Realmente fue terrible, toda la noche gente gritando en el pasillo, personas peleando, tocando la puerta de mi habitación, les recomiendo no contratar este hotel de mala muerte.

Upgraded bathroom fixtures, but not clean when arrived. Old style tub and shower. Weird TV backlight that can't be turned off and slow TV channel changes. Old style motel feel. Way overpriced for what is offered.

The worst experience I’ve ever had! The cigarette smell was so strong that I could barely sleep. They don’t even provide a proper comforter, just a thin sheet. I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone. I feel like all my belongings absorbed that awful cigarette smell. Giving this place one star is already too generous for such a terrible experience! And to make matters worse, I only stayed for ONE night!

My bed was infested with roaches although it appeared to be clean and made up. The room had a roach infestation. Apart from that, the rooms looked renovated, modern and good looking for the price.

⭐ 1/5 – Would Not Recommend Our stay at the Scottish Inn in downtown Austin was extremely disappointing. I understand this is a budget hotel, but basic cleanliness, safety, and working amenities should still be expected. The toilet was ridiculously loud when flushing, yet somehow barely flushed anything at all, sometimes not flushing whatsoever. The shower constantly switched between hot and cold water. To make matters worse, there was a USED PIMPLE PATCH stuck to the wall. Clearly, cleaning isn’t a priority here. The office chair was broken, and when my boyfriend sat down, he nearly fell backward. The light near the desk was also constantly flickering. There was even a noticeable smell of gas in the front lobby, which was concerning. One evening, we returned from an outing to find three police cars blocking the entrance, which didn’t exactly make us feel comfortable. Breakfast was advertised online, but there was absolutely none available. The vending machines didn’t work either, meaning we had to go to the neighboring restaurant or gas station just to get drinking water or snacks. I wasn’t expecting a luxury hotel, but I certainly expected functioning plumbing, clean rooms, safe furniture, and the amenities advertised. Unfortunately, this place couldn’t even meet those basic standards. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else.

The staff is friendly and obviously they try to keep rooms clean. But definitely the management has to take care for pests, especially roaches.

Comfy and food friendly

Great space and bed. Good lighting. Cable was kinda bad reception on HBO. All the other channels were great. Had a little coffee machine and fridge in the room which was great for leftovers and morning brew. Very good Mexican restaurant right there.

Awful! The pictures online is nothing compared to the actual hotel. 😢 toilet didn’t work we had to add water just to flush.

They said the rooms were newly renovated. They also said it was nonsmoking but the room reeked of smoke. There were sketchy people walking all around the property. Stains on the bedding. We didn’t even stay. I felt very unsafe. We left and stayed at a different hotel.

This place is awful. It looks nothing like the pictures and has a taqueria attached to it with bars on the windows. They refused to refund us When we tried to cancel and get a refund because we felt unsafe and the hotel pulling false advertising. There management and employees are rude. They had hookers in the parking lot. Do not stay here.

If I could give it a zero I would. It was bugs all over. Prostitution and drug dealing as well. We couldn’t get our money back so we had to stay. I’m so glad to finally be away from that hotel because they definitely put the HOE in Hotel.

Nothing like the pictures. It was clean however, the shower didn’t work (faucet coming off the wall), the tiles in the bathroom were stapled on the walls, the door looked like it had been broken down a few times. Friends of mine said they had bugs in their room, but I didn’t see them. Definitely not a place you’d hang around if you had down time.

No one was at the front desk upon my arrival. I waited 15 minutes for someone to open the door. The renovated room was unprofessionally done with holes on the wall and an unfinished bathroom. The bed squeaked like it belonged to the 1970s. And I felt very unsafe as if I was going to become missing. Just terrible! Don't let the pictures fool you.
