Lovely villa with an amazing view

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa! The view and garden are amazing, and although the villa is a bit dated, it’s charming and clean. Gianni and Franca did a fantastic job taking care of the house and helping out when needed. I truly recommend the villa to any large family or group!

Séjour magnifique

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cette magnifique villa, très spacieuse, avec tout ce qu’il faut pour passer de bons moments entre amis. La piscine et la vue sur mer/volcan sur des gros ++ Merci à Gianni et Franca qui ont été super pour notre accueil. Je recommande +++

Grande maison avec vue magnifique. Une rénovation serait nécessaire mais les extérieurs de la maison reste agréable malgré cela. Les gérants ont été très disponibles pour nous aider durant le séjour.

What a Beautiful Space & Gracious Hosts

My husband, my friends and I had a beautiful stay at this charming villa overlooking the sea! We even got to see Mt. Etna erupting one morning from the patios and gardens! Everything went very smoothly from check-in to check-out. We even opted in to a beautiful dinner prepared for our group after a long day trip up Mt. Etna and the several-course meal was divine, ending with a magnificent homemade tiramisu! I will be recommending this place to friends and family who have already started asking where I found it!

Family vacation

The property was wonderful. We appreciated the charm and historic feel of the Villa. A rental car is a big advantage but we also found many reliable cab companies. Enjoyed an incredible Sicilian feast prepared by Francesca and her daughter, just wonderful. Patio dinning with the water view and waves was perfect. Thank you.

Stunning view

Large villa with a stunning view. The sea is only few meters away, requires to walk down the hill. Wonderful experience! You can hear the waves and Etna looks down on you with majestic look.A/C included but you can use only five machines at the same time. If all the bedrooms are in use and need cooling, you must take turns. We used all of them (didn't know the rule) because it was very hot and this caused the fuses to break down and we lost almost all the electricity.Helpful staff, but they didn't speak English. Very friendly Italian couple who were available if needed.The villa itself was huge. Kitchen was tiny, but we managed still quite well.

Great location and very comfortable

Check in was a nightmare. Family was supposed to meet host at airport with a cot - but he was no where to be found. Directions to villa were very scattered but finally arrived met by housekeeper and shown around the villa. It was old and in need of some updating but very comfortable for our party of 10. Beds and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Pool was lovely although it was still warm enough to swim in the sea. All in all a wonderful holiday.

The best property I’ve ever stayed at on vacation

This place is amazing. The beach is a few steps away down the hill You can swim to a secluded rock beach The pool is a refreshing saltwater luxury The house is spacious well furnished The kitchen is amazingly stocked compared to properties we usually rent We cook at home for most of our trip because we like being together and Doing our own thing. The property managers who checked us were kind and helpful and available. You do need to follow the booking instructions in terms of directions and contacting the property managers prior to arrival There is plenty of parking the property managers handle the garbage for you, which is nice in Italy, which has this very complicated garbage sorting system I Would love to come back to this property with friends and family

The villa is in a beautiful spot with a view of Mt Etna. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, not much English and our Italian was worse. Translation app helped a lot. There were 12 of us and the kids were in the pool most of the day. It’s in between Catalina and Syracuse so you definitely need a car. The villa itself is older and in a quiet area and large sitting areas outside and inside.. Kitchen is small and no toaster but we used the oven.

Huge, beautiful home with breathtaking views

This house was amazing for our family of six. There was more than enough room for all of us, and the outdoor space was so great we spent most of our time soaking up the sun and view from the beautiful pool and multiple sitting areas. The pictures don't do justice to the gorgeous blue sea and views of Etna. The property owner, Nando, was always quick to respond and extremely helpful when we had trouble finding the house on arrival. The host, Gianni and his wife, were so sweet and accommodating during our visit. We didn't want to leave. If you're coming to Catania, do yourself a favor and stay at this house!

Great location for a Sicilian adventure!

We spent 3 weeks here in 2023 at the end of September through mid-October and had the best time.The yard and pool are worth everything! The house is well located if you want to hit the road, as we often did, but tricky to find initially (save Esso Costa Saracena in your GPS). Great sandwich shop just down the road and main grocery store 10 min away. Both the owner and the property managers were accessible on WhatsApp and always very helpful, but you'll need your translator app if you don't speak Italian. We miss Sicily and the house every day!

Prachtig huis met fantastisch uitzicht! Mooi domein met verschillende terrasjes waar het heerlijk vertoeven is, ook op een hete dag vind je steeds ergens een plaatsje in de schaduw om te genieten van een apero. De badkamers zijn een beetje klein maar de nieuwe douches waren prinma! Het interieur is typisch Siciliaans, beetje kleine keuken maar op vakantie leef je buiten dus voor ons prima! Er waren zeker genoeg koelkasten voorzien! alles kon koud gezet worden. Prima ontvangst gehad! zeer vriendelijke mensen. We hebben ook genoten van het diner dar voor ons werd klaargemaakt door hen. Lekkere siciliaanse gerechten en daarna werd ook alle afwas gedaan en keuken opgeruimd. Super service en zeker een aanrader! We hadden een super leuke vakantie en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!!

Extérieurs magnifiques, intérieurs un peu vieillot, voire vétustes

L'extérieur de la villa est superbe, les espaces intérieurs sont un peu vieillots, voire vétustes et la propreté pas Top. La vue sur l'Etna et la baie de Catane est époustouflante et la piscine est parfaite. L'accueil de Giannini et Franca s'est fait au pas de course et en sicilien. Heureusement, ma femme parlait assez bien italien pour comprendre les explications débitées à toute allure. Le contact en amont par messagerie avec Nando de l'agence de location n'a pas été facile jusqu'au jour d'arrivée, mais il nous a bien guidé pour trouver la villa dans un domaine résidentiel privé pas facile à repérer.

A bit deceiving

The property, while in a nice private neighborhood on the coast, needs a lot of updating. The location is very inconvenient and a little confusing to find. You WILL need a rental car. The house needs more toiletries: toilet paper, soap, towels, bath mats. Hot water was often an issue, clogged drains. The outside paint was crumbling and in poor condition. Communication with the host was extremely difficult. The property managers were very nice and met us with keys once we arrived. The language barrier was a bit of an issue.

large but quirky property

Fabulous view and plenty of room as advertised. Vastly unequal options for bedrooms. Cannot state strongly enough how our stay was negatively affected by an absent UNREACHABLE and uninformative host. No actual address. No information on how to open the gate to the property. No guide to the winding streets within the gated community. No system for checkout - how to leave the house keys and gate opener AFTER using it to exit. I finally had to call VRBO support from a roadside gas station to get any useful assistance. It should be noted that communication is only possible by WhatsApp and then still unresponsive.
