We LOVED this place! The layout and room arrangement worked perfectly. We all felt like we had our own space. We have a family member in a wheelchair, so we brought our ramps and left them in place at the entrance throughout our stay, though with only one small step, we could have lifted the chair as well. The views and the shoreline were even better than described. We all agreed that the property is better than described. The pictures do not do it justice. We all wanted to stay longer.

The shoreline is slippery in places, but we were warned of that in the property details and never had any issues.

The stairs are not for everyone, but anyone able to navigate the stairs can probably explore the rocky shoreline.

Beautiful View!!

We had 9 people and two dogs and it was perfect! The house was clean and had everything we needed. The house is kind of divided in two so we had a lot of room for people who wanted it quiet on one side, and some who wanted to play games on the other side. The yard was perfect for two small dogs. It is a bit difficult to get down to the sandstone beach but once you get familiar with it, we had no issues. We spent a lot of time there swimming and just hanging out. We had an issue with both propane tanks being empty the first night. I called for assistance and within 1/2 hour we had a full take all hooked up. Excellent communication and response time! There are some neighbors but it is still very private. We would definitely stay again. If I had any suggestions, it would be to update the furniture and bar stools.

Sledding at AU Train

Nice property good location. Unfortunately for snowmobilers the access trail is closed due to a closed bridge in AU Train. Made for 4 miles of rough ungroomed trails to access trail 8. I must say the support staff was awesome. Especially Candie who went way out of her way to help with a related request. I do think asking the guests to drop the trash up the road and then return the trash key was over the top for the rental costs overall.

New Year Getaway

The cabins were spacious and clean. The groundskeeper was very helpful when we needed things. The property is beautiful, we would like to stay there again, but in the Fall. Being right on Lake Superior was amazing!

Great location

This house is a great location being near so many waterfalls and also close to both Marquette and Munising. This was our 2nd stay - this time we made sure to leave time to enjoy the yard and little sandstone beach. We had a group of 14 and neer had issues with hot water - and enough rooms and bathrooms to spread out.

Gorgeous property on the lake!

This was a fabulous location and worked well for us with our extended family with two separate living spaces and kitchens. My only complaints are a few maintenance issues with walkways with lose boards that were dangerous for my elderly parents and also the stairs down to the water end in tumbling down rock steps that made access to the water imposible for them.

Beautiful views and great house.

House was a great size for our group (7 adults) and the property was beautiful. Great location with plenty of outdoor activities in the area. Our only issue was part of the house had clearly not been cleaned before our arrival. We did let the management team know.

Has everything that you would need

The home has basically anything that you would need. There were lots of board games, puzzles, and books to read. There is a big kitchen on one side and a smaller kitchen on the other. This was great being able to use one fridge just strictly for food, and the other strictly for drinks. The big kitchen had basically everything that you could imagine you would need. It was great for entertaining everyone all weekend. The deck is huge and it has a nice sized propane grill. If you do wind up needing something, the store just down the road in Au Train is a great little convenience store with basically everything. There is also a full grocery store in Munising.

Gorgeous Location

Location. Location. Location. The setting on the shore of Lake Superior was perfection. Beautiful views of the lake with rustic steps down to the flat rocks right on the shore. Gorgeous sunsets. Large welcoming porch with propane grill for cooking out. Well supplied kitchen. Property manager was very helpful in sorting out our issue with washer/dryer which had been in original listing when we booked. We found the property description a bit misleading. The loft area was very stuffy with a low ceiling that was not appropriate for adult bedroom space. Would be fine for kids. Did not see any “cots.” The bedrooms on the main floor were as advertised. However the ceiling fan in the master bedroom made a loud clicking sound so we couldn’t use it. WiFi reception was an issue. It was fine in the main part of the house but not in the second living area. Everyone had to be in the main area to get service. We were a party of six and it would have been nice to have a dining table with six chairs. Chairs from the second table were not the right height and we had to drag the bench from the entry to provide seating. The issues we had with the property were minor when compared to the overall experience of being in such a gorgeous location. We certainly enjoyed our time at the lake house.

Awesome property!

What a beautiful home and perfect spot waking up every morning to the view of Lake Superior. Not too far from town, just a quick 12min or so drive. Had everything we needed for a week stay. Was large enough for my whole family of 10 (we rented both sides). One recommendation- Hot Tub :)
