"Clare was most welcoming upon our arrival. Street parking was easy. Minor issues that might be addressed would include instructions for the hob(they were not in the oven drawer) and the new coffee machine. Location was good for touring the town and area."

"Bei unserer Ankunft konnten wir das Haus zu erst ein wenig für uns erkunden, da Check In über die Schlüsselbox erfolgte. Was für uns unglaublich angenehm war. Jim, der „Verwalter“ vor Ort stellte sich später kurz vor. Sehr diskret, nicht aufdringlich und sehr freundlich. "This well appointed immaculate home provided all the comforts of home for our group of golfers from the USA. The beds were SO comfortable and the separate bathrooms for each bedroom were a real bonus. The property is tucked away in the beautiful, quiet West Ireland countryside and yet is only a five minute drive from the town center. "Beautiful house, very well equipped in a lovely, quiet spot convenient for Claremorris and the airport. Small herd of alpacas in the field beside the house are a delight. John and Sarah were happy to help with anything we needed and were very kind and accommodating when a storm disrupted our travel plans. Would highly recommend."

"This peaceful cottage is in a great location if you want to get away from it all. Finding it may have been easier if the instructions were in English rather than German. Easy access to Westport and Newport if you need to shop. The cottage itself was not the warmest place we have ever stayed and could do with a little tlc but generally comfortable . The inspiring views of Croagh Patrick were largely blocked by an overgrown hedge. However we enjoyed our stay very much."

"Fantastisk beliggenhed med den smukkeste udsigt. Mulighed for mange gode ture - til fods eller i bil - fra stedet. Lejligheden var kold og uden radiator i spise-opholds-stuen (der var radiatorer i de andre rum). Vi savnede en ansat på stedet til at svare på spm. Fx da der ikke var varmt vand eller da vi ikke kunne få badet på 1. sal til at virke. Eller om de havde en mobil radiator til spiseområdet ;)"

"It is a really good house for a group of up to 10 people. It's three minutes from Westport by car and easily walkable too. The house overall was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The beds were really good quality and comfortable too. The only thing I would suggest is it would be great to have a few additional en suites but it worked well as it was for our group. We all agreed that we would happily rebook The Rocks were we to return to Westport again."

"Ireland itself and especially this residence gave us way more than we expected. we rent this house for 7 persons and stayed 10 days. In fact it felt more like 3 weeks. You instantly feel home - there is a big difference if the residence is owner used or just commercially used for tourists."

"I was initially rather intimidated by the antique perfection as shown on the website photos and wondered if my rambunctious family would leave it intact but very pleasantly surprised to find the house well worn and quirky . It reminded me of staying in a friends home - there was nothing to remind us that it was a rental -family possessions and photos - books and objects all trustingly left around which gave the house a warm and very haopy feel. Very comfortable beds with good linens and pillows...

"We stayed on a beautiful estate surrounded by horses grazing on the land and their very own donkey, Jack Derby. If you call to Jack, he will come to the fence. He lets you pet him, and he expects carrots in return. John and Finola are gracious hosts, and it was nice to greet them every day. There have a beautiful garden that they lovingly care for, and many of the flowers bloomed during our 11-night stay. We enjoyed taking daily walks on the property, some of which were around 9 PM. The sun sets...

"Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here. We will definately return to stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, that is for sure! Derek Hanley, and family Dublin."
