Have spent many falls in the Figer Lakes area, but first time on Owasco. Have always had a great experience with VRBO rentals and this was no exception. Great property and location. John was a great owner/host, checking in with us shortly after we arrived. He answered the few questions I had immediately and was always available. Check-in was a breeze. The property itself is exactly what my wife and I were looking for. Quiet, and directly on the lake. The backyard, with full lawn down to the lake, was fantastic. A huge paver patio at waters edge with firepit, dining table and Adirondack chairs is the showpiece of the yard. Enjoyed coffee every morning down by the lake or out on the covered porch (another favorite of mine). An added plus if you are travelling with dogs (we had a 5-yr old German Shepherd with us) is that the back yard is almost completely fenced with a small open area on the front driveway side. The house was super clean and had everything we needed for cooking dinners and just plain relaxing. The house is equipped with 4 heating/cooling units that worked really well and only needed to use two for heating in late October (nights were in the 40s). We love the Finger Lakes in the fall so a little cold to enjoy lake activities, but a great central location for our daily local hikes and visiting family in Rochester. Highly recommend.
