We had an amazing stay at Blake’s place in Cedar Park!! The house was super spacious and the hot tub and pool table were definetly huge pluses. Would definitely stay here again!

I reached out to the host on our final night regarding the issues below. They took no responsibility but offered to refund a portion of the rental ONLY if I left a 5-star review for the stay. Keep the money — here is an honest review.Day 1: We contacted the host because there was no water pressure when using hot water. They acted surprised and told us to monitor it.Day 2: We reached out again and were told someone would be sent out. Later that day, a person came by to change the batteries in the door lock and mentioned that the water issue was a city-wide, ongoing problem.Day 3: When we returned to the house, a man poked his head out of the front door to let us know he was there to look at the water (no vehicle was parked nearby). He had tape covering the logo on his shirt and explained that he has been to this house multiple times. According to him, they already have a quote to fix the issue, but the property owner has not authorized the work. He said he hides his company logo and parks around the corner because he doesn’t want his company associated with the property. His advice to us: take cold showers.With barely any functioning hot water, I doubt anything in this house was properly cleaned. We ran the dishwasher four times with the same load, and the dishes were still dirty — and yes, they were pre-rinsed.The pool company showed up on Day 3 and said they hadn’t been called out in months. He spent three hours cleaning the pool.DO NOT BOOK.
Water is 100% turned on, barley enough to get the soap off your body, much less out of your hair
Had no desire to use the pool, but was cloudy and had algae buildup on the side

This large house was a perfect fit for our family get-away weekend. It has large rooms and there is a private bathroom for every bedroom. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, the pool and hot tub were a delight. Owner was very fast to text me back with answers to a couple of questions I had. Our family enjoyed our weekend stay at The Gateway!

Beautiful and spacious home!

We were in town for my nephew's wedding in Georgetown, and we booked this house for 3 nights. The house is beautiful and very spacious and even has a pool and small guest house in the back. The house was very clean when we arrived and equipped with everything we could possibly need, including pool table, games, toiletries, pots/pans/dishes/utensils, and stuff to make coffee. We didn't even have to venture out to Starbucks for coffee! The location is perfect. Grocery stores and restaurants and retail shops are all within a few miles/minutes from the house. And the neighborhood is very nice and quiet. I would highly recommend this home to anyone with a large family, as it has SO much space. I will definitely consider staying here again should we need to rent a home in this area in the future.

Amazing Kid's Free Weekend!

Blake was very easy to get in touch with and made the process of checking in and out a breeze. The rental was exactly as described and even larger than the pictures appear. Being only about 20 minutes outside of Austin is nice for the convenience and the quiet. Everything that would be needed, i.e. grocery. coffee, gas, and alcohol are all within a 5 minute drive from the location. The pool and hot tub area are well laid out. Controlling the pool is a little annoying from the app, but not the worst thing to worry about. The next time we visit Austin area, we will definitely keep in mind staying here again. Thank you Blake!

it was very clean and we had everything that we needed. It was driving distance of grocery stores in gas stations in fast food restaurants and it was super tidy and we had a fun time and I wouldn’t mind renting this place out again

House was great! There are actually 2 houses. Smaller one in the back yard. It was really spacious and clean. Blake responded right away. Big tv in the living room and fast wifi as well. Just know that at the time of our visit there was no bbq but you could bring your own. There were a lot of food options around and quick trip to a grocery store.

Very beautiful home, but the smell was overwhelming

This home was stunning and a great location. My group and I were disappointed with a few things that were wrong with our stay. The house wasn’t fully cleaned upon arrival. The bedsheets were dirty and the clean towels were damp and smelled. The window screen by the front door is also falling off. Overall, we love the house but the condition of the house and the smell throughout it made our stay a little unpleasant. I’m not sure if there was a backup with the septic tanks but as we arrived it was overwhelming. A few of my guests had a migraine from how strong the sewage smell was. The mother in law suite located in the backyard (besides the toilet being overflowed upon arrival) didn’t have bed sheets put on. We did contact the property manager and he sent out a plumber within 24 hours. We were also unable to use the Wi-Fi or the hot tub. We also contacted property manager about that and was told the information we had was correct, but 12 of us were unable to connect which was a little frustrating. Again, this was a stunning home but a few things could have made this stay much more pleasurable.
