"This a very nice house. It is on a lake, but doesn't really have a swimming area on the property. The use of the kayaks was a great option. We were able to do some fishing off the dock. The house is about an hour away from most bigger towns. We spent a lot of time in Alpena which had a great beach and splash pad. It was very hot while we were there. I thought that the house had AC, but it was only 2 portable units, one downstairs and one upstairs. They did not cool the house down,...

"This was our second time staying at Big Bear Lodge with a party of 16 and it was such an amazing time! The house is huge, fully stocked, very cozy and clean. The hot tub is a great bonus on a chilly Fall evening but one of my favorite spots is the fire pit with tons of seating for everyone along with the outdoor sound system. Brian is great and communication was wonderful! We will definitely be back again next year!!! "

"Loved the cabin, it was really cozy and relaxing. Plenty of firewood to burn in the fireplace was provided making this winter stay even more cozy. I would definitely book this place again and probably will again the same time next year and possibly during the summer months."

"The pet accommodations were good, our dog really enjoyed the outside yard and playing by the water. It was very peaceful, just what we were looking for. The house had everything you could need to enjoy your stay. It is close to other areas if you want to take a day trip. The colors on the trees were beautiful. "What a cozy, charming place. Everything we needed was there, the hosts were easy to communicate with. It was beautiful, peaceful and we had a lot of fun. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend staying here. It's a magical little place. My husband and I laughed a lot. It was a great weekend!"
