Great house a short walk to the beach. Had a fantastic family beach trip with four kids and fours adults. Kitchen window provided great sunset views.

Great spot! Highly recommend!

The place was clean, close to beach access, and had plenty of space for our 4 adults and 2 children...it could easily accommodate more. We would stay here again for sure.

Just Lovely

The house was lovely. It completely accommodated friends and family- a home away from home. The furniture is a bit dated and worn, but comfortable. My family enjoyed every day that we had. We were able to walk to the beach. Restaurants and shops were very close. The kitchen had all of the dishes and utensils needed for cooking, as well as microwave, blender and toaster oven. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.

Perfect Choice

We have come to Avon every year for 10 years. Each year we stay in a different house, and are always unsure what to expect but love the adventure. This year we stayed at Four Seasons and will 100% stay here again. We have never stayed at this end of Avon, but will for sure make this our goal each year for the rest of our visits. The house was perfect for the four of us, would absolutely fit at least 6 more comfortably. Living spaces were open and bright, and the seating was cozy and welcoming. The extra spaces were a nice escape if we needed to get some work done or read a book, and the game closet was packed full! The kitchen was everything we needed, and stocked with all the utensils to make every meal. The multiple bathrooms made getting ready simple and quick. The deck was beautiful, has enough view of the ocean to be breathtaking and calming. The walk to the beach- I expected it to be SO LONG because the beach near Kinakeet is wide, but it was easy, the boardwalk to the path, to the beach was simple and quick. And everyday it was worth it. More than once. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking! Stay here! It’s worth it!

Great location

This was a great home with a true 270 degree view of water. We were a close walk to both the ocean and the sound and the location was perfect. The home was well decorated and very comfortable. We like to cook and the kitchen was well stocked with most tools to cook and bake and a wonderful table where we shared meals together. As with most homes in OBX, this home has about 20 steps to get to the front door and another 12 to get to the kitchen. Though the effort is rewarded with beautiful views of the ocean and the sound. The owner had a closet full of games and puzzles as well as lots of books. The bedrooms were comfortable and there are two and a half baths. I would go back anytime.

5-star location - house needs work to match

5 stars for both location and the overall layout of the house. Huge/open top floor with views of both the bay and ocean. Spacious bedrooms and massive car port area. 3 stars for upgrades and basic maintenance. Furniture is dated (which is reflected in the pictures). However, a gaping hole in the wall above the stove, a ripped window screen, cracked coffee maker, a porch door that won't open, squeaky windows, broken lattice and broken A/C unit platforms all seem like easy repair jobs that are incomplete.

Great house, but uncomfortable small beds

This house was really great for two families to share. The layout was really nice and it was super close to the beach. The downside of the home is that the two “queen” beds were super uncomfortable and we are quite positive they were full size beds and NOT queen. There was also zero storage space for guests in the kitchen. There were way too many dishes and cups. It would have been nice to have some pantry space for food. It was also frustrating that there was a linen package on this home but the listing didnt mention that neither did the Vacasa rep we spoke with when we booked the home.

Great House with a few minor issues.

Overall the house was not that bad and appears for the most part as the pictures would have you believe. However, it has some maintenance issues that appear to have been around for a while just have not been repaired. One of the shower heads was corroded and clearly had been that way for a while. There was a section of the eave under the roof that was missing that had several large birds living in it creating an irritation on the inside as you could hear them. Having the outdoor shower would have been great for returning from the beach however it did not work. Upon our arrival one of the two showers would not even drain. We reported it to the realty company and the drain issue was resolved on the second day of our stay. Like I said over all we enjoyed our stay and it was enough to get us through. I would have expected a more well maintained property though.

Nice place, but no beach gear

First, the good. The physical property rental was as shown in the listing. Location was good, about 300 yd walk to the water. Dinnerware was adequate. Really liked the open concept of the living area, and the layout of bedrooms on the lower level. Appliances were good, newer, and functioned properly. Linens were clean and supplied by the property owner, which was a nice offering. The views from the upper levels were fantastic, especially the sun setting over the bay. Wow. Now the bad......(suggested upgrades) A few simple updates would have really done this property justice. Bigger TV's. The bedroom TV's are tiny, not really usable. The Living room TV needs upgraded as this is a large space. Usable, but could be a suggestion for future updating. The bed mattresses were terrible, especially the master. There's only outdoor furniture on the upper deck, with no outdoor furniture on the lower covered deck, essentially making this unusable space. Lastly, the really bad..... I inquired on beach equipment provided for our trip 4 days prior to departure. Upon arriving, there was zero equipment, which left us in quite a predicament. I questioned a 2nd time on day one of arrival, and finally received an answer from the property mgr on day two, stating that no beach equipment is provided, and that they will update the listing to reflect this. So we had no beach chairs, shade, canopy, etc. I initially asked prior to departure because we would have brought ours. I expected, at a minimum, to have a few chairs to sit on. But I was wrong. Total bummer. Overall, the property was nice, and we had a great time. A few updates put this property over the top. And lastly, better response time from the property manager is a must. Had we known to bring our own gear, we would have.
