Best view in Dominical!!!

Haus was the best place we’ve ever stayed in Costa Rica. Views were amazing, Haus was very clean and as advertised. Pool was awesome. Recommendation should be to have 4 wheel drive just for the driveway. It is very steep but not a problem. We will be back.

Incredible View!

This property has unparalleled panoramic view. We felt very safe in this location, and the check-in/check-out process was a breeze. The driveway is very vey steep. Shuttles and regular cars were unable to drive up the driveway so we had to walk luggage up from the base. The house itself is immaculate, and the overall property is exceptionally well-maintained. However, a notable challenge surfaced during our stay— the absence of air conditioning in the main living area. While we understand that it is customary in Costa Rica to provide air conditioning solely in bedrooms, the all-encompassing glass doors in the living space created an uncomfortably hot environment, almost reaching unbearable levels. Although the space cooled slightly when the doors were opened, we found it necessary to close them when away from the property. Unfortunately, upon our return, the living area would become sweltering. Renting a house over a hotel often promises the luxury of a kitchen and more room to relax. Regrettably, due to the excessive heat in the main living area, we were unable to fully enjoy these amenities. It also meant that we could not sleep in the primary bedroom because we could not leave bedroom doors open. The temperature issue was not adequately addressed in the property listing, significantly affecting our ability to make the most of the home's offerings. Nonetheless, we awarded the property four stars, acknowledging its breathtaking view and commendable cleanliness.

Great Place, Some Downsides

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The views are gorgeous and the house is modern and well equipped. However, for the price, we thought the customer service was a bit lacking. 1) We were required to communicate using the Vrbo app rather than WhatsApp or a local phone number for “safety reasons”. This forces you to download the app and rely on data and is also risky in a country where you can lose data service easily. 2) As other reviews have mentioned, the main living area has no AC. We stayed here at the start of CR summer and it got extremely hot, so much so that we were unable to stay in the space for more than 20-30 minutes without dripping sweat. This is a shame because the main living area is so beautiful and cannot be enjoyed. There are no shades to protect the room from the sun during the day and only one tiny fan was provided. I reached out to the manager asking if it was possible to get one or two more fans to make the space bearable. The response I received was merely that the house was designed with big windows and open doors to take advantage of the ocean breeze (we kept all doors open when we were in the house and spent most of the time in the outside space). No attempt at all was made to make the situation better, nor any sympathy was offered. 3) The official check in and check out times (4:00 pm and 9:00 am) are a bit on the late and early side. When I asked, we were told we could arrive early but could not check out one hour later.

Nice Villa, Great Views

Our group of 3 stayed in this villa while in the area on business. We didn't spend a lot of time at the villa but did have a chance to spend some time at the pool and outside enjoying the incredible views. The property is as advertised. The concierge, Jerome, was very responsive. We didn't book excursions & we know the area well so we didn't need to reach out to Jerome very much but I have no doubt he would have provided excellent service if we needed it. Overall this was a great property, I would stay here again.

Incredible Views!

Just being in the house was a vacation. Beautiful views all around. So peaceful. Fabulous outdoor spaces. Easy walk to beach and to the Pozo Azul Waterfall. Not as easy walking back with very steep inclines, but totally worth it. A/C only in bedrooms and main area of house gets very hot. It was the last place we stayed in Costa Rica with my adult kids and we all agreed it was the best. Not as crowded as a lot of other areas. Just perfect. Pool was a very nice plus.

This property is amazing! Somehow the views are even better than the photos - you won't want to leave! Extremely clean, great bathrooms and water pressure. The kitchen was stocked with an impressive amount of cookware. The beach below is the perfect location for surfing lessons. Thank you to our host, Gregoire, for your thorough instructions and prompt responses. We booked a night jungle tour through an excursion contact he provided and had an incredible time!

Great holiday villa

Great place to rent. Warning about steepness of drive. We struggled to get up it and had to manoeuvre to get down as had a large vehicle. The only thing that could be improved would be to swop out the wine fridge for a dishwasher as most people would make far greater use of it.

