Horrible service, which ruins everything else.

Please do not stay at this property. Customer service is at the forefront of a quality experience, and this is sadly lacking here. It will ruin everything else, no matter how good it is. Had a family emergency and required to change a few things. Had issues with the booking and tried to get in contact with the property via e-mail. No response to two e-mails. Ended up calling them three times, but each time it went to answering machine. Left multiple message with a phone number to get a phone call back. Even messaged them on facebook. Everything was ignored over the course of 5 days (no answer to repeated requests). I would stay away from them and look elsewhere. There are many more properties in Auckland that will treat their customers a lot better than this venue. Unfortunately, that ruined it for the rest of the experience. Would definitely not recommend.

A real gem in a great location

Room was beautifully appointed with all the amenities and many quaint touches that made it delightful. Our hosts were welcoming and gracious. Breakfast was delicious and served in a beautiful setting. Easy to access and in walking distance of Mount Eden.

Lovely B&B in city suburb

You'll love staying here! It's tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. I had my birthday here and I couldn't have had a better breakfast banquet!

Old style in modern days

Good place to stay, family feeling in a house "old English style", very friendly hosts, cooking a beautiful and bountiful breakfast.

Fantastisk service, flotte rom, anbefales!!

På jakt etter et koselig sted med flott service og fantastisk frokost. Dett er stedet i Auckland. Ca. 15 min fra sentrum med buss i hyggelig boligområde med restauranter osv. like i nærheten. Vertskapet har virkelig sans for detaljer, rommene var nydelig innredet med stor sans for kvalitet i alle detaljer. Trolig beste bed & breakfast vi har bodd på. Anee-Lise og Arne

The nice cozy B&B in the quiet residential area

The room was lovely and breakfast was really good. It was closer to the bus stop, the train station, a supermarket and restaurants. We enjoyed staying there and walking to Mt. Eden. One minor complain was that we could not have breakfast on departure day because we had to leave at 7 in the morning. If simple boxed breakfast with some fruit and bread had been offerd in the previous night, I would have rated it NO1 B&B not only in Auckland but also in New Zealand. I was so happy that another B & B provided box breakfast without any reqeust . Anyway I am sure that you will have a good time staying here.

Lovely home, lovely stay!

The picture of the outside of this home is deceiving. It looks small and almost ordinary; nothing wrong with that...just stating my observation. This is what we discovered when we arrived: 1. It was located in a quiet neighborhood about 3km from downtown. 2. The home is on a corner, low traffic, easy parking for a rental car. 3. The hosts accommodated us with arriving a bit early and putting our bags in the room so we could travel around seeing the sites. 4. Inside the home is a surprise...lovely architectural detail, beautifully decorated, large rooms, high ceilings. Loved it! 5. Breakfast was over the top with choices, fresh fruit, cheeses, pastries and hot and cold options. 6. Would I recommend the Mt Eden B & B to others? Most definitely! One thing I have discovered traveling in NZ...there is no air conditioning in the homes. Our visit was during comfortably warm temperatures (shorts/light clothing) but very humid. Our sleeping was very comfortable with windows open. Our room was on the front of the house facing the road and being a Saturday I worried about traffic noise but there is no problem. Very comfortable and quiet sleeping!

We enjoyed outstanding service and scrumptious breakfasts. Our room and bathroom were not only beautifully decorated, but very convenient as well. We highly recommend this B&B!

Marlene was an excellent host and an amazing cook. Her husband Anthony was also a charming man. We felt our room, although beautifully appointed, was too small and we would have preferred our own ensuite as opposed to a shared bathroom

Das beste B&B ever, ever

Die Neuseeländer sind ja eh schon ein sehr nettes Volk, aber diesen Zauber in allen Belangen; Wahnsinn. Das Frühstück war in allen Belangen auf einem 5 Sterne Niveau; die Zimmer alle sehr geschmackvoll und sauber, die Liebe zu Details - unglaublich. Von daher; wir waren überwältigt.

子供が独立した後の平屋の民家を改装したＢ＆Ｂで、夫婦で営む民宿。４部屋しかなく、ダイニングで取る朝食は奥さんが目の前で料理をしてくれるので、普通の家庭に招かれたような家族的雰囲気を味わうことができる。主人夫婦はとてもフレンドリー。愛犬も大歓迎してくれる。バスタブがないとか、家具が古いといったところはホテル並みとは行かないが、３日間快適に過ごすことができた。街の中心部から少し遠いが幹線道路に近く、ダウンタウンに行くバス便も頻繁に出ている。周辺は閑静な住宅地で散歩には最適。道路沿いには深夜まで開いている大型スーパーや中華、韓国、タイ料理店などがたくさんあり、買い物や食事に便利だった。

Close, but no cigar!

A beautiful charming old house. Marlene, is delightful but her husband, not so much. He can be a bit short and unhelpful. Needed a converter which did not work; he said basically "too bad, that's a NZ converter" Not even a sorry or perhaps I can help. Kitchen is not open to guests but there is a refrigerator and lots of snacks available. Bathroom was up to date but shampoo and conditioner were in large containers that were previously used. Conditioner seemed watered down. Left to early to try breakfast or even say good-bye.

Best B&B

This was definitely the best B&B experience we had in New Zealand. Marlene and Anthomy made us very welcome in their delightful house. Our room was very clean and comfortable and well furnished. We enjoyed sitting out in the garden under the subtropical trees.

Boutique BnB stay and absolute pleasure!

Thank-you for a wonderful stay @ Eden Park! I could not have asked for a better top end, high quality, boutique B&B stay in this very comfortable and well appointed home. Everything from the heated bathroom floors, the fresh cut flowers in my room (from the lovely garden), to the friendly pup 'Mr Darcy' and kind (owner operated) customer service, I highly recommend this B&B. I travel weekly (all week, most weeks) for work, and this was truly a breath of fresh air in comparison to the stale, cold and impersonal hotel room which I usually call home. THANKYOU Marlene and Anthony.
