Beautiful

Spacious well equipped property with nice garden and wonderful lake views in a quiet road. Small supermarket and restaurants in walking distance. Larger supermarkets a few minutes drive. We enjoyed swimming in the lake. (Just about walkable). Pool is small but heated. It was ideal for our group but with bedrooms on 3 different floors might not suit everyone. The owner was very helpful and very responsive to messages.

Awesome Villa and Fantastic Experience

Wow! Just spent 2 weeks at Keith’s beautiful BalatonFured Villa! Nestled perfectly just a few minutes walk up the hill from the Lake and yet just enough to provide a spectacular panoramic view of the Balaton. I’m so pleased to confirm the accuracy of the many 10/10 reviews of this spacious and meticulously cared for property. We were a family of 5, including a couple teens, and it was great that there was plenty of space for them to do their thing while we adults did ours. Whether heading to the beach at Fured or Akali to catch some sun, or maybe a trip to Udvari for some Go Kart racing, you’re only minutes away from everything. Cloudy day or just want to stay home for a rest, then take a dip in the swimming pool, grab a stick for a few rounds of billiards on the full sized pool table or maybe just put your feet up and enjoy the stunning view with a bottle of wine from any of the local vineyards that are literally walking distance from the property; including the renowned Petranyi Pince vineyard! Possibly the best review comes from my wife who loves to cook and was so pleased to find a well appointed kitchen with more pans than she could possibly use. Can’t wait to return; thanks Keith!! Cheers!

Wonderful

Beautiful place with lots and lots of extras that make it fun for a family. A large house with a few minor quirks here and there but offset by all the amazing pluses - pool, view from patio, pool table, space, area. Stay here if you can Dr Gibbs (Princeton USA)

Tolles Ferienhaus am Nordufer des Plattensees!

Sehr gut ausgestattetes, grosszügiges und sehr sauberes Ferienhaus, dass keine Wünsche offen lässt. Die Ausstattung ist ausnahmslos hochwertig und gepflegt. Lieber Keith, vielen Dank für tolle 14 Tage in Deinem Haus. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wunderbar - alle sehr nett, jederzeit wieder

Eine sehr schöne Villa mit einem genialen Pool und tollen Billiard Tisch ! Ansonsten tolle Lage. Leider das Geschirr und der Grill(wohl vom Vorgänger) nicht ganz so sauber, aber das haben wir mal als Nebensache gesehen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für Frühstück und diverse kleinigkeiten sind leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ein guter Platz am Balaton erreicht man auf einem großen Parkplatz wenn man die Straße einfach gerade runter fährt bis zum Ende (am Aldi vorbei und über die große Kreuzung), dann links die Straße entlang ca 150m rechts ist dann ein Parkplatz. Es war für uns das erste mal in Ungarn und diese Villa können wir nur weiter empfehlen! 👍

Prachtige vakantiewoning met luxe zwembad

We kwamen aan bij een zeer mooie woning en werden allervriendelijkst ontvangen door Keith. Hoewel we te vroeg waren was het geen enkel probleem, ik had dit wel even geappt met hem. Hij heeft ons uitgebreid alles laten zien en heeft daarna onze dochter en schoonzoon nog meegenomen op een rit door de omgeving om leuke plekjes te laten zien, wij waren hier te moe voor na een lange reis er naar toe. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en zeer ruim, zowel binnen als buiten. In de tuin staan fruitbomen waar we van konden plukken wat we wilden, in ons geval waren de pruimen rijp en lekker, Het zwembad was luxe met verschillende massagestralen, miste alleen wel een leuning om erin te stappen daar de traptreden best wel een grote stap vereisten en dat is voor iemand die slecht ter been is niet handig. Het huis ligt aan de buitenkant van het dorp dus is een auto wel zo handig om boodschappen te doen. Er is een kleine supermarkt op loop afstand maar doordat je de heuvel op moet is dat best zwaar. Een grote spar ligt op 5 minuten rijden en daar is van alles te verkrijgen. Zijn ook een keer met een taxi naar de boulevard gegaan om daar de boot te nemen naar Siofok en aangezien het overal betaald parkeren is was dit handiger, voor de rit betaalden we Ft 3000. Dit is omgerekend €10, kregen van de chauffeur zijn kaartje en konden hem bellen als we terug waren, prima geregeld. Verder een prima vakantie gehad met zeer warm weer waardoor we niet zoveel hebben gedaan als we wilden maar genoten van ons eigen paleisje.

Great property for a large group, or family.

