This was a very disappointing experience. The house is in a low-level area surrounded by homeless people, both in the back and front of the property, which made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Inside, the house was very dirty and smelled like cat. We are allergic, and the host, Shannon, didn’t seem to care when we mentioned it.It looked like someone was living there. There was food in the fridge, including milk and other items that could go bad, clothes in the closets, dirty towels on the bed, and a mop and rag left on the porch. The yard was not maintained; a tree trunk had been cut and left in the yard.The house did not look like the pictures. It was dark, creepy, and poorly maintained. We left after five minutes and went to a hotel because we couldn’t stay due to our allergies. The host admitted there was a cat but never informed us before booking.I have used Vrbo many times and never had a bad experience before, but this one was beyond disappointing. This property should not be listed in its current condition.

Excellent property for a girls weekend

The home is perfect for a weekend with friends. It was well stocked with everything we needed, plenty of bedrooms and great outdoor space off the kitchen--and the location was convenient for us to either walk or take a short Uber ride. Definitely recommend.

Perfect for Groups!

We stayed at Shannon's house for a bachelorette and it was PERFECT- location, amenities, layout, the works. Her home is beautifully decorated and outfitted with everything you'd need for a weekend away. Walkable to Lady Bird Trail, Juiceland, Target, Bars, Coffee and more. Would 100% stay here again!

Thanksgiving in Austin

This really is a charming historic house in Downtown Austin. We were a family of 8 ranging in age from 31 to 70 from around the country meeting for Thanksgiving. There are plenty of bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, and the location was great. We were able to explore much of the city -- mostly on foot -- from this spot. Highly recommend!

Shannon was a wonderful host. Great communication leading up to our visit. The house and outdoor area has wonderful space for a large group while still having amazing sleeping accommodations. I can’t recommend this house and host enough. Thanks Shannon.

30th Birthday Weekend

Stayed here for my 30th birthday weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Rooms were quiet if people were playing music in the kitchen / living room, comfortable beds, walking distance to 6th st bars, Rainey st! Host communication was awesome, would 100% recommend anyone to stay here!

Perfect Bachelorette House

We had the BEST stay for my sister’s bachelorette. We were a group of 14 girls and felt comfortable and safe the entire time. The home is massive and has great common areas both inside and outside for the group. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, with 3 bedrooms conjoining to each other (which was a lot of fun for the girls group!) The house is a safe walking distance to Rainey Street, which we only did during the day, and a short Uber/Fetii to all other popular locations. The host Shannon is extremely accommodating and communicative! She allowed us to drop our luggage super early and then come back to decorate prior to check in time while she finished preparing the home. The extra decorations left behind were also a big hit! The house has everything you need: from extra tape to sharpies to a ton of dishware. I highly recommend this property for your next group trip!

A great Friendsgiving in austin

We are 3 friends who went to college together and then moved to different parts of the country. We reunited with our families for a few days during the thanksgiving break. The house was spacious, comfortable and clean. Lots of room for groups to hang out in lots of spaces. We especially loved hanging around the fire pit! Highly recommend!

Great for Bachelorettes!

Overall we had a great stay. Positives: Bachelorette drawer with extra supplies!! Lots of space and seating. Comfortable beds. Excellent communication from the host. Really fun outdoor space - though admittedly we did not take advantage because it was so hot. Negatives: There were not parking permits so we had to find street parking which was hit or miss. There were a lot of homeless people in the area so it wasn't as walkable as we were hoping.

Moms get away!

Had a great time! plenty of room for 12 of us. clean and kitchen was stocked full. we only wish it was closer to town. Did have to uber everywhere which they did come in a few min every time so wasn't a big deal. Had lots of great memories!
