Wonderful hotel
Wonderful, beautifully designed modern hotel. Good bathroom and shower. We had a big balcony with whirlpool and all premium drinks were included.

Great property, friendly & helpful staff. Loved the location, very quiet neighborhood. Nice restaurants near by and the view from the rooftop was amazing especially for the sunset! Rooms were tiny but efficient and well equipped.

Best Hotel in Athens
This hotel was beyond our expectations. The staff was friendly and went out of its way to please you. Nina, went above and beyond to recommend things to do and restaurants to try. I will definitely be back at the Midernist. In my opinion it’s the best hotel in Athens.

We stayed at the Modernist Athens for 2 nights and had an overall very pleasant experience. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, the location was close by restaurants and shops, and across the street from the Metro. It was a quick taxi ride away from many of the major destinations, like museums and the Acropolis. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, which was included. There was a vast array of pastries, yogurt, toppings, and some menu options as well that were made-to-order. The only complaints that I have were (1) We stayed in the Deluxe Room with two Balconies and there were no bathrobes or slippers. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but this is pretty standard in most 4-star hotels, so I was surprised when I did not see this. (2) This is something that I've never complained about in all my years traveling, but the toilet paper in the hotel was rough, like sandpaper. We decided to purchase our own toilet paper and even the basic economy version that we got from the local drug store was softer than what the hotel was using. These complaints are very minor and overall did not diminish our experience, but it would certainly elevate the experience if these small details were considered. We were very pleased with our stay.

The Staff was lovely. All spoke English and were friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance to some cafes, shops, and a Metro line.

Our stay at Modernist was absolutely fabulous, impeccable furnishings, helpful, warm, friendly staff, everything we asked for was immediately attended to. Wonderful breakfast service, extremely convenient to the Acropolis, dining and shopping. The views of the Parthenon from the rooftop café in the evening while having drinks from the bar were amazing. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was.

This property exceeded our expectations. It was very well run from front staff to the breakfast and rooftop area. The level of service was exceptional and the location was within walking distance to syntagma square. Would definitely stay here again.

The best!
We had a layover in Athens and stayed in a family room with two young children. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family room with two bathrooms. The service was exceptional, we felt very well looked after from check-in to check out. The hotel recommended car transfers and arranged a private tour for us of Athens. They even packed breakfast boxes for us since we were going to miss breakfast. The hotel is located in Kolonaki, a safe and lovely area of Athens. We were able to walk to get gelato at 10 pm with our kids and felt safe in the area.

We took 4 rooms and were not given an upgrade. One of the rooms for my son was a disabled room so the bathroom was all in one. There is Kleenex in the room and no robes are provided. The gym only fits two persons and the space for hanging clothes is practically non existent. However, the staff are nice and helpful.

Perfect stay and amazing experience
My stay at the hotel in Athens was nothing short of perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the amenities were second to none. I found myself continually impressed with how well-maintained and clean everything was. The location was also ideal, allowing me to explore some of the city's most iconic attractions with ease. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Athens!

The Modernist was a great hotel. Staff were very helpful and good breakfast options included. Good restaurants in nearby area, and the more touristy areas were about a 20-30 min walk.

We had 2 rooms at The Modernist for 5 days and it was honestly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff is amazing. They always greet you with a warm smile and were very accommodating for all our needs and questions. We are many hours before our checkin due to our flight but we were able to enjoy the amenities until our room was ready. We went to the rooftop which has a beautiful view of the Acropolis and watched the sun rise. They had some blankets available so we took a nap for a few hours then went down the lobby/bar area for their amazing daily breakfast. Breads,pastels,cereals,eggs whichever way you want,pancakes,french toast,mini sandwiches and many other foods as well as fresh orange juice, coffee, fruits and vegetables. A buffet of food. Getting around the city was a breeze, Uber/Taxis always nearby or by foot or metro. We walked a few times to Syntagma Square which took us about 20 minutes and there are museums and other cultural sites you can see while walking. I can’t say enough about the staff. Truly a 5 star hotel.

Perfect hotel
Lovely location and hotel was just perfect. Got an upgraded room with free premium spirits and a hot tub! Staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable, really felt like a personal service.
