We had a great stay over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit and plenty of firewood were a plus. Views of the lake were beautiful along with the dusting of snow during our stay. The hosts were very helpful and accomodating. I would definitely stay for another visit.

Disappointing, would not return. The listed hot tub is false advertising, they've had complaints & continue to list an indoor bathtub as a hot tub. See pics of this below. This indoor bath poured black water out when my husband tried to bathe. When he tried to switch to shower it was same result. When he turned on faucet to brush teeth, a terrible sulfer smell came out that forced him to shut it off. I found there have been previous complaints about smell in these reviews. I messaged owner at 9:47pm when we tried to bathe, messaged again at 11:06pm, & then a 3rd time reached out the next morning, and heard back for the first time at 8:20am. We had no clean evening or morning water use. We left to go leaf peeping, & they dropped by at 1:30pm & said they reset the water. Owner said in message to me that this happens when the water isn't run for awhile. Zero compensation for not providing access to clean water for our stay. Lots of deflecting responsibility & not acknowledging there are repeated issues. Owner driving to house does not change what already happened to us. I would not stay again as I could not trust that the water issues have been permanently resolved, or that the listing is accurate based on continuing to list a bath as a hot tub after complaints of being misled on this. Also, the lack of any compensation for the water issue shows a lack of true responsibility. We had problems w/fireplace, as flu would not stay open during fire. Word limit reached.

We stayed here for a weekend for Travers horse race. It’s very close to park but also in a nice bit away from the heavy crowds. Lovely views. Big rooms and kitchen. Lovely stay!

Family vacation

The house was perfect for our needs and we were able to bring our dogs which was great for us. It is a quiet neighborhood in a good location for the things we wanted to do. We did have to keep our dogs on a leash in the yard which was ok but they love to play ball. The lake was nice for boat riding, (We rented a boat) but not great for swimming. Extremely weedy. Overall we had a very nice family vacation

Fantastic property that had plenty of room and wonderful outdoor space to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake. There were plenty of items in the kitchen to make it easy to prepare meals. We had a great time & recommend staying here.

Perfect for SPAC

Six of us stayed at this gem. Full service kitchen with outdoor grill. Clean with ample space for three couples and a miniature golden doodle. Plenty of room indoors and outdoors to enjoy a few days away from the daily grind. We were in town for a multi day concert at SPAC, which is a 15 minute drive from the house. Several restaurants are located close by. The house is located on a dead end road and is mere yards from the lake shore. There were five kayaks at the house (listing indicated 6). A quick message to the owners and the sixth kayak appeared in the yard. We enjoyed fishing on the lake using the kayaks. The weekend we stayed at the property was in the midst of high humidity and hot temperatures. No worries! The home has central air conditioning and outdoor deck tables with working umbrellas for shade. Highly recommend this space to larger groups who are seeing a show at SPAC and also want to spend your days on the lake.

This lovely 4-bedroom, dog and kid friendly family home with lake views and access was perfect for our family reunion. We loved cooking together in the wonderfully stocked and large kitchen with a table that fit all 8 of us. What a joy! We so appreciated the central air conditioning when it was 90 and humid. The kids' books and toys were a huge hit for our grandchildren. We are so grateful for Robin's and Bob's generosity, thoughtfulness and hospitality.

Perfect landing spot for graduation

Our son graduated from Union college (approx 35-40 min away) this past weekend and this was the perfect spot to share with family coming out from NM & OK. Its easy to get to, the perfect view with morning coffee, and a great setting for sharing photos of the weekend with each other. Staying there was easy - no overly complicated procedures or restrictions. The spring being what it is this year (cold & wet), and busy with graduation activities, we didn’t get to take advantage of the outdoor opportunities, but it was still wonderful. Thank you!

October Weekend

Nice comfortable house. We had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable with two nice outdoor seated areas. Great location too. Lots to do nearby. One thing to mention is that the listing says it sleeps 10 but the pullout sofa is on the side indoor patio which you can’t sleep in during cold weather. So some of our party had no other place to sleep but the couch which is right next to the kitchen.. Also, the hot tub is a jet powered tub in the bathroom, not a hot tub.

Patio chair were old and filthy property lists said there was a hot no hot I talked to owner she said hot tub was in main bathroom I said thats no hot tub and it’s false advertisement she said if o don’t like it.i Can leave nice I feel like a deserve a 500 dollar refund for deceiving advertising

Lakeside family retreat

Great for Family Get Together

This four bedroom with 2 screened porches and large deck overlooking the lake was perfect for us to visit with family from the area. The house has a large yard with large trees for shade, as well as a large driveway providing plenty of parking. The beds and furniture were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked for cooking, and the main bathroom very spacious with large tub and separate shower. It provided a home away from home feeling. We would definitely stay again.

Great house for families with kids - with caveats

Overall, this is a great house to stay in if looking to be in the Saratoga or Albany area with a family. I would stay here again. Two things were detractors: 1) 1 bed + 1 bath are in a converted basement. It's a bit creepy. But the real detractor is the really steep staircase down to the basement that is open into the kitchen. There was a pressure-based baby gate available, but it would fall over with a push. This meant that we had to constantly corral the very fast 2 year old out of that end of the kitchen so she didn't accidentally fall down the stairs. The baby gate needs to be secured to the wall at the top of the stairs. 2) Expect to get yelled at repeatedly by the neighbors if driving faster than a person with a broken foot can walk. We were driving 7 MPH down the short dirt road to the house and a neighbor yelled and shook his arm at us on two occassions. It was off-putting.
