Life’s a Hoot A-Frame Cabin

  • This cabin has one bedroom and one bathroom on the first floor. Second floor has another bedroom and a loft area with queen-size bed.

    Waterfront A-frame with private natural shoreline access on Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron. The shoreline is not a groomed sandy swimming beach, and conditions vary seasonally and with weather. Any beach or beachfront label refers to waterfront access. No lifeguard is provided.
    SELF CHECK-IN: available any time after 4:00 pm

    PARTIES: are not allowed
    QUIET HOURS: are between 10:30 pm and 7:00 am
    PETS: allowed with an $80 pet fee per pet, per reservation; pet rules and restrictions apply
    SMOKING: This is a NON-SMOKING cabin
    NEIGHBORS: Be considerate of neighbors at all times including no trespassing on neighbor’s property
    ILLEGAL DRUGS/ACTIVITY: Illegal drugs/activity are not allowed on the property
    GUESTS: People other than those in the Guest party set forth in the reservation may not stay overnight and any damaged caused will be the financially responsibility of the guest.

The property was exactly as described. The view of the bay was beautiful. If you go in the summer and hope to swim, you’ll have to drive to a sandy beach. This is on a marshy stretch. We didn’t mind this at all as it was spring and we just wanted the view. The cabin delivered. The owner wad responsive and kind.

Very nice property! Perfect stop to rest and refuel on the Lake Huron Circle Tour, Pros: very clean, nice sleeping spaces, well stocked, easy check in and check out, nice outdoor seating/dining area, many card and board games, enjoyed a beautiful sunrise Cons: kayaks and firewood cost extra, beds are extremely soft

We had a wonderful experience at this rental! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and well stocked the house was. The location was ideal: quiet and peaceful, yet just a short drive to local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We especially loved relaxing on the patio in the evenings, soaking in the serene views and enjoying the fresh air and amazing sunsets and sunrises.Communication with the host was seamless—they were responsive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our stay perfect.

Great Girls Weekend

This place was perfect for my two sisters, my mom and me!! Great spot on the lake, close to shopping in Tawas City and the Saganing casino! Big enough for all of us to have our own space and to come together for our crafts, puzzles and meals!! Would stay here again!!

Wonderful Stay!

We had a short but wonderful stay at Lifes-A-Hoot. Such a cute place to stay. Beautiful views with lots of wildlife to be seen. A deer even walked up on us while we were watching the sunrise. The beds were very comfy. Anything we needed was there in the cabin. We will definitely stay again!

Great location, great accommodation

The instructions for check-in, use, and check-out were very clear, with a direct number for all hours service provided. The house is in a great scenoc location and clean and well kept.

There are three A frames tucked away and the end of a road and the location is excellent. It was so quiet at night that sometimes had to remember that the back door was open. My wife and I traveled with our kayaks and this was a perfect location as a local launch was just around the corner. While we were on the bay, the water at the time we were there was a bit low to launch into. The cabin was very neat and had just enough space and amenities for our needs. The communication from the cabin group was excellent with constant updates, directions, and notes. We highly recommend Lifes A Hoot cabins.

Best i can do

I don't normally leave poor reviews. Booked during a slow weekend. Our paralyzed son had an emergency and we've been in hospital all week. He was really looking forward to the trip, but owner wouldn't let us reschedule (didn't ask for refund, we just wanted to reschedule)for another weekend. Its their right to act that way. Its just unfortunate that they choose too. Enjoy your free money I guess

A very private location with fantastic scenery and wildlife viewing. Peaceful! Our dog loved it too! Host was very responsive and helpful. We hope to go back!
