  • Welcome to 124 Hiawatha Lower Unit- Avalon Home

    This property features a completely unobstructed ocean view from the living room. Watch parasailers take flight, yachts tie up to moorings, cruise ships ferry passengers, and tour boats come and go from the green pier. The living room also features a new 55” smart TV and a queen size sleeper sofa.

    The master bedroom has a California King Bed that faces the ocean. Early birds will love watching the sunrise over the water. Night owls will prefer watching the moonlight reflect on the Harbor.

    QUIET HOURS: 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (use of outdoor areas strictly prohibited).

Very friendly hosts. This was a great place to stay and having a golf cart was the best. The place is a bit small. We had 4 people- any more would have been way too tight. Walls are thin so you can definitely hear the people walking above you. But overall, it was a very nice place and I would stay here again.

We loved Avalon and it was amazing to have a golf cart. The house is cozy but older. The pictures are accurate but it was a bit smaller than I expected. The kitchen is well supplied, the beds are comfortable, and the main bath is updated.

The location of the property was great! The golf cart made it super easy to get groceries and get around Avalon. The view from the living room was amazing to watch the sun rise and to see the ferries and boats in the harbor. The property itself was a little run-down, but it had a well lived-in feel to it and was overall comfortable and suited our needs. A fuse went out in the kitchen, I texted with the owner and someone came over right away to fix it and make sure the oven, microwave and coffee pot were working. I would stay here again.

Perfect location, very cute with nice views and a little outside of town so it's nice a quiet! It was a relaxing trip and perfect for our stay.

Beautiful updated home with stunning views and lots of space. Golf cart is very new and reliable. Hosts are very responsive and friendly. Would highly recommend this property and definitely book again when we come back. Bonus is a friendly cat that roams around the yard and loves pets.

Beautiful view, walking distance to everything. Safe area, host was super friendly and responsive. The only thing that would be better is if they offered a 6 person cart we had to take trips or some had to walk since the cart is for 4 only. Other then that everything was great definitely will book again

We had an amazing stay in Catalina. Everything was exactly as described, and the place was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. Communication throughout the entire process was smooth and easy, which made everything stress-free from start to finish.The golf cart was a huge plus and honestly made the whole experience even better. It made getting around the island super convenient, especially with kids.Overall, a great experience and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Catalina.

Great view, comfortable and pretty close to the main drag, especially given the view. The golf cart is a big plus, but only holds 4 people, although the lodging holds 6.

Not a full 2 bath, it’s 1-1/2 bath. Bbq had 2 empty propane tanks which ruined our dinner. Property has very dangerous uneven concrete steps going from ground floor to this unit. Property location is inaccurately pinned on the map. Golf cart is useful but not powerful (we were being tailgated everywhere because cart was slower than average (works well with only 1-2 people). Outside Trash cans were full and overflowing with trash from 2 rental units; crows and deer had spread the trash everywhere down the street and we had to pick it up twice. Unit was nice on the inside and has nice views, but can hear every step the people take in the upstairs rental unit.

Beautiful view above Avalon Harbor in a quieter neighborhood but still close enough to walk to the action. Having a golf cart available at all times was great. We put it to good use exploring the town and surrounding environs

Cute!

Cute place with an amazing view. We had everything we needed, loved having the golf cart, and had a wonderful stay. The linens and dishes and overall appearance was clean, but the property could definitely use a deep cleaning.

Nice place, up a step hill for great views.It would be a huge help for travelers if luggage could be stored in outside closet on the front & end of stay. Also would be good to provide written info on golf cart ( only 1 gas station in town)

Great place. The golf cart was useful and fun. Comfortable beds and clean towels. If you are not comfortable climbing the steep hills walking from the ferry consider arranging a ride to the residence.

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was beautiful and came with a golf cart, which was definitely a necessity for getting around easily. Check-in was smooth, and communication with the hosts was quick and easy the whole time. The view of the water was stunning, such a peaceful spot to relax. The only issue we ran into was the Wi-Fi being a little spotty, but everything else made up for it. Would definitely stay here again!

It's hard to beat the harbor view from the living room/master bedroom, especially at sunrise and sunset, but, ultimately, this property left a lot to be desired. It is in desperate need of a deep cleaning -- spider webs in most corners, blankets that don't seem to be washed between stays, stained furniture, the hot water faucet handle in the main bathroom leaks onto the counter if you turn it on, etc. There was sand all over the coffee table when we checked in. The cleanliness was really disappointing.That said, having a golf cart included -- considering this property is up a steep hill -- was crucial to our stay. We used it to get around for a few days and it didn't take much gas at all.If you're stay in Avalon is going to be filled with going out and you won't be spending much time in the property, then this place will probably work for you.

We had a great trip Location of the house was great and golf was a must was awesome to have. House could use some updating and wasn’t as clean as it could have been, could use a deep clean.

Peaceful and perfect

Everything was awesome. The view was amazing. Nice location, great perk with the golf cart, had everything we needed in the home as well. Already recommended to family and friends. Would definitely rebook if we return to the island.

Amazing

The property was great! Very clean, lots of games and the view was spectacular. The added bonus of the golf cart sealed the deal as one of our family members had knee replacement surgery recently.
