Family Staycation Paradise -Lake Austin Waterfront:Volleyball, Kayaks, Hiking

NOTE: LCRA is lowering Lake Austin Oct 12-Nov 30, 2026 for property owner dock maintenance. There won't be lake life as usual, but our kids growing up loved!!! big hikes on the dried lake bed. I can send pix to show what that is like. An "OOO-AHH" lake get-away. Sand volleyball, kayaks, Lily pad. Kayak across the lake and hike or check out other local trails in Steiner. Or let the serenity entice you to chillax. Custom built home with cedar flooring and exposed beams. Feels like middle of nowhere but a world class spa & wonderful restaurants are in the neighborhood (Cho Sushi, Steiner Ranch Steakhouse, Farmands has a great play area for kids) Famous sunsets at the Oasis on Lake Travis 7 miles away, and 40 minutes from downtown Austin. We love to see kids (and kids at heart) enjoy the property. Noise is good....kids squealing joyfully and puppies playing makes us happy. We have a fire pit and grill for guest use only and an owner shared hot-tub. (We live next door) Owner Shelly is always delighted to help with your area questions and trip plans. With 2 parking spaces and 1 bath we book groups of 6 or less. Make sure the room configuration works for your group: Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a full bed, two more may sleep in twin beds up the captain’s ladder in the loft. (Kids and teens love this space, look at the photos and make sure your kids are old enough to be safe on the ladder up to the loft.) Note - We do not count the twin beds on the screened sleeping porch as bed space. It is an ethereal space to enjoy to listen to the birds in the morning, delight in rain on the metal roof, slip away for a glass of wine….but the Texas heat is a factor so the porch is for hanging out, not recommended for sleeping year round.
