A bad beginning

We were given incorrect coordinates by either VBRO or Vacasa. We didn’t arrive until it was dark.Fortunately a worker living on the property helped us and learned that we were booked at another property managed by Vacasa. We were planning to sleep in our car.Once we found the correct location, it was lovely.

Good stay / needs Mngr Communication

The Good: Nice Place, fantastic view, good A/C, easy access. Improvement needed: no response from Property Mngr after many attempts with contact info provided. Kids accidentally locked bathroom doorknob from the inside on first day we arrived. I called/emailed several times but no response so I was lucky to find a tool from a neighbor to unlock it. Only other change I recommend is replacing cooking pans as they are warped and don't sit flat on cooktop (uneven heating). SUMMARY: Overall I liked it and would stay again but would get in touch with them ahead of time to verify how to connect if needed.

Breathtaking view and incredible place to stay in costa rica!!

This VRBO is absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Costa Rica and staying in the Dominical area. The house was absolutely spotless, very private and not too far off the main road so we could get to places easily. The view was beyond what words could describe. You could see so many animals and creatures from this deck and hear the ocean roaring in the background. This place is in a gated community so it is safe and secure. This place had the essentials of what we needed and also is super close to a grocery store. When I come back to costa rica, I will be staying here again! Vacasa group is amazing!!

Stairway lights not working and no railing for the stairs ,doorknob came out and no communication by management, Villa 20. Not recommended for Seniors.

The condo was very nice for our family. It was spacious, clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The views from our balconies were perfect. We enjoyed cooking on the grill and looking at the ocean balcony while eating. I got a little nervous driving up the steep driveway but, after spending a little time in Costa Rica, I realized that is just the way it is everywhere. Lots of steep roads and driveways. We really enjoyed our stay at this property and would totally do it again!

Wonderful and comfortable stay

This is our second time staying at Canto del Mar and our third trip to Costa Rica and this was the best house we've stayed in. Th furniture and amenities were excellent. The property manager was responsive and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was especially well equipped. The place is secure and the views are gorgeous. The only issue we had were tiny bugs in the kitchen but this is to be expected in a tropical place. I recommend this house without hesitation.

Dominical's Finest!

Great property, great location. Enjoy the spirit of Costa Rica in this Pura Vida inspired property. This property was spacious and well furnished, it has everything you need and nothing you don't! You'll love it as much as we did.

Beautiful house

Beautiful property. Very modern and clean. Location was more remote than what we were looking for. We ended up leaving two days early to find a place closer to Quepos with a pool for our 5 year old.

Can't beat the view!

We arrived about 1/2 hour early. The cleaners were still working but they let us hang out on the deck and take in the amazing view of the beach and the ocean. The condo was amazing. Very clean and the view from every room was spectacular. The monkeys came through as we drank our coffe on the deck. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful 😍

This place was clean, accommodating, and affordable. Spent most the time outside on the balcony with coffee in the morning watching the waves and looking at the birds, iguanas, and other wildlife. Very nice little town about 3km away that has everything you need. Sunsets were amazing as well. Would not hesitate booking again

Great views, nice condo

Nice place for a 'place to land'. Everything was clean and the kitchen had service for 4. Unfortunately, the water was turned off in the 1/2 bath sink and there was no hot water in the 2nd bathroom shower. Other than that, the condo was great.

Lovely quiet location in Dominicalito

We just stayed at this property in August 2017. It is located in a private community overlooking the ocean. The home is comfortable with a full kitchen, dining and living spaces and 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. We loved being able to open the sliding glass doors to the patio and listen to the rain, ocean and wildlife. We had breakfast out there every morning and most enjoyed it. You can see large iguanas and monkeys in the tree canopy surrounding the property. The house was fairly clean overall. We had a problem with the upstairs A/C not shutting off and completely freezing us out. We let the manager know about it but it took over a day for them to address it. The drain in the one tub was also backing up during showers, which didn't get fixed before we checked out. Otherwise, this rental was very enjoyable and quiet. Just an FYI - the main drive up to house was surprisingly steep. Our supposed "AWD" rental car was not up to the task without unloading people to lighten the load. Just be sure your rental car has a functional AWD and/or decent power to get up the road. This is true for any property in this area on the East side of the highway.