We had a great time at Keith's house at Balatonfured. The house is fully furnished even has a pool table and 3 D television. It is spacious and clean and Keith was vey helpful in showing us everything about the home and nearby restaurants. The house even has a small swimming pool which the grandkids loved. Exzellent und unvergesslich

Man kann allen positiven Bewertungen glauben! Die sehr schöne Villa mit ihrem herrlichen Blick ist DER Ort für einen perfekten Urlaub. Wir waren 5 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder und ein kleiner Hund. Das Haus war dafür ideal. Die Villa ist hochwertig eingerichtet und ausgestattet. Sie wurde uns in einem äußerst sauberen Zustand überlassen. In der Küche fehlte es uns an nichts und die Kinder liebten den Pool. Wäre man nicht am Balaton, könnte man den Urlaub auch gut nur auf dem Grundstück verbringen. :-D Was uns am meisten beeindruckte war aber, dass Keith sich die Zeit genommen hatte uns die Details der Villa und sogar der Umgebung zu zeigen. Damit bekamen wir ein Gefühl, als machten wir Urlaub bei Freunden. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Back Again !

Our fourth time at Keith and Erica's villa and things just keep getting better. This time there was the addition of the games room with a great pool table to keep the family occupied, particularly when the weather decided to change on a couple of occasions, which is not too common in August. The villas standards remain very high and the cleanliness can't be faulted. Keith was again on hand to meet us on arrival and give us an update on things that have changed since our last visit. Would highly recommend this villa to anyone who wants to experience Balatonfured and the surrounding area. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants as you make your way down to the strand via different routes, which are well worth exploring. Not sure when we'll be back again as next year we plan a city break in Budapest....but of course we'll be staying at Keith's apartment.

Superb stay at luxury villa

Another superb stay at this beautiful villa overlooking the lake Balaton and within walking distance of a lovely vineyard and restaurant. The views over the lake are stunning particularly from the pool and veranda. The new full size pool table was great fun for the whole family. Looking forward to returning next summer!

Wonderful house with a beautiful view

This is a stunning house with a fantastic view, very quite and peaceful with a lovely, attentive and very helpful host. We spent an amazing week in Balatonfüred. The house was very spacious and it was very clean. The view at the Balatonlake is beautiful. The house is well-equipped, everything you need is available.We can really recommend it!

Schöne Tage bei Keith in Balatonfüred

Meine Frau, unsere 6 Freunde und ich hatten auch in diesem Sommer wieder ein paar sehr schöne Tage bei Keith in Balatofüred. Wir waren bereits das vierte Mal dort. Das Haus war in einem sehr guten Zustand, sauber und gepflegt und der Service war prima. Wir sind Fahradfahrer und haben den Balaton umrundet, war toll. Wir würen das Objekt jederzeit weiterempfehlen, es bietet viele Annehmlichkeiten und der Blick auf und über den Balaton ist spektakulär. Die Gegend am Balaton mögen wir sowieso.

Perfect place to relax

We have been there as a 3 generation family (6 adults plus one little child). The Internet description already promised a large villa but on our arrival we were impressed. Beyond the bedrooms and the large living room there is space enough for everyone to find privacy. The owner gave a detailed instruction to all the facitlities (TVs, pool, alarm, gates, etc.) and recommended nearby restaurants. Our first choice was Söptei Pince in about 10 min walking distance. You find everything you need for your stay, even a filled gas bottle for the BBQ. A small shop is there in walking distance and it's a 5 min drive to get to a big SPAR store. Also Balatonfüred center is away only less than 10 min drive. The big difference to all other vacation domicils we have been before is that you immediately feel at home as the villa is full of private things. If we ever will go to this area again we will try to stay in this villa. We can fully recommend this property without any exception.

Fantastic accommodation with fantastic views

Very high quality accommodation with everything as described in the booking details. Clean, comfortable and very well maintained. Keith and Erica are the perfect hosts and went out of their way to assist us in planning our holiday and making us comfortable once we arrived. Wireless internet quality very strong and without interruption. The villa was very well fitted out with everything a "happy camper" could possibly dream of. The hydropool was something else! Some excellent local restaurants and wineries within easy walking distance.

We'd live here all year 'round...

