Great BHI home

Great home with beautiful ocean view off top deck. Home very clean, beautifully furnished, great communication with Tyler property manager. Loved staying here and can't wait to go back! Great property.

Brother’s 80th birthday on Bald Head Island

Perfect for our needs. Close to other siblings rentals and birthday party site. Plenty of room for together time as well as privacy. Property neat and clean with nice amenities

Dream Come True

Thank you for an amazing trip! This is by far the best place we have ever visited. We are already planning our return trip to Sea La Vie. And a big shout out to Tyler for such great communication and kindness. This helped make our first trip to Bald Head Island worry free and relaxing!

Absolutely Perfect in Every Way

This was a fabulous rental for me, my husband, our twin 5 year olds, and my in-laws. We traveled through a blizzard to get to the island and although we were delayed by a day, our communication with Barbara was so helpful and pleasant. Even while booking flights/ trams I had multiple conversations with Barbara and she was so helpful to make sure I had the timing right to arrive and depart the island. The location is to die for: looking out over the ocean and a beautiful boardwalk to the beach (South beach). Multiple mornings we saw a pod of dolphins frolicking and feeding right from the boardwalk! Even pelicans swooping and feeding alongside them. Such a cool experience for my girls who had never seen the ocean before to see dolphins. The house itself was very well appointed with beach towels, beach chairs and sand toys, 2 warm and private outdoor showers, an awesome 6 seater golf cart, and all the kitchen items you could want. There was even a serving tray and basket that we used to have a beach picnic one day. So fun! We decided to use the Bald Head Island Market delivery service to have our food shopped for and delivered for our arrival and I couldn't recommend this more. They purchased all the items including beverages and not only did they deliver them to the house for our arrival, but they stocked them in the fridge and displayed them on the counter which was a welcoming sight walking in after our travel delay. A little spendy but worth it for a big vacation to be able to focus on spending time with each other instead of shopping. The sleeping rooms were perfect including the 3rd floor "kids room" with a fun loft and multiple beds. The upstairs primary bedroom has a balcony overlooking the ocean and was a fun location for sunset happy hours. We got a guest membership at the BHI Club and took full advantage of the restaurants, pools, and golf. My husband had a blast on the course with resident alligators sunning themselves at almost every hole. The club had a splashpad that was undergoing repairs on our first day and took a few days to fully heat up so we spent most of our swimming in the ocean right outside our front door. Overall you will absolutely love the location, the house itself, and the island as a whole. If you're on the fence, just book it, its worth it! We made some really fun memories here and know that you will too.

Beautiful location and easy property!

Wonderful location. Ocean view on the beach. Great for walking down for fishing and sunsets. House was a perfect size for my family. Kitchen off the living room was convenient for Christmas family time. Great space and the hosts were awesome. Barbara and Tyler are aces. Highly recommend will be staying with you all again soon!

Very clean and great location

Beautifully decorated and well stocked kitchen. Only issue is no 3rd shower or bath so guests on 3rd floor have to come down. It wasn’t bad but just had to plan accordingly. Could use some throw blankets and extras for the bedrooms. Property manager was very responsive. Bikes would have been nice at this price point; something to consider. We enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous home on the beach

We loved this home at Flora's Bluff. It is right on South Beach which makes access to the ocean very convenient. Barbara, (the property manager) was very responsive to all our questions. The 6 person golf cart was in great shape (brand new I think) and reliably carted our family around the island. The house was immaculately clean and very up to date. The kitchen had everything we needed. The Master bedroom has a wonderful porch looking out over the ocean. The second double bedroom has its own bathroom as well. And, the third floor loft is surprisingly roomy with many beds to sleep on. our family of 4 adults and 4 kids were accommodated us perfectly. !/2 bath on the main floor and in the loft and two full baths on the second floor. Outdoor shower with hot and cold water was great for washing off the beach. Will definitely go back.

Great House, perfect location, idyllic island

The house has been remodeled and is in perfect condition. Plenty of space for 2 families (you could do the 2 main bedrooms for 2 couples, and put upto 4 kids in the upstairs bedroom). Easy walk to the beach. New golf cart. Plenty of chairs and toys for the kids provided. Views of the ocean from the master and upstairs kids room, views of the dunes from all around the lower floor. It''s a great spot. Barbara is as good a vrbo host as you'll ever deal with. If you have a problem, she will make it right.

Sea Le Vie

Sea Le Vie is located in Flora's Bluff with great ocean views and direct ocean access. We had a wonderful time especially our 2 granddaughters. Our host, Barbara was very helpful checking in with us during the stay to see if there was anything see could do to make our stay more enjoyable.

