This Casita was much more than charming with its eclectic, artistic stylings inside and out and its peaceful, natural surroundings. The size was perfect for one or two people; small but not at all crowded, and the layout made it seem more spacious than its actual square feet. The kitchen was equipped with most anything you would need; I was there for two weeks and used almost every utensil and appliance there to make meals each day. The shower in the bathroom makes it beautiful and relaxing and the walk through closet has ample space and hangers. The pool is a short walk up the hill and is not only beautiful and relaxing, but affords a view out to the valley below. Honestly, the best feature of the stay at this Charming Artistic Casita is the artist hostess. She is genuinely warm and friendly, and she is both accessible and eager to assist with making your stay as comfortable as possible. She is very proud of what she has created on her property and rightly so! I will stay here again in a heartbeat next time I am in Austin!

Anniversary get away

This was our second time to visit The Casita and it was just as delightful as our first! If I had to choose one word to describe this well appointed tiny home, and the surrounding grounds, it would be magical. Claudia is an amazing artist and she has art all over the property waiting to be discovered. Coffee in the morning on the covered porch, and an evening swim, made for a wonderfully relaxing get away. You feel as though you are miles from the city, when actually, you're only a few minutes away. What a special way to spend our 26th wedding anniversary! Thank you, Claudia!

Claudia’s casita is a small slice of peace nestled within the Austin hills. Great location with tons of places to visit around. My dog enjoyed laying out on the patio feeling the breeze rush through.

Oasis perfect distance to everything!

The owner is wonderful very nice, very accommodating and communicates everything. The property is equally as amazing, quiet mornings with birdsong or an afternoon in the pool beating the heat and checking out all the architecture. Sunsets from the patio are also enjoyable or a thunderstorm show as well. It's a great distance to everything around while also feeling like you're away in nature. The casita is perfect size and has everything you'd want. The coffee was great! Parking and directions are easy, plenty of space in the yard to hangout and the privacy feels right. Very happy that I went with this charming property in this great neighborhood.

Incredible!!!!

My spouse and I wanted to visit Austin, TX, but didn’t really want to be in a busy part of the city. This gem (lovingly named CasitAlegre) is within a 20 mins drive of all kinds of downtown entertainment and restaurants, but remote enough that it is quiet and relaxing. Claudia has set up this rental property with such TLC, including your own little yard space complete with a deck, seating, a hammock and shade for those sunny Texas afternoons. The house is well equipped with all you need to make meals and do laundry if you need to. She even hooked us up with fresh organic coffee beans, cream and eggs for our first morning, which was such a treat since we arrived very late the night before. The house is spotless and is very comfortable. Wander around the rest of her property to find unique pieces of her pottery and meticulously cared for ponds, a swimming pool and a variety of eco-friendly elements (eg. Water collection). This is a one-of-a-kind rental and I hope we can return again soon!!Thank you for your wonderful hospitality Claudia :)

Claudia is a top notch host. Everything is as described on line. This casita is about a 30 minute drive from downtown Austin. It is an easy commute and a lovely setting in the hills on a gorgeous estate home with a nearby coffee shop, groceries, malls and a wonderfully unique Italian restaurant (great food). It was very hot when we visited and I was very grateful to make use of the pool. Claudia showed us a local park where we went on a great, easy hike past the river and interesting homes. We like it so much we went back several times. The location allows you to spend the morning exploring Austin and visit Hill Country towns in the afternoon. The casita is perfect, with a lovely porch where you will enjoy a perfect sunset. We love Austin and hope to return again next year for the Willie Nelson Concert.

Claudia was very welcoming and her home was beautiful. She has made the guest house very comfortable, surrounded by her gardens and sculptures it is a lovely place to stay. We were even allowed us to use the pool. I would recommend to anyone and would stay again.

Charming, secluded and peaceful

I had a wonderful stay at Claudia's casita. It is perfectly appointed with everything you need, cozy and comfortable. Morning cross breezes and birdsong abound, and this host treats guests with a supply of gourmet coffee, half and half, and fresh eggs. Just lovely.

The cabin is sooo cute! Huge walk-in shower, small kitchen but has everything you need to make homemade meals and eat together. Internet is hit-miss and only a few channels on the tv but great way to Unplug to kickback and relax, no outside distractions. Claudia is great! Very helpful before and during your trip. Made sure we were would arrive and walk into comfort. Very Clean!! Fairly comfortable bed! Its sooooo quiet there! Wish it wasnt cold and rainy. Would have been able to see stars, just “be” in nature!!! Would stay here again.

weekend getaway

The Casita was a gorgeous stay! The weather cleared up for our weekend and we enjoyed breakfast outside. We walked the property and enjoyed all the art surrounding the place. Quiet and private. We came in at around 11:30pm but we communicated with Claudia about it and she made our check in process easy! We hope to enjoy a future stay here again when we return to Austin.
