We booked this property through VRBO, but it was being managed by Evolve. Apparently the owner took down the listing with Evolve 40 days prior to our stay but our booking fell through the cracks, and we were not informed that the house was no longer available. I messaged the host more than a week prior to our arrival to request early check in and she didn’t respond to me. 2 days before departure I contacted Evolve and they tried calling her but still nothing. Finally she responded to my text and said that yes, we could check in early. On the day we arrived, I asked for the keyless entry code and she said that it should’ve been on the listing, but it was not. She asked which property I was asking about and told me that our reservation was canceled because she’d taken down the listing 40 days ago. So we were in an unfamiliar city at 4pm , with no where to stay and it was starting to rain.I called Evolve and Connie began to figure out the situation. Our reservation was indeed canceled but we were never notified. She initiated a refund request from VRBO, and to their credit, they did return our money promptly. I don’t actually know the condition of the property, since we didn’t stay there, but I gave everything one star on Terrible because of how badly it went.