Lovely property in great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea La Vie! The interior of the home is beautiful and cozy. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals in. There are plenty of beach chairs and beach toys in the shed, along with the great 6 seater golf cart. The proximity to the beach was ideal and great for watching the sunset on the walkway benches. The property manager was super responsive and helpful. We hope to stay here again on future trips to Bald Head.

Best oceanfront rental for the price on the market / IMMACULATE

We have been coming to Bald Head for many years. This rental was one of our favorites and we will certainly be returning. The house and furnishings are great and the beds were very comfortable. We booked initially with some apprehension based on past reviews. We did not find any of the issues past renters discussed. The house was clean, the property manager was great to work with and the golf cart was in great condition and appeared to be new. The bathrooms have just been redone and are great. We saw no plumbing issues, water stains or mildew. The house shows exactly as the pictures now represent. Love the bright colors and found the home to be well equipped. Would highly recommend this property and guarantee we will be returning in the fall.

Love Sea La Vie!

Great little vacation in a really nice home. New bathrooms and new furnishings everywhere. Everything was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had a great time and the new blue golf cart shuttled us around the island in style. This was our best stay yet on beautiful Bald Head and we are already making summer plans to come back to Sea La Vie!

Property has issues!

We were so excited to stay at this property for our first trip to Bald Head Island. Unfortunately the pictures and description of the house didn't match from when we booked. The third floor was completely different. This is really upsetting when you have young kids who are expecting cool floating beds and such. There was also a non working locked bathroom. We found the third floor cleaning to be terrible as well. Piles of food and water bottles and masks were shoved under the beds. The cleaning company came back to clean the next day, but refused to help us until one kind lady agreed to sweep under the beds. On the main floor there is a large mildew stain on the ceiling that seemed to grow as we stayed there and we quickly realized this was from the leaking master bath shower. Our kitchen refigerator leaked onto the floor as well. Finally- the golf cart that comes with the house is terrible. The owners need to provide a safe, reliable golf cart. Our tire blew on day 1, we had to hold onto the (taped together!!) roof, and the brakes were faulty as well. We had a bright spot from our experience and that is the property manager, Barabra. She is fantastic and I would happily rent a house that she manages again. She helped us with every concern and complaint. She made us feel heard and valued and tried to make the best of a rough start to our trip. Finally, she help us get some money refunded to us due to the issue with the home. Thank you to Barbara for her care and compassion.

Great Week at Sea La Vie!

We had an excellent stay at Sea La Vie. The house was very well appointed, clean, and had all the creature comforts of home (good washer/dryer, keurig coffee maker, amazing televisions with many streaming services, beautiful shower in the master). There was not anything we lacked for during our stay. Barbara was an amazing property manager - greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful week. We plan to rent future properties managed by Barbara, and hope to return to Sea La Vie in the future!

Run Away!

I hope this review saves someone else the headache that this house and property manager caused us. Please save yourself the nightmare and go elsewhere. Sadly, the house is in a great location. It could be so wonderful, but the manager of the home is so dishonest and so rude, it will never be worth renting. First, the photos in the listing are completely different than the actual home. The manager openly told us that they were from 2 years ago before the hurricanes but it’s “not a big deal”. Well, when you have 4 small children and the “kids” room layout is completely different and has no bathroom, it is a big deal. On top of it…The house was filthy, dog chew toys everywhere, dirty sheets, there were serious plumbing issues, water stains on the ceiling, the pack and play was completely broken (we have a 5 month old) and when we asked for another she literally said we were “ruining her day”, the fridge leaked all over the floor all day and night, the golf cart brakes did not work properly (had to push with 2 feet as hard as possible to slow down) she said she’d rent us another cart, but never did so we had to rent one for the week. She finally did admit that the house was not in rentable condition and then informed us that previous renters had left. She said we could have a full refund if we left, knowing that finding another place for the week was impossible. She blamed the home owners for everything and said they were the worst owners of all her properties. I know the owners are from out of state, and I feel for them, they are being deceived. I hope they read this and can find someone else to manage this place because it could be so nice. Thankfully we had good weather and stayed outside most of the time. I hate leaving bad reviews but I couldn’t let anyone else go through what we did. Maybe they can get it turned around.

Great Stay in a great home

This property was extensively rehabbed after hurricane damage and it is beautiful! Quasi contemporary furnishings with ample bathrooms, 4 TVs including a monster in the living room and full access to pretty much every streaming service we could imagine and ample kitchen accessories. Wonderful location a very short walk out the boardwalk to the magnificent beach. Beautiful views of the ocean from the second floor porch off the master bedroom. We have already requested another week next year.
