"In summary - quiet, rural, friendly. Beautifully decorated, comfy and warm room part of, but separate from, the main house. Lots of well behaved dogs, chooks, guinea fowl, cats to share the stay with. Bonus was the cooked breakfast! Axedale is on the rail bike trail and Bendigo has so much to offer!"

"I can’t fault our stay at Riverbend Gardens. It began with a warm welcome from our hosts Wendy, Mark and their adorable menagerie, along with a cuppa and chocolate cake. The unit was very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Our last day started with a yummy breakfast and more bottle feeding of the lambs and we were farewelled with beautiful rose bouquets. We will definitely be back!"

"Not enough soaps or toilet paper for our stay given the amount of people we had told were staying. Also very dirty, door handles floors were not cleaned properly. Other than that good location and very secure if being pets"

"Clean and comfortable house, well presented. Great location. My dogs appreciated the dog friendly home and the big backyard. A little better heating would be great, the air conditioner heats the lounge well, but that’s the only room with heating."

"This house is an absolute gem set minutes from the heart of Bendigo. The pictures just dont do it justice...you enter the front door and are struck by a very stylist and period house. The rooms are amazing and the lounge is relaxing. We were road tripping with our small dog and the yard and deck were ample room for him to move around. Definitely will be our choice of accommodation for the greater area."

"We were disappointed the property was on a main road .. noise .. and was as old as it was. Basic is a word I would use. And the rubbish bins were full from previous guests! Not a good look. "
