The Neighborhood:

The area:



The ancient city of Piraeus is the main port for Athens, located within the city's urban area. You can hop on a ferry to any of the Greek islands. Piraeus is 12 kilometers southwest from Athens' city center along the east coast of the Saronic Gulf.



The city has three main areas: the Central Port, the Zea marina, and Mikrolimano.



The Central Port area is also the main hub of town life and from where ferries depart. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the port to see cargo ships and sea liners.



In the Freatida area, you will find what's left of the ancient Piraeus Wall.



Zea Marina is for yacht watching as it's home to some of the world's most luxurious yachts and cruisers. You'll find many restaurants, taverns, bars, and stores along the oceanfront.



Kastella is a popular and picturesque quarter built on a hill known as Prophet Ilias. There are lovely winding streets and picturesque houses at the hill's summit. An outdoor theatre, Veakio, hosts notable cultural events during the summer.



The Archeological and Maritime Museums are worth a visit as well.



Metro station "Pireaus" is a building worth visiting if you didn't arrive via the train. This magnificent building with its arched dome (1929) was renovated not so long ago.



Athens is approximately 20 minutes by car or public transportation.

This fee cannot be included in the booking price and must be collected separately before arrival, as stipulated by the Greek authorities. The fee is: €8 per night for apartments €15 per night for villas Please note: This amount is not a charge from us, and we do not profit from it in any way. Once we collect this fee, we pay it in full directly to the government as a tax. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to waive, reduce, or absorb this fee, no matter the circumstances. Payment is required before check-in, as per Greek law. We completely understand this might be frustrating, and we sincerely wish we could make it easier for you.
