotel. Food was also first class."