Amazing Views

This property was as advertised ! The views are amazing and the property was clean, comfortable and in great shape. We were able to see several howler monkey's playing in the trees not far away. The pool is a great plus after a warm day. Very good location for access to Domical and Uvita and surrounding areas. The property manager was quick to respond to all our questions and needs, I would recommend this property , do not hesitate if you are on the fence about it. A few notes that are not deal breakers but worth noting. This is about a 3 /3.5 hour drive from the airport . There is no A/C in the upstairs kitchen and living area. It opens up with sliding screen doors. Not a problem overall but it is warm and humid if you will be cooking inside. The bedrooms are fully air conditioned. We were a family of 7 and there were only 2 towels and 2 wash clothes provided in the downstairs bathrooms. And yes we understand and totally re-used them and conserved. Just note you will not get clean towels every other day. This was the only time management responded poorly. The listing does say a 4 wheel drive vehicle is not needed but I highly recommend one. The driveway is very, very steep. Also it would help as you venture around the area. You can walk to the beach but as noted before a very steep walk up the drive. Our group- the younger ones walked and the older ones drove. Overall no problems and great stay!

Beautiful home

This was a fantastic home in a gorgeous location. We loved sitting on the deck listening to the sound of the waves. We did some cooking (breakfast only) and treated ourselves to the chef service one night, which was terrific. The home is walking distance (10 minutes) to the beach though it’s a very steep hill. I’d recommend wearing real shoes, not flip flops to get there! There are some very good restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed La Parcela. The property manager was quick to answer any questions we had. One thing I’ll mention that potential guests should be aware of: there is no air conditioning in the kitchen/living area of the house. We did spend most of our time either outside or on outings, so it wasn’t too much of a problem, however this is something worth mentioning, especially if you plan to cook. The bedrooms did have air and that is what’s most necessary. Overall though, this was a beautiful place that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Amazing House and Experience

A 5-Star Elegant Vacation Home in Every Way!

If you are looking for a first class, elegant, modern home with endless views and the sound of waves crashing on the shore, this is it. We spent a week here and would have loved to extend our stay; quite possibly forever! This new home is beautifully designed and takes advantage of the ocean view and lush jungle surrounding the house. Floor to ceiling, sliding glass doors open up to the wrap around deck and infinity pool where we spent morning, noon and night. The pictures hardly do it justice. We were in and out of the pool multiple times a day, taking in the Pacific Ocean views. The privacy of the three bedrooms, each with a built in desk, and ensuite, made it easy for our family to work remotely and take virtual classes. Very few homes in Costa Rica offer this design. We loved the finishes and palette. It's sleek but natural with stone, wood, quartz, and glass throughout. Very well appointed with cookware as well. We walked to the beach most days. It's a good workout but worth the trip. There are numerous restaurants a short drive away. The community felt safe with a gate and guard and the roads were paved - a rare treat in Costa Rica. The Property Manager was always helpful. Every question was answered quickly and thoughtfully. They were even able to find us a second place to stay when we decided to extend our trip. They'll also provide you with a very detailed house guide that covers every aspect of the house along with tips to enjoy the areas. A 5-Star Elegant Vacation Home we would love to visit again.

Million dollar view

This house was absolutely perfect for our family of 5. Easy self check in and check out. The beds and pillows were so incredibly comfortable, the furniture was perfect to lounge around in and family communication with the property manager. One thing I would recommend to the awesome property management team is more plastic cups and plates. The location of the property was great, 10 mins to Domical or Uvita and it is set in a little gated community that was only a stones throw to the quiet beach of Domincalita or 10-15 min walk, oh and a local water fall ! We had a vehicle so we only attempted the walk up and down the hills once. For exercise I walked the hills almost every day, trying to spot the beautiful birds ( lots of toucans and monkeys) . Overall a perfect week in Domincal. Thank you!!
