This was a perfect place for my family's stay. Plenty of beds, a full kitchen with everything you need, and close proximity to the sites we wanted to see! The place was clean and Michelle was wonderful!

Ideal spot on Lake Superior

A very nice location, ideal for two adults. Compact space, well decorated, state of the art appliances.Short walk to local grocery and restaurant. Beautiful beach on Lake Superior a short walk from back yard as is the Onota rail trail that leads to the Au Train river. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

U.P. Winter Wonderland

Michelle’s communication was great. Her cottage is easy to find and access. It was clean and cozy. I cooked a couple meals there. Munising and Marquette are fairly short drives from the cottage. Michelle’s husband kept the property plowed and shoveled all weekend so we never had issues parking or needing to walk through 7” of snow. Highly recommend.

Relaxing stay & great location to explore the area !

We had a very relaxing and fun adventure on our trip and in staying at the cottage in Au Train ! The cottage was very clean and well organized & had everything we needed. The owners were very nice and welcoming and easy to communicate with. The location was great for exploring many different activities in the area ,including hiking , fishing , swimming and visiting the nearby Pictured Rocks! There is so much more we wanted to do , but didn’t seem to have enough time ! We plan to come back and explore the area another time soon :)

Hidden gem

We visit the area every summer and this is by far the most comfortable and convenient camp we've stayed at. While you can't see Lake Superior from the house, you can absolutely walk there in 2 minutes. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. It was such a comfortable home base for all our UP adventures.

Convenient location

Suited to our needs. Property owner stays adjacent to the rental and was helpful upon arrival. Tucked in near Au train kayak rental, small grocery and pastie/pizza/sandwich shop. Located across M28 to lake/Au train River junction/scenic beach. Road noise is only downside if that is a concern. Rental was clean and amenities matched pictures/description on Vrbo.

Wow!

From my first contact with Michelle to the end of my family's stay, we felt welcomed. The Lake Superior Cabin is beautiful. It far exceeded my expectations. From it's convenient location, to the comfortable beds, great water pressure in the shower, and so many smaller homey touches, I didn't want to leave. The memories made will be forever cherished! Thank you, Michelle! We had an amazing vacation!

Perfect Place

We were so pleased with the house! This house was the cleanest we've experienced. It fit our family perfectly! We also felt it was in a great location between Munising and Marquette. We enjoyed Pictured Rock and the visited several waterfalls that were about 15 min. away. Then we went to the Lighthouse and Presque Isle. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. Michelle did a wonderful job communicating. We also appreciated all of the information for things to do around the area and restaurants. It was very helpful! Highly recommed!

In the woods, but by a beach

This home has newly constructed bedrooms and bathroom that were perfect for my husband and I. We did not use the bunk room that has 4 bunk beds. It is perfectly located between Marquette and Munising while also being a short walk across the road to a beach on Lake Superior with great sunsets. Walk up in the woods, walk to the beach, travel to a town...just perfect!

Conveniently located, comfortable, well-appointed cabin

The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Enjoyed the firepit and the quick walk to the beach. Also liked that it was centrally located. Made for an easy drive to everything we wanted to see. Michelle was an excellent host. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped cottage. Beautiful surroundings and very close to Lake Superior. Waterfalls, trails, and attractions nearby. Friendly hostess provided helpful local information. Suitable for couples and families. The two bunkbeds in one room can sleep four kids. Bonus feature: this cottage has the biggest and best residential washer and dryer we've ever seen in our lives! We enjoyed a delightful stay.

Adorable cottage, great location

This cottage was perfect for us. Walking distance to Lake Superior beach and the Au Train river, short drive into Munising, but still a private little hide-away. It was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the fire pit almost every night, fire wood supplied!

Perfect location

Michelle was a wonderful host and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at her cabin. 2 minute walk to the river or the beach was fantastic. Short drive to Marquette and Munising for the touristy things. We saw sandhill cranes walk through the property multiple times. I cant say enough positive things about this location and host. We hope to return someday.

Perfect Getaway location to check out Lake Superior Lighthouses

Easy to get to and in the perfect location for us. We traveled a lot during our stay making our way from Whitefish Point (about 2 hours away) and to Copper Harbor (just over 3 hours away). The cabin was right in the middle. We visited 7 lighthouses and over 20 waterfalls while we traveled. Very clean. The cabin has room to sleep 2 adults on a queen bed and 4 more in a shared room with 2 twin bunk beds. We were very happy and would stay here again.

Au Train Amazingness!

Michelle and Jerry were wonderful hosts. Although the cabin is located on the property it’s definitely your own private oasis. Well stocked kitchen, comfy queen bed with plenty of storage in the closet and drawers under the bed. Nice big bathroom with lots of hot water. Nice, washer and dryer on the premises too. Great outdoor area to relax in whether grilling or having a bonfire. Close to Christmas casino, Wagner falls, Au Train falls and Pictured Rocks tours. I highly recommend the spray falls tour. About 1 hour away from Kitch-iti-kipi. Marquette about 30 minutes away. Best part, I could see Lake Superior from the dining table. Would definitely stay here again. There’s plenty of room for me to bring my grandkids next time.

Perfect location

I couldn’t recommend this cabin enough as a jumping off point for Upper Peninsula Adventures. The cabin itself is clean, comfortable and in a perfect location for hiking, kayaking or hanging out at the beach. It is outfitted with a well equipped kitchen and laundry, as well as comfortable bedding for adults and children.

Refresh and Relax!

The cleanliness and coziness of this cottage exceeds expectations! Great location to navigate to Marquette and Munising. Walking distance to Lake Superior and Au Train River beach. Great fire place setup - overall felt like a small version of home. Michelle was great to work with! She had great communication and accommodations from suggestions for things to do to kitchen supplies. Strongly recommend this Lake Superior Cottage!

Cute cabin in a lovely setting

Clean, comfy, and well-equipped. Nice owners. Pretty grounds with ample parking, and nice outdoor living space and view. We were in the area with some friends who had a different rental, so we didn't use as many of the amenities as we'd have liked, but it was nice to have a quiet place to unwind and do meal prep, etc. Would definitely recommend!
