To start out, the owners of the home were absolutely lovely to work with. They were quick to respond and were very trusting when I told them the home would be used to host a dinner party for a teen boy. As for the property, the rooms were as described and the pictures were fairly accurate. This was my first time utilizing a short-term rental, so take that into account as you consider this review. With that said, my biggest complaint about the home was its uncleanliness. I felt the home needed a real good deep clean from top to bottom. Dirt was clearly visible on nearly every hard surface. And I don't mean dust, I mean in need of a good scrub. This was especially noticeable since the walls, doors, window sills, baseboards, cabinets, stair risers, etc. were painted white. The rugs in some of the bedrooms were in need of shampooing and the bed linens were on the verge of needing to be replaced. Much of the kitchenware was well past its usefulness and my aunt used quite a bit of elbow grease trying to get pots/pans clean enough to use.I think the listing has great potential to be a "lux" property, but it isn't there yet. It's clear that the property was purchased primarily for investment purposes, and a bit more investment in quality linens, kitchenware and more important a good cleaning crew would make this a fantastic short term rental.Would I rent again in its current condition? Probably not. Would I if the necessary adjustments described above were made? Absolutely!

The house is beautiful!! My family enjoyed the stayed. The house is big. We loved the 2 living rooms, one for the kids and other is for the adults. Definitely will be booking again!

Cozy Home, great host, on busy street

We stayed here for a mini family vacation with 8 family members. We needed 5 bedrooms, that is one of the reasons we selected this property. Overall, we had a great time. The home was nicely decorated, farmhouse charm. the rooms were large and beds very comfortable. The host James responded quickly to our needs if we needed an immediate response or within 24-48 hours. Our main issue is that the home is located on a very busy and noise street. Also, the 5th bedroom is a garage with beds in it and was not what we expected and we could not use it. The home is centrally located in ATL, so we were able to get to many locations pretty quickly. Overall, the home is lovely, the host was very accommodating and we enjoyed our stay.

Fit our needs but disappointed

Check in was difficult. Time to check in was 4. I was told we couldn’t get a code to get in until 3pm. Only 1 hour before. I had to still call to get the code at 3:18. The garage bedroom was a little misleading. It is a garage. No flooring or anything. The foosball table was missing a foosball. Each video game had broken parts so the kids were disappointed and it’s not like they could play a board game on the floor because of the concrete flooring. The TVs were Roku. We wanted to add YouTube tv to the apps offered because that’s what our account was with and we were trying to access a basketball game. The tv wouldn’t allow us to add apps without a pin and the host didn’t know what it was so we couldn’t watch. The thermostat was set at 72 and we couldn’t make it cooler at night for bedtime. It got warm. When I asked if we could change it, I was told they would as it was a nest thermostat but it never got cooler. Also on arrival the smoke detectors were beeping. I was told to just remove the batteries which did stop the beeping but I didn’t like the this was the resolution because it seems unsafe and maybe even illegal to have a property without smoke detectors. The fridge was very dirty. When you opened the pantry it wreaked of wine like someone spilled something in there. While the property takes a good picture the glass wear and utensils etc were not a good quality and a little dirty. One thing I liked was there was plenty of coffee, paper towels etc in the unit

Big house, newly renovated.

We enjoyed our stay. The primary bedroom faced the very busy street and we wore earplugs to at night. The street noise was not problem in the other bedrooms. We would stay there again.

40th Birthday Weekend

Great vacation home for a large group with enough space for everyone to spread out. The home was decorated nicely, clean and the beds were comfortable. The home is located on a busy street so the sound of traffic maybe a problem for some. They do provide white noise sound soothers in the rooms. The host kept in touch during my stay to make sure everything is good. We had a good weekend and my family enjoyed themselves. .

Church Mini-Vacay

This property was perfect for what we used it for. The boys and girls loved the little arcade downstairs and loved running up and down the stairs for hide and seek. We also had plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy one another.

Nice place for large groups/gatherings

The property is exactly what you see in the pictures so you get what you expect although there were a few things I felt that should’ve been fixed before having paying guests enter the property, The cleaners didn’t do the best as the refrigerator/freezer was very dirty and the freezer something was spilled and frozen, but not cleaned in the refrigerator was also some things that should’ve been wiped up with broken drawers so nothing too crazy… The grass on the property and around the property is extremely high and needs to be cut immediately. I did ask the host if it were possible to bring our bags to the house before check in and although it’s their right to decline the host gave false hope for hours that this was possible And stop communicating instead of just saying no, So by the time I arrive to the property for check-in, the codes did not work so we were not able to get into the property for about 10 to 15 minutes. However the host was in communication until I gained access. Other issues we had was the grill did not work. We tried everything. And an invasion of a huge cockroach which is inevitable in the state of Georgia, so there’s nothing that the host could’ve done to change that unless they do bombs/treatments for their properties in advance. But I must say this house is very nice and it accommodates large families and gatherings, and as stated you get what you see in the pictures. There is a lot of stairs, so be prepared for a work out to get to the main levels

Shaky Knees Festival

My family and partners and team members came to town to work the Shaky Knees Music Festival at Central Park in Atlanta as part of the DoorDash Food Village. We found this house which looked lovely and was very affordable considering all that it offered and the perfect location. Very Close to where we needed to go plus Little Five Points and the Virginia Highlands neighborhoods are very close! There is a great restaurant across the street too. Wyman and Rum! Incredible food, great margaritas! You must order their Cuban, the Empanadas and the Shrimp Fritters! The house was perfect,! There awas a crew of 12 of us and the house lacked for nothing! It was spotless, had all of the towels. the cups, plates, cooking needs, bathrooms, beds, TV's with all the apps on and working! It was multi-level so it really affords everyone privacy as well! I highly recommend this property! And the hosts James and Anne are very nice and highly communicative! THEY MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU GET THERE, WHILE YOU ARE THERE AND AFTER THAT EVERYTHING IS GREAT!

Large house, nicely decorated. On a loud street

Nice size house and layout. Nicely decorated. Appreciated well stocked paper products, towels, snacks, and coffee kcups. The neighborhood is definitely very transitional and we did not feel safe walking anywhere from the house or going for a jog in the neighborhood. The location unfortunately on it very very busy street and there is loud traffic throughout the night. The house is not well insulated so even people walking around on different levels in the house can be heard. the house was generally clean but is in need of a deep clean. There are blinds that are missing slats and a few small repairs are needs. but generally it was a good rental for the six of us including 4 children ages 2, 4, 8, 9. Arcade games were a big hit.

Nice property but there were exceptions..

This was a beautiful home, decorated nicely and good communication prior to my stay. It was also very spacious and a perfect accommodation for my large family especially the lower level for my older family members that didn't want to climb stairs. The beds made for a comfortable sleep. There were games, that we enjoyed as a family. The neighborhood seemed transitory but we never saw anyone passing by or felt unsafe. The only flaw to the property was the amount of lady bugs that were in the home. We stayed during winter so there was no need for open windows or doors. These bugs were pretty aggressive flying around while we trying to enjoy family time in the living space, hanging out on the bed and windows joints. When I mentioned the bugs to the host, I didn't receive a response.This home would be perfect with proper fumigation.
