It is easy to be put off by the general condition of the building upon entry. It is a bit dingy and outdated. However, the top two floors of the building appear to be undergoing a gentrification offering all the modern amenities. I cannot say enough about the view from the penthouse. It offers a 360 panorama of all of Athens and overlooks Monastiraki square. Although the neighborhood is busy and bustling, the apartment is quiet. Sophia, the owner, and Marina the property manager were exceptionally accessible and accomodating. It is located in the heart of the historic center and walkable to all of the major sites. We would definitely stay here again.

It is a nice property as described. Overall a good stay in a good ( not great) apartment. The Good: We enjoyed our stay specially due to the central location, access to the metro, stores, restaurants and to the acropolis. The view at night from the rooftop is terrific.We used the kitchen for coffee and the dinning table for takeout . The people we talked to and the lady helping us were very, very pleasant and helpful ( 5 stars to them)Not so good: The property has 2 bedrooms, the third is like a closet with a bed.The elevators are old and small. You fear you may get stuck

The view says it all. The apartment itself is nice enough, but you're not there for the apartment - you're there for the stunning view of the Acropolis from the large terrace. We started every morning with coffee on the terrace and finished every evening there, taking in the dazzling view of the Acropolis.Pros: Incredible view and excellent location. Cons: The entrance stairs and elevator are stiflingly hot. Even when we weren't particularly sweaty entering the building, we always were by the time we reached the apartment. (The elevator also stops one floor short, so you have to walk the final flight of stairs.) Also, you have to walk through the second bedroom to access the terrace.

Great stay!

Everything was excellent! But to mention something that gets overlooked at times, the kitchen was very well equipped and organized. Made breakfast there each day and it was a delight. Highly recommend this property!

Spacious rooftop with stunning views of acropolis and monastiraki square

Surprising location with amazing rooftop view of the acropolis. Peaceful setting above all the below activities. Easy walk to major historical sites. Easy access to nearby restaurants and markets. Fully equipped with kitchen accessories. Comfortable beds. Kept well cleaned. Maria does a great job. Interesting bathrooms. Felt very secure with family.

Remarkable View

Roof top is simply amazing - lots of private space. Inside is comfortable, clean and updated. Location is outstanding - lots of great restaurants and close to must see attractions. Host is very helpful and accessible. Appreciated early check in that allows us to store our bags after a cruise.

Once we entered the Vrbo, we were truly impressed with the view and the accommodations. We were near all the top areas in Athens including restaurants. The kitchen was well appointed. The entry way and the lifts does not give the vrbo justice and needs to be improved for first impressions. The front bedroom facing the Acropolis has a sewer smell from the bathroom. They said it was being looked into. For walking and tours you can’t beat the location

A Perfect Stay with Stunning Acropolis Views

My adult children and I stayed at the Acropolis Panorama View Penthouse w. Private Terraces in June 2024, and it was an amazing experience! The location was a dream, offering breathtaking views of the Acropolis and Parthenon. The property was incredibly comfortable and well-maintained, providing all the amenities we needed for a perfect stay. The owner was very easy to work with, making the whole process smooth and enjoyable. I will rent here again, and I highly recommend this penthouse for anyone visiting Athens!

Wonderful Penthouse Stay in Athens

Our stay in the penthouse in Athens was a great experience that our family will cherish for a long time. The highlight of the unit is undoubtedly the amazing rooftop terrace, which offers an excellent view of the Acropolis. Watching the historic landmark from the comfort of our terrace was truly breathtaking. The layout of the unit was a bit confusing at first, but it served our purposes well during the visit. Initially, the location seemed a bit odd, as it is situated on a street with commercial businesses. However, after a day, we got familiar with the neighborhood, and we really appreciated its walkability. Being able to easily reach Monastiraki Square and explore all the nearby shops, restaurants, and bars was fantastic. Wandering through the streets turned into an amazing adventure. We stumbled upon an area filled with lively Cuban restaurants and music, which added a vibrant touch to our trip. Sampling the local eateries and gelaterias was another highlight, giving us a true taste of Athens. A particularly memorable part of our stay was chartering a catamaran through Sailing Athens. This experience was a welcome retreat from the June heat. The company provided seamless transportation to and from the cruise, and we enjoyed a chef-prepared meal onboard, making it a luxurious and relaxing day. Overall, the penthouse's great location and unique charm make it highly recommended for anyone visiting Athens. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip!

Exceeded expectations

This place is really fantastic for its exceptional view of the Acropolis from the large terrace as well as the location at Monisteraki Square. The apartment is spacious with a kitchen with large windows and an additional terrace. The interior is a bit quirky but worked well for our family of 5. Gerasimos was a great host. He replaced some terrace chairs within hours of our reporting some damage and assisted us with arranging a private chef to cook a meal at the apartment (which was fantastic). He also assisted us with transportation from the airport and to the port.

Parthenon Terrace!

Gerasimos was an awesome host. The apartment was so conveniently located and comfortable. But, the star of the show was the large terrace overlooking the Parthenon. The only view better was at night, when the Parthenon was lit up.
