We were initially pleased with the cleanliness of the house, the size of the rooms, and the comfortable beds when we checked in on Friday afternoon. However, we quickly realized that we had no control over the fully-digital Nest thermostat. It was nearly 90 outside when we arrived, we had just finished bringing in all of our luggage, and we could not lower the temperature below 75. I contacted the "property manager" (Vacasa's customer support), but they had no idea about the thermostat issue, so they had a local manager reach out to the homeowner. Finally, 3 hours after we arrived, the homeowner lowered the temp to 70 (but we still had no control). The next morning, the temp was again set to 75, so I had to contact the local manager AGAIN. 2 hours later, the temp was set back to 70... So please BEWARE before booking your stay at a property that is not actually managed by an individual! Unfortunately, there's not much that Vrbo can do to help with frustrating situations like this.
