This house has us coming back for more. It’s been quite a while since we’ve been able to get away for a week of fishing and relaxing, but we were so glad to see this was available this year. The weather was not cooperative, as we arrived the day before the Nor’easter hit, and just after the super moon. Roads were closed off and on, the surf was more than rough and the winds were mighty. Though our fishing trip turned into a stay put and relax week, this house was the perfect spot to do so. Once the skies cleared, it was still flooding and gusty, but the sunset over the sound was sensational. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast, lunch and dinner and Food Lion was just a short ride. Thank you Dan for sharing this beauty with us. We highly recommend it for any occasion.

The home was fantastic.What we loved:* Having the sound in our back yard. * Unbelievable sunset views from the decks. Caught amazing pictures of the harvest moon from the decks. * The breezes you felt from the decks were amazing! * Each of the 4 bedrooms technically had their own dedicated bathroom which was awesome even if you had to go out of your room to get to it. * The queen and king beds were comfortable. * Using the hot tub at night to ease tired muscles after a long day was amazing. Just make sure you turn the gray knob to get the jets to work!* Catching tons of fish and hermit crabs in the backyard. Suggested improvements or things to bring:* Extra fans if you sleep hot. AC is capped at 70. Ceiling fans helped a bit. 2 are provided.* Memory foam toppers for twin beds. Consider bringing them if you have adults in that room.* Shades or curtains on the doors in the dining room. They casted a big glare on the TV. We didn't watch TV often but there were some soccer games the boys couldn't miss! * Screens on the sliding glass doors. The breezes were amazing, but we couldn't open the doors to enjoy them without screens.* Wiping down the inside of the cabinets. There was some black debry in them. * Spray for mosquitoes. They were bad this year. Worse than in past. Make sure to bring bug spray! These are just very minor things and nothing that we wouldn't still give this place 5 stars for. Amazing stay. We would return!

Family Vacation

Our first family vacation to OBX and Breeze Bay was perfect. The location was fantastic- 5 min walk to the beach was super easy but honestly our boys loved fishing from the dock and using the kayaks just as much. Pickleball was a blast at Kinnakeet. The kitchen was fully stocked for making meals. We absolutely loved having morning coffee on the deck and then watching the sun set on the roof top deck. Avon is such a fun town with great restaurants and lots to do in addition to an absolutely beautiful beach. We definitely hope to return next year.

We vacation every year with our best friends. As the kids get older, they want more freedom and what is better than fishing in-site? And bait & tackle in walking distance? This house has enough space for everyone - and plenty of decks! We all enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and paddle boarding around the sound whenever we weren’t on the beach. And the decks allowed us to watch amazing sunrises, sunsets and lightning that lit up the entire sky! In addition, the owner was fantastic at communicating before and during the stay, answering any questions we had.

The owner is very responsive and wants your stay to be the best it can be. The kitchen is well stocked with every needed appliance. We loved the many balconies and beautiful views. The beaches are not crowded, and the kayaks were a hit on the sound side.

Perfect Weekend Trip

Spring Break

The location was excellent and the house was perfect for what we were looking for (sound side and more of the area that was less commercialized). The owner was easily accessible, and we definitely would recommend this property (& area) for other families visiting the Outer Banks

All of our family members set aside a few days to celebrate their birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas at a special location with amazing adventures planned. This year we met in Avon NC! The VRBO we stayed in was absolutely perfect for us and everyone loved it!! We caught 2 sharks surf fishing and had an amazing Thanksgiving dinner and celebrated our December birthdays and Christmas exchanges! Would 100% recommend this VRBO to all active families!! Fun in Avon

My whole family loved this house. It had plenty of room for 11 people of different ages without feeling cramped. The kitchen had everything you need for cooking. The kids loved crabbing and watching sunsets from the crow's nest is a must. We had alot of rain during our stay, so the pool was only open one day but still had an amazing time.

Awesome house

The house was very cleaned and well stocked. The paddle board and kayaks were a hit with the teenagers. Plenty of bedrooms and space. The decks were all very nice. Beautiful sunsets and weather the entire week. Short walk or drive to the beach. Shopping and restaurants close by. The teens loved walking to the many different ice cream shops nearby every night. Absolutely loved this area. Best relaxing vacation.

Piece of Paradise

This was our second stay at Breeze Bay. The house was very clean and lawn was well taken care too. We love all the decks and that there were chairs on every one to sit and enjoy the views. The wrap around dock of the canal was awesome for fishing as well. Dan was great to work with and always quick to respond. Thanks for making our 2024 OBX trip so enjoyable!

Fun in the sun

Great, quiet location

Location was awesome as it allows for quick access to all the islands. The house was clean with all the stuff needed to cook. Sheets were supplied by owner but did have to bring towels which was not a problem. The outdoor shower is helpful for sand. There were tons of places to eat nearby. You can catch both sunrise and sunset from this house with the top deck. Amazing week for our family.

Perfect Location for a Low Stress Vacation

Fantastic house for any vacation. It was exactly as described in the site and the amenities were terrific. We spent our time between walking to the beach, kayaking on the sound, and getting a driving permit to go to the beach south of town. One day we chilled out at the pool and tennis club which was very low stress. A daily ritual following beach time was coming back showering outdoors and then hitting the hot tub. Location is about 2 miles from the center of Avon, but right next to the Sound. The Kayaks, Paddle board were welcome activities. I would recommend this house anyone. One thing to note is that one of our party did cut her toe on the oyster shells in the sound. Water shoes are recommended.

Amazing

The house literally has everything you need. The kitchen is stocked so well and literally has everything you need and more. The location and views were amazing. We were very pleased. The owner is so fast in responding and very kind. We are so happy he shared his home with us and if we come back this will be the home we stay in!!

Fish from the Backyard

Terrific location for our 3 fishermen...pond, sound and ocean! The teens enjoyed trying out the kayaks in the pond as well. Access to the grill for cooking and hot tub for relaxing was great! Dan was awesome to work with and he quickly answered any questions.
