"The hotel was out in the countryside with excellent views over the moors. It was very clean and well cared for. Car parking was good. The room size, bed size, etc was great. One small problem - the room lighting was not very bright during the night time. The food was excellent and the staff were great. It was also a great place for walkers with great access to the countryside. I would recommend it."

"Middleham is a beautiful place to stay and to enjoy walking and a bit of wild swimming. The place oozes character. Richard III boasts age and character, so don’t stay here if you want modern. No breakfast included which we hadn’t checked, but there is a lovely tearoom but 2minutes walk away, racing stables close by so plenty of thoroughbreds trotting through the centre. I found the place delightful."

"DO NOT BOTHER ESPECIALLY IF YOU NEED A VAT RECEIPT The hotel itself was ok, it was a bit dirty in places, behind the sink pillar in the bathroom was really dirty and had clearly not been cleaned in years Where the problem lies with this hotel is that once you have left you cannot contact them as NO ONE ever answers the phone.
