Stunning converted barn by the river

Maison de la rivière Grange is a stunning converted barn set in the idyllic surroundings of the Bearn des Gaves region, by the river Saison, just 5min drive from the medieval village of Sauvetere de Bearn. Fully renovated, the property comprises of four double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with walk-in showers and one bath. The master bedroom is en-suite. One of the bedrooms is a family room with a double mattress set up for children in the eves. It can seep up to 10 people. It has a large sitting room and an open-plan kitchen / dining room with seating for 10 people, as well as a spacious terrace with loungers, overlooking the river Saison. We have underfloor heating system, as well as a Swedish-style wood burner. We are surrounded by 10 acres of land (all part of the property) and we have our very own access to the river for you to swim or fish. In addition to our chickens whose eggs you are invited to enjoy during your stay, you will also find here five miniature goats, horses and ponies, chickens, two cats and a labrit dog cross.
We have some of the region’s finest walks and cycling routes on our doorstep, as well as a great restaurant, Auberge Blondain. A larger selection of restaurants is also available in Sauveterre de Bearn, only a 5 minutes’ drive away, and the Atlantic Coast’s sandy beaches and beautiful seaside towns of Biarritz or Saint Jean de Luz make lovely day trips. We're also 1.5hrs drive away from the Pyrénées National Park: perfect for a day of trekking, camping or skiing. We are surrounded by charming villages such as Salies de Bearn, Navarrenx or St Jean Pied de Port. Our region is famous for its network or rivers and canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding are popular for the entire family. Horse riding is available throughout the year, as well as golfing and access to the salt water Thermes in Salies de Bearn. To keep the children entertained, there quite a few fun parks and waterparks in our area, all within an easy drive. We also have ten acres of land for your to roam around, if you want to keep it local. Take a refreshing swim in the river or fish from our very own beach which can be accessed via a footpath and is a few minutes walk away from the property.
Please note that Grange de la riviere is one of two properties available for holiday let in the same premises. During the summer months, you will most likely have other holiday makers as neighbours.
