Peaceful and fun

Everything was as expected except no one told us how nice the staff was. They provided everything we needed and had lots of info about the property. Beautiful, peaceful and fun are the way a 14 year old described his time there.

Amazing 50th birthday celebration

Cedar Cove Ranch Resort was a gem to find, especially since we were all driving only a short distance for a weekend getaway to celebrate my 50th birthday. We typically book small trips and vacations in Broken Bow a few times of year with a group of 8-16 of us but tried a location closer to home for our weekend trip. The house and property were spectacular. We were impressed with the furnishings and cleanliness. The lakefront view and elevated outdoor firepit was spectacular and an overall very relaxing environment! We wished there was more comfortable seating by the firepit to accommodate all of us however. We were extremely happy not to have any one staying in the Lodge less than 25 yards away so we had the area to ourselves. We chose not to do any excursions and to just enjoy the setting and the outdoors at the house. The ping pong table and corn hole game were an awesome addition. It’s a shame that the interior grand fireplace cannot be used because in the winter months that would be such a spectacular setting to be able to enjoy. It was unfortunate the kayaks and paddle boats at the private dock were not available to use unless you paid an additional rental fee. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will consider coming back for another stay at some point in the future. April

Beautiful Getaway - but a few surprises

This stunning home sits on a private lake, this is not Cedar Creek lake- so if you're on VRBO and searching for Cedar Creek properties, this may be confusing. The home is part of a large private ranch and other families will be on property with you if you do not book all the lodging facilities. This led to some confusion and frustration for our group and another group on site. Additionally, unlike many lake homes, unmotorized water sports are NOT included. Again, that led to a bit of confusion. Overall, the home is STUNNING, incredibly well appointed and has all the amenities you can imagine to make the stay wonderful. The property is gorgeous and would be ideal for a family reunion, corporate get away or weekend away. Just be sure you understand that this is not a single home on the lake, and you'll have a contract to sign before arriving.

Excellent place

a very charming property - lovely house with magnificent views of the lake. The staff was very nice and the water sports were amazing. We also tried the outdoor gun range and again a very pleasant experience. Overall an excellent experience and can’t wait to be back

BEYOND AMAZING!!

Our stay at Cedar Cove Ranch was one of the biggest blessings for our family, Everything from check in to the cabin to the amazing service while there was way beyond our hopes for this trip. The adults had a blast and so did the kids. We are already booking another trip there and cannot wait to be back. Don't miss this opportunity to get away from the city and experience nature and kindness at it's best. Thank you to everyone at Cedar Cove Ranch! We love you all!!

Awesome cabin, with too many eyes

Cabin & fishing are great, exterior to cabin is very nice. The on-site staff stay in rooms on property, “to help”. If you are there for a get away with your wife, you don’t really need the ranch hands hanging around watching you. There were many positives but the on site staff is are intrusive and sleep within a stone’s throw of this Grand Chateau. There are multiple lodges on the same property , so don’t expect privacy on 700 acres . Staff is around even if you don’t call for them & also at night. Some lights shine on the Chateau fire pit from the adjacent apartment lodge. It could be a 5 star with more privacy and the staff not being so close in evening and at night.

Great trip and Beautiful Location.

We enjoyed our long weekend here. It was so nice to see the kids out in nature 24/7. They had a blast fishing, canoeing, Clay shooting, riding the ATV, horseback riding and more. The property staff were great. A few small hiccups with weather and equipment didn’t deter our fun. We look forward to coming back.

Great property, just a few problems.

The property is great and the cabin was excellent for our party of 10. It’s a great setting and we had a lot of fun with our family there. The property is presented as a resort/ranch with multiple houses on the 700-acre property, and there is 24hr support available. We had a lot of fun, even though we visited out of season. We had a few issues - that I think would have been resolved with more clarity in the listing or at check-in, and better resources given to the property. There’s an indoor fireplace, but your not allowed to use it. We purchased wood from the property, only to find out later it could only be used in the outdoor fire pit because guests aren’t allowed to use the indoor fireplace. There was only one extra roll of paper towels at the property, but it was under the sink where there was also a leak (which soaked them thru). When we called to ask for more paper towels, we were told the entire property was out of paper towels. Given this property was outside of town, it’s not easy to get more items in a pinch. The outdoor grill didn’t work, so we had to go to a nearby house and borrow that grill (by rolling it nearer our house). There is a volleyball court onsite but it sags down so far it’s really unusable. We asked for a volleyball which they obliged and delivered to the volleyball court, but the court wasn’t useable. We had a few more small issues that were somewhat inconvenient that we had to wade thru. I think this property is more focused on the warmer months (and rightfully so), and we paid the discounted winter rates, which resulted in slimmer staff and support for the grounds. Again, it’s a beautiful property and the home was nice. But it didn’t quite live up to everything we hoped for. I would stay there again only if I had some assurance that these issues were resolved and the staff and facilities were better resourced.

This place is amazing!!

I can’t say enough great things about this place, truly amazing. The owner Mr. Sheeps is an awesome person, always ready to help. The view is amazing, house is extremely clean and well organized. Honestly it looks much better than the photos posted online. This place will be our future weekend getaways for sure. I highly recommend it to everyone. Than you so much Mr. Sheeps and Matt for the perfect weekend, I can’t wait to bring my family and friends over again soon.

Great house inside and out.

The property was everything we were hoping it would be. The outside sitting area was great in the morning for sunrise and wonderful at night for a fire with s’mores! Josh was great and very helpful with anything we needed. The house was great inside and worked great with our large group. This place definitely deserves a revisit in the summer when you can enjoy the water activities.

Cedar Cove Ranch - The Perfect Combination of Seclusion, Luxury, and Service

Our family spent almost a full week at this lake house retreat in Eustace, TX. We have met for family vacations on many properties - mountain homes, beach homes, various resorts, and other lake houses. Everyone agrees -> This stay was the BEST time for all of us! The Grand Chateau is spacious and lovely and well-appointed. The lake is beautiful with great fishing and plenty of room to play! The property is gorgeous. And...one of the most important factors...The Staff Was Attentive to our every need; yet, allowed us the independence we desired. If we are playing the Five Star Game -- Cedar Cove Ranch is FIVE on all fronts!

Awesome Getaway House

The property, lake and the house was beautiful. The house is very spacious and has everything you need. Josh the caretaker was an awesome host. He made our trip enjoyable with helping us with any needs or questions we had during our stay. I recommend this place to anyone who want to get out of the city life for a bit and get off the grid into the country.

Lovely Place

We stayed at the Chateau for a Bachelorette Weekend. The Bride wanted to shop in Canton and this was the perfect place (it's 15-20 minutes from Canton). Lots of activities available; however, after a couple of days shopping outside in August heat, we were content to just hang out and "visit" -- we never even turned on the television. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Our family had a fantastic Spring Break. Fishing was great. Cabin was spacious and had everything!

Fun times! Just wish lake was larger. Not much to kayak or boat in. Perfect for fishing. By the end of trip our son was casting and pulling his own fish onto the boat dock.

Awesome Weekend

Everything about our weekend at Cedar Cove Ranch was perfect – the house, the lake, Arlan and his crew, even the weather. They went out of their way at every turn to make sure we had what we needed. The activities we planned ahead of time went off without a hitch and were a big hit with our house full of 13 year old girls. To find a house and property this beautiful just an hour south of downtown Dallas is rare, but the optional activities are what really put Cedar Cove Ranch over the top. It's like having your own 700 acre resort with a friendly staff to carry out whatever it is you choose to do. We started planning another weekend before we even left!