Keith and Erika's home was the best vacation rental that we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in some lovely properties throughout Europe and the US. The home is very clean, well laid out, and has a beautiful view across the expanse of Lake Balaton. The conveniences are modern, and there were bonuses that we weren't expecting, like the Nespresso machine. The yard is large with covered outdoor dining, grassy areas with fruit trees (that you're allowed to pick and enjoy), a lawn for badminton, the exercise hottub, and plenty of parking. The home is in the perfect location, in that the area has a rural feel, but you are so close to conveniences. It's easy to walk to a local shop for groceries, a restaurant in a vineyard, a restaurant in the woods above, and many walks for exercise. Our family of two adults and six children had a fantastic time exploring all of what Hungary has to offer - it was our first visit. We went to castle ruins, the lake for swimming, palaces, vineyards, cathedrals, museums, ferried to the other side of the lake, and drove to both Vienna and Budapest. The drive to Budapest is easy and takes about 2 1/2 hours. Keith and Erika are very gracious - they seem to have a natural gift of making you feel as though you are old time friends of theirs but they never intrude. We really had a perfect vacation, and fell in love with the Hungarians and their culture. We were thrilled with the home, and just looking at pictures of it, makes us want to return tomorrow...

Beautiful, spacious, opulent; my favourite place!

The villa comfortably holds 2 families and is in a delightful location overlooking the Balaton and only 5 mins from the nearest vineyard - some good wine tasting to be had. The addition of the training pool/jacuzzi is great, as is the covered outdoor dining and barbecue area. Love this place and am booked for next year!

amazing villa for a family

The villa is luxurious but also warm and cosy. It had all the equipment we needed and more...The kids were so happy. They had plenty to do inside the villa and in the area of the balaton lake. The swimming pool was great and the 3D TV was fantastic also. The view from the house is beautiful and Keith is great and helpfull. We are travelling quite a lot but this is by far the best villa we`ve stayed in!

Excellent place, Excellent villa

Excellent Villa - we rented it 4 adults and 5 kids and it works wonderfully. Situated with a lovely view of the area and very good restaurants nearby. Rented by the nicest people. A highly recommendable place.

The place to stay in Hungary!!!

the house is really perefct, full of anything you can desire, very clean, Keith and Erika are really wonderfull people and will get your stay a wondefull experience. You will be delighted by the place and the lake-view, you can walk in the woods or eat in wonderfull restaurants nearby. I really suggest you to saty here for your holiday!!!!

Best villa we've ever stayed in.

As other reviews have said the photos do not do this villa justice. The gardens are beautiful and it has a magnificent view of the lake. All necessary mod cons are included and many extras too. The villa was clean, the décor modern but very homely. The kitchen had everything you needed. We loved the spa pool, which is perfect for dipping in after a day out sight-seeing. We felt it was a bit too far to walk to the lake - about a 10minute drive, but lots of free parking. It is great to swim in the lake- it's sandy and shallow for a long way. Balatonfured has a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed a boat ride on the lake and watched Hungarian dancing as well as sitting in cafés watching the world go by (it's generally much cheaper to eat and drink in Hungary than at home). English is spoken in most establishments. I would highly recommend this villa.

Summer trip to Balatonfured

Thank you Keith and Erika, you made us feel so very welcome! My family had the most wonderful time at your place. The Villa is absolutely beautiful and we had access to everything we needed during our stay. The air conditioning throughout was a life saver with the extreme heat. The villa is close to the beach which we enjoyed, as well as the pool and hot tub. We loved being able to sit and have meals all together on the outside back patio,and have morning coffee on the front deck enjoying the amazing view of the lake. We went to a wonderful winery nearby with sweeping views of the lake something we will never forget. This may have been my fathers last journey back to his home country for he is not well, and the memories we have shared at your place will last with my family forever. I would highly recommend your villa to any family traveling to the lake. Thanks again. Anna and family

A return visit.

So, we have visited this wonderful place once again. The first thing that caught my eye, the villa and garden have been greatly improved since our last visit in 2009. Garden, decorated with stone terraces and seeded with lawn grass, began to look much prettier. Two parking places in the underground garage now allow keep your cars cool during hot summer days. We found new covered decking area off kitchen very pleasant and comfortable for having breakfast or lunch. The villa is still in excellent condition, very modern, clean and comfortable. All features are operable. Wi-Fi is available now. We have spent a great week in this lovely region. Since I visited this region 2 years ago, I have been aware about local sightseeing, activities, shops and etc. This allowed me to arrange holidays for my family and friends with maximum efficiency and relax. As during the previous visit, we travelled a lot along the shore of the Lake Balaton, visiting places I mentioned in my first review. Our new discovery for this year was a nice fur and leather products shop in Gyenesdias (next village from Keszthely). Thank you Keith and Erika. Would definitely return to your Earthly Paradise.
