Nature`s Nest Lakeside

  • This cabin has one bedroom and one bathroom on the first floor. Second floor has another bedroom and a loft area with queen-size bed.

    Waterfront A-frame with private natural shoreline access on Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron. The shoreline is not a groomed sandy swimming beach, and conditions vary seasonally and with weather. Any beach or beachfront label refers to waterfront access. No lifeguard is provided.
    SELF CHECK-IN: available any time after 4:00 pm

    PARTIES: are not allowed
    QUIET HOURS: are between 10:30 pm and 7:00 am
    PETS: Allowed with an $80 pet fee per pet, per reservation. Pets must be leashed outside and may not be left unattended in the cabin. Barking or other noise that disturbs neighbors is not permitted. Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds. Guests must remove pet hair, clean up after pets outdoors, and are financially responsible for pet damage. Pets must be licensed and current on vaccinations. Dogs over 50 lbs, aggressive or poorly behaved dogs, and restricted breeds including Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, German Shepherds, and similar breeds are not allowed. Contact us before booking with questions or special requests.
    SMOKING: This is a NON-SMOKING cabin
    NEIGHBORS: Be considerate of neighbors at all times including no trespassing on neighbor’s property
    ILLEGAL DRUGS/ACTIVITY: Illegal drugs/activity are not allowed on the property
    GUESTS: People other than those in the Guest party set forth in the reservation may not stay overnight and any damaged caused will be the financially responsibility of the guest.

The unit had everything that you needed. The view was outstanding. Our entire overnight stay was relaxing. Will definitely come back for a longer visit to enjoy with some better weather!

Great A-frame with a beautiful view of a marsh inlet of Lake Huron. Cabin had everything we needed to use as a home base while visiting family. We especially enjoyed the large deck area to enjoy coffee in the morning.

Great little getaway cabin

My family of five loved our stay. We were only there for two nights but we enjoyed every moment. The host was amazing to work with and even came to check something out for us at short notice and followed up to make sure all was ok. Thank you for for a great vacation.

Fun weekend away

We had a relaxing time and enjoyed the beautiful view of the water from the living room. The cabin was very clean and cozy.

The cabin was cute and comfortable and all we expected and more. We loved having the marsh right outside. Having a full wall of windows facing the lake made bird watching and sunrises amazing! Without even leaving the cabin, we saw sandhill crane, swans, ducks and geese, great egrets, red headed woodpeckers, kingfishers and several types of sparrows. Once outside we added a bald eagle to our list. Wonderful place to call home for a few days. We didn'e end up taking the kayaks out, but they and the gear looked great. Maybe next time (if it ever warms up!) We really, really emjoyed our stay and will likely go back.

Quiet, clean and everything you need

We really enjoyed our stay at the property. Everything was clean and ready for our check in. The area was quiet and secluded, nothing really to do around locally which is what we wanted. Will stay again!

Fantastic cabin feel. Views were great and the shade around the firepit next to the lake was fantastic. Water too shallow for fishing and not appropriate for kids to play in water. Cemetery beach nearby is the better option for a good beach.

Welcoming cabin

It was a great experience for our family, a good getaway cabin. Beautiful for families, friends and kids friendly. Very comfortable and with all needed appliances. It has a wonderful view of the lake, fire pit and cozy in the outdoors too. Totally recommended!

Great A-frame cabin with everything you need for your stay! Well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, nice deck and outside furniture. Easy to reach host with quick response. We love the Au Gres area!

Perfect Escape

Natures Nest was the most adorable A frame cabin!! Everything from the view, the cleanliness, and the TV according to my husband..lol, was perfect!!! Eveytime I had a question the host responded quickly. We definitely will be coming back.

Very nice getaway

We enjoyed the experience overall. Nature lover's would love it here. The accommodations are very welcoming and cozy. My husband was happy with the tv entertainment provided as well as many places don't offer such a large selection of prepaid apps to choose from. We really had a great time as I did a lot of grounding and bonding with nature and he chilled out and relaxed. The grill is great to make your food when you arrive and have the rest of your trip for relaxation.We definitely plan on staying here again!

Perfect place!

We adored this cabin. It is right on the water. When you walk in the whole place smells amazing due to the wood. It is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Honestly it's even cuter in person. I wish it was dog friendly as i came to michigan to get a dog and I'd love to come back. If you're on the fence... book it. You won't regret it.

Nice A frame cabin by an inland Marsh. No one to the left of the cabin, two cabins to the right. Cabin was clean and everything we needed was easy to locate. Patio is a nice size and you can bird watch easily. Lots of wildlife. Stairs up to the loft are steep but there is a grab bar and rails you can use. Beds were comfy and cabin didn’t take long to cool down or heat up. Restaurants nearby, beaches nearby, and other attractions nearby as well. Large kitchen table to play card/board games. There are kayaks you can rent and firewood to purchase if you need it.

The Perfect Getaway In Au Gres

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a cabin in Au Gres, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The cabin was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal—nestled in a peaceful area, yet just a short drive to the beach and local attractions. The outdoor space was a highlight, with a spacious deck perfect for morning coffee and evening barbecues. The surrounding woods provided a serene backdrop, and we enjoyed stargazing by the fire pit at night. Inside, the cabin had a warm, rustic charm, with comfortable furnishings and a fully-equipped kitchen. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. They even provided local tips for dining and activities, which made our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat in a beautiful setting, I highly recommend this cabin in Au Gres. We can’t wait to return!
