  • Set in a quiet hamlet, within 300 yards of the iconic beauty of Lathkill Dale with its crystal clear river and lovely walks, and just 300 yards from a popular dining pub, this cottage offers a well furnished and beautifully presented holiday home with a private patio and an enclosed pet friendly walled garden (maximum 2 pets) boasting views towards Bakewell and beyond. It is set only 2 miles from the bustling market town of Bakewell,
    Many lovely walks and cycle routes from the door Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are 4 miles away, and the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath, Crich Tramway Museum, Castleton Caverns and many more attractions are within a half hour drive. Alton towers is 25 miles away and golf is available 2 miles away. Shop 2 miles, pub 300 yards.

Cosy cottage in a beautiful location

We loved staying in this cottage which met our needs perfectly. We stayed over Christmas and used this as a base to visit family. We enjoyed several walks from Over Haddon to Bakewell and Lathkill dale.

Home from home

Warm cosy cottage in an ideal location. It was like home from home and had everything for our stay. Lathkill hotel just around the corner with a warm welcome and fabulous home cooked food so would recommend a visit - but take a torch!

I can't praise this wonderful cottage enough. Pristine inside, i couldn't fault the cleanliness, the facilities, the decor, the comfort of the beds, the quality of the shower, the peacefulness of the garden. All superb.

The cottage is in a really lovely location. Cows are just a 10min walk down the road and sheep can be seen from afar. Kitchen had all the amenities to cook and we went to the nearby Chatsworth Farm shop which was a 10min drive and full of local produce.

My stay was not a holiday,it was a quick visit to attend a funeral in a nearby village and the advantage was that we could bring out two border collies and it was great that we could walk the them nearby.

Super cottage in lovely village

Ideal cosy central base for exploring the Peaks. Had everything we required and the bonus of being in a quiet, cute village, which has great views of Lathkil dale and beyond. Excellent walks from the door and well purposed for hiking with the dog.
