Don't sleep on this home!! BOOK IT!

We had the most fabulous experience staying in the Maroulis Beach House over the weekend. Michelle, the property owner, was generously accommodating and responsive. The house is GORGEOUS, well-appointed, and has so many different spots to hang out. With lots of beverage fridges, a pool cabana with bar, lounge chairs, decks, comfortable furniture and abundance of bathrooms/bedrooms we couldn't have asked for a better place for girls' trip! We had a Shore Chef come in the first night to make our dinner and he was so appreciative of the top of the line WOLF stove and double oven and the beautiful marble counters and large kitchen sink. The location to town was perfect. Plus there were views of the bay from the windows, and it was a quick walk to the beach. We even used a bike. THANK YOU THANK YOU! We'll be back!

Amazing Home & Host!

We rented Michelles's home for the Thanksgiving holiday and had a wonderful stay. the home is amazing -- clean, well laid out for privacy, kitchen is well stocked etc etc. Michelle replies immediately to texts and made our stay a wonderful experience.

Beautiful beach house in a great location

We loved this home. Lots of spaces to hang out, several bathrooms, everything clean and nice. The pool and cabana in the back are so great, and you are close to the beach. Great location with several walkable spots, and quick drives to Stone Harbor and Cape May a little farther south. Parking is easy and plentiful. Michelle was so easy to communicate with - they’ve created a great house for families to spend time in. One thing to note is you have to bring towels and sheets for beds; that can be tough for people flying in but we drove from northern Jersey so it wasn’t tough for us.

Highly recommend !

I rented Michelle’s property in the off season while in town for a wedding. We were a group of 9 adults and felt extremely comfortable in the house with plenty of space. The house was exactly as advertised in the photos, was clean and comfortable. We were able to walk to the beach easily, and were able to walk to bars/restaurants easily. Communication with hosts was prompt and clear. Would highly recommend !

Beautiful house, great location

Spacious and beautiful, the house is within walking distance of many restaurants and stores in Avalon. While it is closer to the bay, it is only 5 blocks from the beach. The cabana by the pool was a game changer, perfect for entertaining guests.

Sisters weekend

Michelle is a wonderful host- she responds quickly to any questions or problems. The house is picture perfect. Really everything was great except for the weather. But plenty of room to stretch out in. Very comfortable. Came for a sister and sister in law weekend. Highly recommended this property.

Amazing Stay for a Bridal Party

Thank you to Michelle for sharing her beautiful Avalon home with us. It was hands down one of the necessary homes I’ve ever stayed in. I stayed here with my (fiancé/husband) and my bridal party (7 girls, 3 spouses) for the weekend of our wedding. The layout was perfect, good for families or groups of adults as pretty much all of the bedrooms also have their own private bathroom and balcony. The house was decorated impeccably, the kitchen and living space were so functional and cozy and the bedrooms were amazing, lots of closet space, comfortable beds etc. the outdoor pool and bar were so much fun. I don’t have anything at all bad to say, we adored it and made so many memories and hope to be back again in the future for a family vacation! Thanks Michelle 💗

Sisters Vacation

Four of five sisters were able to get away for a week's vacation the last week of September 2021 at this beautiful home in Avalon. Our fifth sister was unfortunately not able to join us and was missed dearly. The weather was spectacular. The home was very comfortable and its location very convenient to town and the bay and the beach. The backyard pool was just the perfect size to have a little fun and then dry off in the warm late September sun. Sunrise on the beach was a great way we started one day. An early morning walk for exercise throughout the town and neighborhoods was how we started each day. We would highly recommend this vacation home. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had and accommodating to any of our requests. We will definitely consider this home in the future for another "Sisters Vacation"! Thank you.

Worth the price!

This was my family’s first vacation since the pandemic hit and we are so happy we stayed here. It was also our first time in Avalon! The house has everything you need. You definitely get your money’s worth because everything in the home was high quality and convenient, Beautiful gourmet kitchen. You can tell that the owner was very thoughtful in the layout of the home because there wasn’t even a square inch of wasted space. Every room was functional and beautiful! There are even two grills. We loved walking to the beach. It was a short and easy stroll for us with kids. The outdoor shower was a lifesaver to wash off sand from excited kids hopping from the beach to the pool. The house is so close to so many restaurants and ice cream shops. The owner was very responsive and sweet! Can’t wait to come back!

Nice home, odd experience

Anyone staying here for a weeklong vacation is spending 5 digit$ and deserves an unbiased review. I was able to discern from the guest book that mostly/only friends of the family had stayed there prior to my family (12 guests ages 5-12 and 35-65) coming from across the country for 7 days after finding the property on Vrbo. There are pros and cons. The pros include location (being located in Avalon). The kitchen had everything we needed. The place was clean and spacious. It is well decorated. One of the best things was using their umbrella and chairs for the beach. I thought it was a pro that the owners are involved in property management but turned out not so great (more on this in the cons). The home came with fishing poles to use and bikes, although in variable conditions. The cons include having to bring our own bed sheets and linens. We had to hire a local service to provide sheets which required more expenses and more work to set up, and to return the sheets. I’ve never had to bring my own sheets to a vacation home rental but this was required to accommodate the owners and their cleaning crew. The electricity was short circuiting in the 3rd floor master bedroom multiple times per day which was a huge nuisance because the circuit breaker is on the first floor. The beach is too far to walk for young ones and even older kids in the summer heat. Easy enough to drive down and park, though. Speaking of walking be prepared to walk a LOT of steps, even the kitchen requires walking two sets of stairs to access. Lastly what put a dark cloud over the stay was the last 24 hours through check out. My parents, siblings and I spent the final day of our vacation organizing the place, doing dishes, cleaning and doing laundry (bath towels and beach towels) and taking excess trash to the local dump. We aren’t professional maids, but we are all homeowners and parents and we have vacationed together in rental homes dozens of times. Within 25 minutes of check out, the owner sent me a nasty message berating me and my family for what she perceived was us disrespecting the home. No questions, no conversation, just berating and literal attempts to shame us. Needless to say I have never experienced this. I hope the owners learn how to communicate better and establish more realistic expectations for guests, otherwise they should only rent to their friends or small parties for short durations.
